+ 60 euro een nacht om te slapen in strond geur
+ Solo me gustó la ubicación.
- No me gustó que me anularan la reserva dos días antes de llegar. No me dieron ninguna explicación. Solo se limitaron a decirme que me habían reservado en otro hostel que obviamente no era tan céntrico.
+ Given what I didn't like about the place, what I did like is negligible.
- The hostel offers kayak rental. They ask for an ID as deposit (which, as I later got to learn, is illegal!!!), but don't automatically return; they say goodbye to you without even entering the room where you had to deposit it. "Of course" I forgot it, causing me a denied boarding, a significant amount of stress, a loss of a day and hundreds of euros. I discussed the situation with them, in a calm and polite manner, they refuse any responsibility. Dear reader, you might say it's my mistake, and you are surely right - partially. It could easily happen to you too when you sign up for a relaxing adventure, and not for additional responsibility. But this slot here is not a review of me, it's a review of the place. And the place also made many, many mistakes. - They do not communicate in advance that they ask for a deposit, it's a "surprise" on the spot. - They asked for an ID as deposit, which, as it turns out, is illegal (it's the government's property, not mine). - Upon return, they say goodbye to you without giving back the ID or reminding you about it. - They admitted that multiple people had already forgotten their ID there. They clearly knew that their workflow was severely broken, yet did not care to fix it. - They admitted that they called me much-much later than noticing my forgotten ID (on a rainy day with only one other customer). They did not do their due diligence to fix the mistake in a timely manner. After multiple rounds of discussions, they deny any responsibility and deny to even partially compensate me; not even to the extent of refunding the rental or the additional night that I had no other choice than to also stay there, which would still only be a tiny fraction of my damages. They might be fixing this very workflow now, but one thing surely doesn't change: Even if they are heavily at fault, whatever happens, rest assured: they won't take any responsibility.

- L emplacement :. Si vous souhaitez dormir durant les festivités à Gand, allez ailleurs. Impossibilité de dormir avant deux heures du matin, car les nuisances et le volume sonore sont très importantes. Festivités cela ne veut pas dire boire des bières toute la journée et tout jeter ( canettes et verres plastique....) dans les rues. Le lendemain dans les rues de Gand c est une porcherie. Vive les festivités pour les alcoolos et bravo pour les gens des services de la ville qui doivent nettoyer tous les matins les saloperies de petits bourgeois qui viennent se bourrer la gueule sans aucun respect.

- The staff I met in the first night looks like smoking weeds and gave me 2 sheet instead of 1 sheet and 1 duvet cover. However, she was friendly and still could answer any questions, so it was fine. What’s worse is I thought there was earthquake every time any cars crossing the bridge. The whole building would shake！！That was super terrible. The room was also cold in the midnight cuz the wind would blow in from the corner of the building. I really didn’t get why other people could sleep well and this hostel can have 4.6 stars.

- Mucho muchísimo ruido por las noches imposible dormir, reuniones música charlas toda la noche, el personal del hotel inexistente. Los baños en la última planta te paseas por todo el hotel con las cosas de duchas. Los baños en cada planta pequeños.
- I would have given it a 4/5 if I didn’t get my wallet stolen while I was sleeping. The 16 people mixed dorm is not safe and staff told me that it is safe here, but it is not. Watch your wallet and belong, and travel safe. Went to police station the day afterwards and nothing can be done. Lost all my cash in wallet and credit card.
+ The location is really nice, as it’s right in the center. It’s a 35 min walk from the train station but you of course can take public transport. It’s surrounded by beautiful buildings and very close to attractions.
- The hostel charged 3€ for a towel when most hostels are now providing them or charging a fraction of the price. You have to make your own bed which isn’t uncommon yet still annoying. There’s no AC though Ghent gets hot. It was 90 degrees when I stayed there and very uncomfortable. The bathroom didn’t have hand soap the entire time I was there. The cleanliness of the bathrooms was ok but not amazing. The rooms didn’t seem to have been cleaned. Super dusty. I got locked out of my room at 4am when I left to use the bathroom and my key just wouldn’t work. I had to call someone from another building to fix my key. The key never got fixed so I had to be physically let into my room and couldn’t leave again without having to wake someone up again until the morning so I just didn’t leave my room until I was leaving. The rooms are loud since they’re in the center and the window had to be left open due to the heat. Luggage storage is also available but you have to pay for it. This is my first time staying in a hostel where they didn’t hold it for free until check in. Some staff were very nice while others.. not so much. All in all, would not stay here ever again. Look elsewhere.

地理位置真的很绝！景色正对着教堂，唯一的缺点就是火车经过桥的时候，能感受到震动感哈哈哈🤣夜景真的很像哈利波特里的氛围，开门的方式也很有科技感，工作人员服务态度很好👍，说这里充满了magic
Неожиданно, но очень удачно получилось остаться одну ночь в этом здании, которому минимум 400 лет и находится хостел в шаговой доступности ко всем достопримечательностям Гента. Вид из окна номера просто неотразим

Magnifique
Excelentes hosts, una de ellas habla español, el servicio es muy bueno, pero como muchos hoteles/hostales en Europa este no tiene elevador y las escaleras son demasiado inclinadas. Baños mixtos, hay lockers de cobro muy accesibles y de buen espacio por si después de hacer checkout quieres seguir recorriendo la ciudad sin maletas. Excelente ubicación si viajas ligero.
