Completely dead when I stayed, zero vibe Good proximity to El Rio if you can’t get in there but otherwise I really would not recommend Female dorm en-suite has no toilet seat which is always nice lol

This is only good for partying. The place is loud and smells bad at times, our room smelled aggressively chemical. Very empty interior in the room, cramped at the same time. All this shows in the people it attracts, and how much they care how they leave their dishes for example. Will not go there again.

for 1 or 2 nights okay. there is not much of a social spirit there. pool is not really clean and the shared kitchen fridge had a lot of rotting things in it, which was really disgusting. we did not really know who is working there. but the man that gave us our room was nice. 👍🏼 common area is nice and it has a lot of potential.

good cause close to Rio, if you wanna party there but it's like a cheap motel. BUT we had the A/C as a pro and the guy from the stuff was nice and helpful

I stayed at La Perla for a music festival due to its proximity to parties and overall, it was a good experience. The hostel has a huge garden with lots of areas to chill and friendly staff. The rooms have AC as well. It is way too expensive for what it is tho. The rooms are not cleaned enough and there are no working lockers in the room.

Good location if you’re going to el Rio party but otherwise it’s too far to get anywhere else. The staff were great, we had a really good time here

The Hostel in general was good. The dorm was air conditioned and dark. But there were to bins for trash. The kitchen was not cleaned often. The fridge did not work so the food started molding within 2 days. They told me to put my food in the freezer because this was the part that was a bit colder. But after some days the freezer started freezing and all my fresher vegetables was frozen. One junger guy working there seemed super unmotivated all the time. He never smiled or said good morning.

The kitchen was unusable, bathrooms cramped and dirty, room spacious. Not a sole staying there despite lots on hostel world, left 3 days early

Very relaxing hostel with nice outdoor space and a good pool. Really well equipped kitchen. We didn’t really meet anyone else here but came for some quiet downtime so that wasn’t a problem. The water in our bathroom only worked in the morning and none of the showers were great.

Hostal mainly for people going to el Rio. Really lovely friendly staff. Nice garden area with pool. Got tacos to eat which were tasty. In a private room, basic room however lots of ants and insects in the room. There was no light/light bulb in the room so had to use phone light at night to see. Also there was only a fan on the wall so the room got very hot, whereas the dorm rooms had good A/C.

I had a really great stay at Hostal La Perla. The rooms and common areas are very clean, with AC or fans and comfortable chill spots by the pool and in the hammocks. There is a basic but well‑equipped kitchen, strong Wi‑Fi, mango trees with fresh mangoes, and free water included. Billi, the owner, is super friendly, polite, and very helpful – he even plays music and has sports on TV. Absolute recommendation! This place attracts beautiful and authentic souls :)

Billy was awesome! Highly recommend this hostel, excellent vibe and service (and they have DJ decks you might be able to jump on whoop)

Clean, safe and great value hostel. The staff are the most genuine, kind-hearted and friendly people we’ve met. They also helped us organise our transport to the El Rio hostel party. Very cute and friendly animals on site too. Slightly quiet atmosphere, but a great place to relax and a good base for any El Rio parties. Can’t recommend it enough, thanks for a great stay!

Karina is the kindest soul and super helpful, made the stay so worth it.

Great stay if you’re looking to be near El Rio for the Sunday night party. Short bike away from the party. Facilities are solid, price is great. Lovely place overall.

Billy was very helpful host! The A/C was on all day. Great location if you are heading to the Rio party with moto taxis for only 7,000COP

I appreciate this place - everyone was there to go out at el Rio but was still nice. Rooms did not lock and lockers were very dodgy. Was difficult to get back into at night when coming home late. Felt slightly not secure but good atmosphere all round. Proper hostel compared to el Rio, viajero etc - it is what you pay for.

Little oasis in Buritaca to chill, away from the larger hostels but close enough to enjoy the parties via Moto taxi. 100% recommended

Great hostel especially if you wanna go party at El Rio, super social vibe and nice pool and lovely staff! One day the cat peed in the room which was not nice… but staff cleaned the room and let us change room
