Worst experience ever! Watch out for bed bugs!!
Checkin was at 6pm, never seen such a thing. I didn’t check the time first assuming it couldn’t be later than 3pm. I had to sleep in my car since I had a short night to come to Portugal. Also the day receptionist was not helpful at all, when asked for activities to do she just pointed the board with printed names of random places and then said you can go to the tourist office. We come to hostel to talk to humans who know the place, otherwise we have internet. You can feel that lady didn’t ...
Die Unterkunft hat sehr muffig gerochen und es war alles so ein bisschen klamm. Es war zwar kein Schimmel zu sehen, aber wegen dem Geruch, hatte man schon das Gefühl, dass es irgendwo Schimmel gab, den man nicht sehen konnte (hinterm Schrank oder übermalt vielleicht) Lage war aber perfekt und es gibt auch einen Night Guard und die Gemeinschaftsräume sind schön. Leider gab es aber nur eine Mikrowelle und einen Wasserkocher, also fürs Abendessen muss man essen gehen.
The accommodation smelled very muffed and everything was a bit sticky. Although there was no mold to be seen, but because of the smell, you already had the feeling that there was mold somewhere that you couldn't see (behind the closet or overpainted maybe) but the location was perfect and there is also a Night Guard and the common areas are beautiful.
The location itself is not so bad at all but it is far from everything. Beds were really uncomfortable, only two plugs for the whole room and the smell was awful. Shower facilities were okay and the breakfast is free (it’s not good but at least you had something to eat).
Very late check in of 6pm (and no option to make it earlier) and you do really need a car to be able to reach a lot of the best hiking spots! Nearest restaurants are 15 mins walk, there are no options for food at the hotel apart from out of a vending machine so bring food if you don't want to go out for lunch and dinner. Carry cash as the closest restaurant is cash only although there is an ATM about 15 mins from the hotel. Views are great, room is clean and spacious but there is no air con.
This hostel has great value. Unfortunately our room was not very clean, and my bedsheets had a small stain.

No kitchen or laundry, considering it’s a mountain town and you’re bound to be hungry and dirty after a hike it’s disappointing. Nice facility otherwise
Nearby restaurants, magnificent location. Friendly and helpful staff . Beautiful room and community room. Very good breakfast.
Location was fantastic and price was great! The front desk staff was very helpful as well. The only problem we encountered was the bus to/from Campo de Gerês. It was difficult to find the information on your own before arriving at the hostel. On our arrival, the front desk staff helped us!

Best hostel I have ever stayed at. Clean, comfortable, nice. Breakfast was amazing. Sitting near fireplace and drinking free tea I got provided with was a bless.

Nice hostel, clean and in lovely green location. Very spacious. Staff is very kind.
Such a lovely stay. The rooms were clean, beds were comfy, showers were great. Breakfast was basic but great. For the price, I have absolutely no complaints. The common area is large and comfortable, I spent a rainy morning on the sofas. I would definitely hiring a car if coming here, but here's a village 10 mins walk away with a lovely authentic restaurant. I wish I could stay longer! Would definitely visit again. In such a quite area, the perfect base for you to ecploy
This is a very comfortable, clean and well set up hostel. Great value for your money. Hard to get to without a car as bus service is very limited. Otherwise I would recommend it!

Great location in the middle of fantastic nature!
