Popeyes Beach Resort Caye Caulker

Comfortable beds but definitely not worth it for the price. There was a horrible sewage smell coming from the bathroom and loads of ants by the sink.

The property was very basic. All the floor tiles was cracked/broken. The shower was hit & miss. They did change the shower head but very little water pressure & never warm. Great location though.

The room itself was fine and clean but the staff were really rude, not accommodating at all. We didn’t have running water for much of our stay. They didn’t have filtered water on offer for guests either.

Die Zimmer waren furchtbar! Alles voller Mücken und Spinnen..Schimmel und modrige Badezimmer. Das Personal leider auch sehr unfreundlich und nicht hilfsbereit! Die Ausstattung ist auf Minimum reduziert, an sich nicht schlimm, aber komplett Schrott. Kein einziger Haken an der Wand um etwas aufzuhängen. Wirklich schrecklich, lieber ein zwei Euro/Doller mehr in die Hand nehmen und etwas anderes suchen!

Clean room and friendly staff. However biggest downfall was AC was broken so temporary AC unit in room - the aircon ducting was sticking out the window, held in place with styrofoam. There was multiple gaps for mosquitos. The bathroom also had terrible sewerage smell that was unbearable. Our friends got another room and had non of these issues

absolutely avoid this place at all costs. The only good thing about it was getting to leave. My room was mouldy and damp and smelled terrible. there was no hot water, the wifi hardly worked and the staff were rude and told me "thats what i get for booking cheap accommodation". No matter how cheap it is you cant put people in a room where the walls are rotting away. the whole properly floods too and they just do nothing about it. there is no restaurant/any other amenities listed. Ruined my time.

The staff emailed asking if we’d be there by their check in time otherwise they would charge our card, we arrived at 3pm and the room wasn’t ready (they said it was an air on fault but they actually just don’t have enough staff. The poor cleaner has to clean every room on her own) They have a sign on the door saying the room is cleaned every 3rd or 4th day, we asked on the 3rd day if we could get a refresh, they said no only if guests are staying 7 nights. Room needs serious renovations, paint is peeling from the walls, floor is chipped. Hard thin bed with scratchy sheets and the thinnest towels I’ve ever seen. Bathroom isn’t completely closed off from the room and the shower is gross. Nice location, staff are friendly enough.

Die Tür zum Hotelzimmer schließt zwar, ist aber dennoch unten ausgehangen. Ich denke einmal kräftig ziehen kriegt sie jeder auf. Das Bad war wirklich sehr alt, die Klobrille richtig eklig verfärbt und nicht einladend. Das Wasser aus der Leitung riecht komisch. Die Mitarbeiter waren nicht sehr freundlich. Alles in allem kann man hier schon übernachten, allerdings bei dem Preis stimmt die Leistung einfach gar nicht. Das bei drei Nächten und viel Regen nicht einmal gewischt wurde, auch schwie...

We spent the last 3 years at Popeyes while on our Easter Vacation week. It is so comfortable and so close to everything. The staff are very attentive and helpful. We plan on staying there every year.

Popeyes was a great place to stay while in caye caulker! This was more of a hotel room style stay! We were lucky enough to get a room with a fridge and microwave as we made our breakfast in the room every morning. The staff were very pleasant. The place itself was not a place to mingle and meet people but we enjoyed our stay!

I had a wonderful stay at Popeyes Beach Resort in Caye Caulker. The location is fantastic!! Right by the ferry terminal, which makes arrival and departure incredibly easy, especially if you’re traveling with luggage. It’s also within easy walking distance of everything on the island. The staff was excellent, friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. The property felt safe, clean, and well maintained, and overall it was great value for the price.

Der Wasserhahn und die Dusche haben nicht richtig funktioniert, der Kühlschrank war sehr alt und unheimlich laut. Unten aus den Fugen bei der Toilette kam Wasser. Das Bett ist bei Bewegungen immer an die Wand geknallt, was ein lautes dumpfes Geräusch ausgelöst hat, von dem man nachts wach wurde.

Nice enough place to stay but nothing too exciting. Staff were quite rude when checking in and the door of our room didn’t lock very well.

The location was great! There was AC in the room. Room also came with a mini fridge and a microwave. Shower had hot water. This was a decent price for the stay and amenities. Hotel wasn’t a social spot and it was more like a motel than fancy resort hotel. There was a pool but I didn’t use it. My bedroom door also couldn’t lock well at all so I just gave up on locking it. I probably would have paid more for a better hotel elsewhere if I revisit Caye Caulker.

great place! we got a room here that was basically a hotel room at near hostel prices (relative to caye caulker. it's right across the "street" to the beach and has a nice dock out on to the water. would highly recommend. caye caulker itself is amazing, we extended our trip twice

Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Meiner Meinung nach eins der besten Hotels, vor allem für den Preis. Sehr nah am Hafenanleger, wo die Wassertaxis fahren. Restaurants und Bars in der Nähe.

Absolutely amazing location! I wish it was a little cleaner, but I am kind of a germaphobe, so staying in hostels is tough for me sometimes. However, there's great benefits to staying here. Right across the street, there's a great place to eat and drink, called Salty's. The snorkeling tours through the hostel are AMAZING. The pool is nice and looks out on the street, and there's great views from the balconies as well.

Nice hotel with AC and close to the main street. However, no cleaning was included unless you stayed more that 7 days - not even toilet bins was changed.

More hotel than hostel. No social atmosphere, no common areas really, no breakfast etc… But nice room with nice location, friendly service.

This was a great place to stay, right by the ferry port and we were made to feel welcome. The rooms have the basic necessities for your stay, and AC worked well. Beds were comfy and our room was spotless on arrival. Perfect for a couple who spent most of their time out and looking to explore the island. Pool was a social area, and there was a courtyard also. However if you’re travelling solo and looking to meet people, probably look elsewhere.

Stayed here last minute with my partner while the rest of our group of 12 were at Bella’s backpackers. It turned out great, not a far walk to anywhere on the island and nice to have our own space with some aircon. Staff was friendly and the room was clean. Nothing really going on in the property in terms of socialising but there are many spots to do that on the island so this was just a check point to come back to every night.

Great private room, clean and a perfect base to explore. Towels included and spacious bathroom. Good location right by the dock. Can walk everywhere. WiFi was patchy. My room didn’t have a proper lock so it didn’t feel that secure. Apparently there’s security on at night but I never saw them. Pool doesn’t really get used as it’s right on the road side. No atmosphere as it’s all private rooms with no communal area. So it’s perfect if you just want to do your own thing and chill.

Muy simpático el staff, nos atendieron super bien y siempre muy alegres todos. El lugar tiene una locación increíble y el restaurante que está en frente tiene música todos los días y un ambiente y vista increíble. También hablan español 🥰 La piscina le da un plus al lugar con sus atardeceres ☺️ gracias 🤩
