Not worth staying here. The room smelled terrible, was filthy, had almost no outlets only one in the bathroom and a few outside that were usually being used by staff, and the staff tried to overcharge me at check-in. They also only take cash, the location is far from the center 30 minutes from the center, so if you plan on going out even once a day, expect to spend around 40 quetzales extra on transportation, and a staff member even threw away my sleeping mask. Overall, a very bad experience.

Great hostel

this hostel is so pretty and relaxing, the outdoor area it lovely, big comfy beds, big shower, location is about a 20 min walk from everything there are closer hostels but this one was super great and staff awesome!

They gave me a room that had previously had the toilet overflow. I woke up from a nap with the scent of sewage and noticed water was seeping from the toilet. Luckily I was able to salvage most of my things but the some were drenched in toilet water. I don’t know why they would give me a room and not have fixed the problem. I had not even used the toilet for a few hours when it overflowed. I had to fight with them to give me a full refund because I had stayed one night. Not jmpressed

Great hostel, great people, would highly recommend !

Pour le prix l’endroit est super mais gros manque d’hygiène (pas de papier toilette tout le temps, une seule douche qui n’est même pas lavée tout les jours. Pas de liquide vaisselle.. des améliorations simples sont possibles comme un simple crochet dans la salle de bain pour accrocher ses affaires ! L’endroit reste super et le personnel très gentil je recommande quand même pour ce budget !

Staff were lovely and it’s super chill place to stay with a lovely courtyard. The 14bed dorm is really nice and spacious. The “8 bed” dorm is not; there are 4 double bunk beds & 4 single, so there were actually 14 people staying in there. It’s really cramped with barely anywhere to put your stuff. Recommend booking the 14bed as for the price, it’s a great place to stay! And they have a hostel bunny which is so cute :)

Loved staying at Taura! Great atmosphere, lovely volunteers, spacious dorms and comfy places to chill. Can even see Fuego erupt from the top floor! No lockers but that being said I felt safe to leave my stuff and the storage room for bags while hiking Acatenango was really useful.

The facilities look nice. Sadly, I wish they were more transparent that none of their services and events were available apparently until December including Yoga, Spa, communtiy dinners, as these are the things I chose it for.

Un hostal muy tranquilo, lo recomiendo para descansar, muy limpio y el staff muy agradable, tiene agua caliente, Cafe incluido. Y una cocina en buenas condiciones.

Initially it seemed very cute, lots of hammocks and places to hang out. However groups of friends or owners (?) of the hostel coming in and drinking in the common spaces which unsettled the calm vibes they portrayed. The girl who checked us in joked about how a guest got bitten by a dog outside of the hostel that day. They left a cleaners key in our room lock so anyone could go in without us knowing. Could never tell who worked there and the staff didn’t seem very keen to be there either.

I don’t know if i went during a bad time, but I felt unsafe here and it was empty other than one older man in the room. The beds smelled moldy and mildew-y and the sign outside warning about the dogs made me feel really scared to go out. I left after one night. As a female traveling alone I would recommend trying it at a busier season, it might be okay in a group but I would not go alone again. The staff were super friendly and it has a lot of potential, kitchen could be cleaner though.

The advantage is that it is cheap and the spot is cute, other than that they charge to keep your bag and charge 3times the amount of a restaurant for dinner.

Slight walk from the center of Antigua but you absolutely cannot beat the price or the atmosphere of this place. It was genuinely my favorite hostel I’ve ever stayed in and it was also the cheapest. 100/10

decent for the price if you are just staying a few nights. The places looks great and has plenty of places to sit and work. my critiques. my bed did not have a curtain or a light. No towel was included cost extra. guests are not allowed to use the kitchen and meals where a bit over priced in my opinion for what they were. The shower was big but not cleaned often enough. all in all I feel you get what you pay for. cheap room but then I still ended up buy food somewhere else. location isnt ideal.

Vibey hostel a bit outside central Antigua. I would highly recommend for those who want chill nights in. If you want to stay out late, then I recommend hostels in Antigua because there are extrenely aggressive dogs outside the hostel that get out at night. I'm usually good with animals, but I was genuinely concerned for my safety due to the dogs. Otherwise, the staff are very nice and helpful.
