Laguna Park Hostel ( El Castillo)

Nice location, nice employees and the beds and everything were good too. Very relaxed vibe.

The place has lots of potential but the maintenance is terrible. Almost all the rooms have problems with the bathroom (the toilet or the shower doesn't work) The walls are full of holes and humidity. The rooms smell funny and are really dirty It seems that the owners don't take care of the property

Kitchen was very messy, rooms filled with ants and never any toilet paper. Maybe as it was off season, there was no one staying, which made it very dead. Also, quite a walk to the beach

Hostel has a lot of potential It’s located safely in a gated community, unfortunately at the very end of it, thus 15 minute of walking required Nice common areas More sunbeds at the pool would be nice And no lockers in the rooms Also no AC, only fans which only help a little with the heat Hostel staff super nice

Kind of a weird space. A lot of potential, but the execution is far from perfect. We were the only people there. The main areas were clean but as soon as you dig a bit deeper you'll see that the cleanliness is surface-level. There's a pool, but I didn't try it so can't comment on it. The staff were fairly friendly. The location was pretty good, about a 15 minute walk from the beach, and in a secure area.
