Dirty and not worth the proce

…I'm a regular backpacker hostel user…and wanted to try this in-a-box experience…so I booked it, thinking I'd paid the usual price of between €15 and €30 a night. EXCEPT that: 1- you're in Queenstown 2- it's the marathon season Result and conclusion…the price was four times higher = $240 …I have to admit, that's not serious…even dishonest…it’s not a mistake..but the pity reality I left the next day!!! …cRis

horrendous time, worst ever at a hostel

Das Doppelzimmer war sehr klein. aber sauber. Die Gemeinschaftsküche war sehr schmutzig und das lag nicht nur an den Gâsten. Schränke, Besteckkästen und Wasserkocher wurden offensichtlich ewig nicht gereinigt. Auf meiner mehrwöchigen Reise habe ich noch nie so eine verdreckte Küche erlebt. An der Rezeption muss man sich am Computer selbst ein- und ausschecken. Bei Nachfragen wurde teilweise pampig reagiert.

The capsules themself are truly amaZing ! They got separate light , fan and chargers inside. Great AC inside the rooms. Fantastic location and staff. Only thing is , kitchen is awefully small and then you have to head to the 4th floor to eat

Overall ok - was fun to sleep in a pod and it was very close to the city. But the facilities are way to small for the amount of guests. Therefore everything gets dirty very quickly. The kitchen is too small and the dining area is too far away.

Overpriced as hell. But genrally pretty good. Lots of privacy in pods. Rooftop bar is permanently closed,this is left very vague on there advertising. Bar is closed don’t expect a bar!

Stayed the weekend of the Queenstown marathon… what an absolute sh** show. Booked months in advanced and still paid $115 per night for a single pod. When we checked in,they had over booked so we were forced to stay in the staff living pod. The poor staff had to pack up their stuff and move in to a different room all together to accomodate us. How is it possible to kick your staff out of their home that they pay for??? That is disgusting and clearly signs of greed from management to make extr...

Great location. Sleeping pods are good too. Generally a good experience. ladies showers could do with a little bit more attention. Would go back.

Für ein Pod Hostel solide, in der Hauptsaison doch definitiv krass überteuert. Personal sehr freundlich, nur die Küche kann echt dreckig werden

Good stay in Queenstown! Good and clean facilities in a walkable location in the town too

POD style bunks are great for creating your own space.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. Great location! Lots to do and the help ya too to find stuff to do.

Really a great hostel overall but with one problem - the pods and rooms were stuffy and hot especially at night, there was no airflow and the fans barely worked.

Really great location in the heart of Queenstown and literally steps away from the restaurants and shops, the only issue is that there are a lot of partiers and rowdy people, so might not be the best option if you are trying to wake up early for a hike or something.

Great well run place to stay. Excellent social setting with lounge, dining and kitchen area. Privacy excellent with pod sleeping arrangement.

Decent hostel, pods are nice but kitchen was a little overcrowded and didn’t feel the cleanest. Staff was super nice

Booked two beds and we were allocated different rooms on completely separate floors. Staff were rude when I questioned this. Overall really good facilities, straighteners and hairdryers in bathrooms. Lockable storage and comfortable beds. Rooms were a bit cramped but only an issue when trying to pack your bag

Location great. I was put in a ground floor dorm without a window (felt like staying in a basement). But ventilation was good. Cleanliness could be improved for sure! Building is huge, and no one showed me around, so in 4 days I never even went once to the 4th floor where apparently there is a kitchen…

LyLo Queenstown is a modern, pod-style hostel right in the heart of Queenstown. The location is unbeatable — just steps from shops, bars, and the waterfront. The pods offer more privacy than typical dorm bunks, with power points and storage, making them a comfy option for budget travellers.The vibe is social and youthful, and staff are generally friendly and helpful. Downsides? The pods can feel a bit stuffy, and noise can be an issue during busy periods.Overall, it’s a great choice.

Adequate private room with ensuite. Pretty small and interior with no windows (disclosed before booking). Nice enough but better value elsewhere.

Toilets were not great (not clean). Pods are very good. I am used to cheaper hostels but that are probably Queenstown prices. Can recommend!

Pods are class, not the most social hostel ever

Queenstown Lylo made this trip come alive. The staff are approachable to no end and the location is quite perfect. Super clean. super fun. i will be returning.

Had such a great stay here. Warm staff, really beautiful roof bar area and great rooms. Would definitely stay here again
