Private room with ensuite which was basic but clean and as described. The reviews noting the reception persons seeming disinterest and low motivation to assist were accurate but this did not affect my stay. The other issues of which people have written is the uncomfortable vibe of locals hanging out in the common area at the pool tables - I felt the same, and no wifi was inconvenient. Overall, I had a good experience and would recommend if you want budget accommodation in a good location

The place doesn’t have hot water readily available. Only 1 controlled DStv for the entire facilities.

This place has so much potential. It is not run or setup for Westerns. If you want an African lodging experience this the place for you. Unfortunately, most of the facilities are not as advertised-mosquiti net, WiFi...The 99% of the guest are native local African which possible explains the reluctance to make the simple basic improvements...All staff are welcoming.

Reception staff not friendly on arrival. Strange vibe. Sheets & pillows stained. Bed was comfy. No bin in dorm. No toilet tissue in toilets, have to have your own. Hot (ish) shower. Good for 1 night stay. Security staff nice & friendly.

It is far past it’s prime. More of a local hangout to play billiards than for guests. Furniture was falling apart, fans didn’t work, mosquito nets had holes, no doors on bathrooms closed properly. It was not very friendly or inviting but rather just take your money and go! Kitchen was not really usable accept by staff. There are many many much nicer backpacker places in the same neighborhood!

- Hard to find - Card machine didn’t work - Outdated, broken, and grubby furniture - No toilet roll or soap - Basically, a bit of a dive and I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you have to. There are two other hostels very nearby that aren’t on Hostelworld, which are possibly a bit nicer for the same price. Overall, we spent one night here and slept well and the bed was fine…

Brilliant Hostel with great facilities

you will get a very bad grade from me, first; when we came (announced later g time) the room was not ready for us, the maid was just ironing the bedclothes, and I was terribly tired after a trip that lasted about 28 hours, i.e. I had traveled some 11,000 km, not to mention the condition of the bathroom and toilet when we saw and experienced that, we asked for another room, we got room no. 13 in which the cistern in the toilet was not working, and we had to pay extra for that room all in all,...
