Casa Caracol Cádiz

Much better hostels available with in better areas for half the price. This was the first hostel I stayed in while in Cadiz and afterwards I stayed at another hostel not far away but in a MUCH better location with much better facilities, cleanliness, and size. This hostel was small, cluttered, dirty, and I had to shower with a bucket and mop next to me. The dinner they offered was so small that we all went to a restaurant to eat again afterwards because we were still hungry.

If you like sleeping on a mattress on a shelf with no guard rail 6ft 6 high, with the risk of waking up falling to life changing injuries, by all means, book here. I asked to change beds, but was told it wouldn't be possible, so decided to give it a shot for one night. When I went to bed, I felt so unsafe I couldn't even bring myself to lie down and ended up taking my sheets to the kitchen and sleeping on the benches there, being woken every time someone came back.

The hostel is in the middle of the city centre which is nice. The staff is really kind and helpful. There is also a free breakfast which is great. And food for 7 euros every night. However if you pay 40 euros a night you would expect a little bit more. There was mold in the dorm room and top beds do not have curtains. If it was cheaper I would recommend:)

Good: - Friendly staff - Easy to meet people through - Great location - Breakfast included (although it's just pancakes... I think it should have savoury such as toast, cheese etc) - Locker for belongings Bad: - Meals only meat - Lock wouldn't always open on my door - Facilities in room are bad - no shelf for belongings (I had to sleep with my glasses next to me...) and the 'private' bathroom was down a corridor through communal areas. Room definitely not 'deluxe' - Was not shown ...

The dorm female room no fresh air , the steam from the bath and the smell of going to the toilet are also in the room , and the room is not soundproof, you can clearly hear the kitchen and the upper and lower floors. The smell of the kitchen carries into the room , and does the sound of the drains

It was an alright place to stay. Lockers were broken/not secure. One of the volunteers took some of my food. Overall got a weird vibe from the hostel staff. Although the lady at the front desk was nice.

I stayed in the other part of the hostel, which has individual rooms and the place is perfect if you are looking for a quieter place but still want to be kept in the loop about the hostel's activities. You can also go to the hostel for breakfast. The building has a beautiful rooftop terrasse. The place is clean and the room as A/C. Only minor point: you can hear absolutely everything from the other rooms.

Cozy Hostel. Nice and helpful staff. Had a good experience here, the only thing that bothered me, was that you cannot use the kitchen from 09.00am until 10.45am, as the Hostel makes free pancakes in the morning and occupies the whole kitchen for that. Which is a super sweet idea, but just very annoying for people who, because food allergies, cannot eat pancakes and would like to make their own breakfast, and dont want to wait until 11am to est breakfast or wake up before to be able to eat.

best hostel in a long while for me. family dinners, concert on the rooftop and an overall great vibe and healthy mix of ages. I would come back specifically for this one. cheers to the team running the place :) !

Julia y Carmen fueron excelentes recepcionistas, me han ayudado con cada duda y lo mismo el resto del staff. Todos son muy amables y ensima hacen desayuno cada mañana. El lugar y los baños siempre limpios y la ubicación inmejorable. De los mejores hostels donde he estado

Loved my stay at Casa Caracol! Perfect location, super friendly and helpful staff, plus the pancakes and coffee in the mornings were amazing. Will definitely be back to visit again! Me encantó el lugar, su ubicación, está en pleno centro, cerca de la playa, del metro, cerca de todo. El personal es muy amable, Julia es una genia, me recomendó un montón de lugares. Ofrecen desayuno sin cargo, con unos ricos pancakes, tienen actividades todas las noches. Me sentí segura en el lugar, es limpio y muy acogedor. Guardan el equipaje sin cargo, tienen baño en recepción, locker y baño en la habitación. Volvería sin dudas!!

Bien situado y acogedor. Tiene mucha personalidad. Personal cercano y atento. La cama es bastante cómoda, la almohada podría ser más alta (pedí otra y me dieron una sin problema). La verdad que es un lugar estupendo y repetiría.

Me encantó mucho mi tiempo en la Casa Caracol Cádiz! Es un Hostel muy amigable y lleno de vibras positivas! Los trabajadores me ayudaron mucho con todas mis preguntas y son muy amigables. También tienen a muy buenos voluntarios como el muchacho Antonio! Mi tiempo en la casa Caracol fue excelente! Definitivamente me vuelvo a quedar allí cuando vuelva a Cádiz!:)

Best hostel ever!!!! It really felt like home here, everyone cooking and talking around the dining table every day. Rooftop is lovely and sunny and there are all the facilities you could need. Didn’t want to leave! Perfect mix of chill and good vibes.

Great hostel. I loved the cool bunk beds 🙏 I didn’t spend much time here but the staff was friendly and the free breakfast was a great bonus.
