La Guaca Hostel Santa Marta

Dit was echt een superfijn hostel! We zijn hier terechtgekomen na een lange en ellendige ziekenhuisdag en dit voelde echt als thuiskomen! Lief personeel en een fijne kamer, zeker de prijs/kwaliteitverhouding is heel goed! Het ligt alleen wat verder weg van het centrum, maar daar ben je ook in een paar minuutjes met de goedkope uber, dus dat was geen enkel probleem. Zeker aan te raden!

Central location. Bed comfortable. Shower stream strong. Staff helpful and provided good laundry service.

El staff es súper amable y amigable! Siempre te saludan y te ayudan dando tips de lo que puedan. La ubicación está bien, un poco más alejado del centro histórico, por lo que en las noches tomábamos ubers al centro. Los baños estaban limpios (yo lo tuve compartido) y está muy bueno que tengan lockers donde puedas guardar tus cosas con un candando

The staff are what made the stay great! My friend and I struggle with Spanish and they spoke very slowly and patiently with us which helped us learn and communicate effectively. Hostel is a bit far from everything and the bunk beds shake with every movement so sleeping was difficult if somebody was above or below you. Breakfast was great, and the space was clean though. Thank you!!

Staff very friendly, but the hostel itself was not very nice and the vibes were a bit off.

Good spot to stay if you want to head out and explore Tayrona.

This hostel is gorgeous, absolutely loved my stay! Everyone who works there is so nice and helpful (especially Yessica) and the common areas are great & so clean. Loved the double bed too

Super cute hostel with amazing staff!!! The free breakfast was great. Rooms were super comfy and felt very safe. So many nice areas to chill out, they have a TV with Netflix!! I’d definitely recommend to stay here when in Santa Marta

It's a nice cheap hostel with super kind staff! when we've been there, we shared a room with an aggressive around 50year old gut, who semt to be friends with the owner (who was very friendly himself), and tried to provocate a fight multiple times. We didn't really enjoyed staying so close to him in the dorm and the chill areas. Otherwise it's nice, they have a pool and offer a pretty cheap laundry service.

I loved that place!

La Guaca was a great hostel! The staff were amazing and the hostel itself was beautiful. Really good common spaces and the rooms were nice too. The included breakfast was soooo good as well. It was a bit far from the centre and everything we wanted to go see and do, but taxis are relatively cheap so it was okay. I would recommend!

Very nice and helpful staff! Perfect place, before you go to Tayrona, Palomino or Minca, since you can store your stuff super easily and uncomplicated

Un lugar acogedor con un personal muy amable y atento.

Good value for money, chill hostel, lots of places to hang out. It was super hot, only had air conditioning on 9pm-7am needed to come on earlier. Kitchen was decent but no oven and hob almost burnt ya hand off every time we lit it! Pool was nice, lots of info on things to do in the area and staff were lovely!

Lots of mosquitos and beds aren’t very comfortable

bed was thin and had a concave which hurt, pillow was uncomfortable, caused back issues. not the best location. however, decent priced, and LOVELY staff. if they replace some of the bedding i'd say shaping up to be a great place. also outer security is good + they have lockers.

The hostel was perfect, clean and the stuff was really helpful. Especially, the kitchen had all necessary equipment and it was clean.

We had a nice stay at La Guaca. The staff was easy to communicate with, and it was easy to locate the hostel. The hostel provided free breakfast and had a small pool onsite. The dorm room had air conditioner that was turned on for the night.
