Increasing prices if you book in close dates, dirty rooms, got room in basment

De bedden waren vreselijk slecht. Je slaapt op een plank. De lockers zijn van metaal waardoor je bij alle mensen die gaan slapen of opstaan wakker wordt van het lawaai van lockers. De keuken had vrijwel geen faciliteiten. Verder wel schoon en aardige mensen.

Schmutz und Gestank in Zimmer und Gang. Zu teuer für das was es bietet.

We had a private room, with shared bathroom. The room was clean but basic with no shelves/drawers. There is a male shower room, a female one & a mixed one & the female only showers had nowhere to keep your things dry & you had to push the knob every 30 seconds for water. The mixed shower room was better, but had mildew & mold on the ceilings. The free breakfast was the best part. For >$200/night, I’d expect soap in the private room sink, & shampoo/conditioner/soap in showers. Wouldn’t stay a...

Staffs are helpful. But rooms and toilet were not very clean.

I stayed at the dormitory and it was more like a camp, not a hostel

Less than 5 minute walk from terminal bus & train station, which is good because it is a steep walk to city center. Small Coop nearby for groceries. No kitchen but they do have a microwave & kettle in the common area. The breakfast was AMAZING, best hostel breakfast I’ve ever had. I don’t know why the staff had to clean all the bathrooms at ~7:30 every morning, which is when everyone is getting up & needs it. For a hostel this expensive I wished for a lot more but it’s Switzerland!

Good value by Swiss standards. Setting spectacular and staff seemed really nice. Beds only comfy if you're not long out of prison and no toilet in bedroom a bit of a faff. Overall though a good experience and, unless I win the lottery in the meantime, I'd stay again

My stay at Eiger Lodge was great! I stayed in a 4-bed female dorm. The staff was very friendly, and the lodge was very updated! It was very foggy and cloudy in Grindelwald, so we reserved the sauna for two hours. The sauna was extremely relaxing and very clean/new! The breakfast was also amazing (lots of options and very fresh!!)! The lodge also provides a free bus ticket which makes traveling within Grindelwald super easy. It was a great experience, and I would highly recommend to stay here!

Loved this hostel so much we didn’t want to leave!! Rooms were so nice, staff were lovely and breakfast was great. I would 100% recommend, gorgeous views!

After staying at nearly 100 hostels worldwide, I can definitely say this hostel is the cleanest I have ever seen, and has some of the best quality facilities and breakfast I’ve encountered. Truly a wonderful place to be. Not to mention an excellent location.

Great value for the area. Grindelwald is beautifully and stay more than 2 nights so had the free bus in to the town centre. Staff were super kind. Even though we shared the area with a school trip i enjoyed my stay. Was a little confused on where to eat and make tea - you can do both upstairs and only need downstairs for the microwave.

This place was awesome. Very clean. Staff was helpful and great location if you’re going skiing five minute walk from the terminal and 10 min bus ride from town. Would definitely go again!!

Had a great stay great value for money with free breakfast of a morning and free coffee available all day. Great location right round corner from terminal so great point for buses/trams

So far my fave hostel that Ive stayed and probably the best. Room is huge, i love the comforter, bed and pillow 😂, love the breakfast, the location is the best, staff are amazing and very accommodating. I will definitely come back.

I absolutely loved it here. I stayed in a mixed dorm. The mattresses were comfy and I loved the duvet. Staff were so helpful and the breakfast delicious…. A perfect hostel in my opinion..

Best place to stay for the vacation! We had a great time here! This place is really great i felt really peaceful and the location you will mesmerise when u will see night view from the bar, near to that river and sunset on the mountains!you will see the different colours with the sound of ringing bels of the cow in swiss alps!

We four girls ordered a six-person room. It's really nice, everything looks tidy and professional (though still expensive compare with the airbnb in Luzern). The staffs are very helpful. In the room, only 3 wardrobes with keys, which makes me think of the situation when 6 strangers living together... The breakfast is really nice, I enjoy the fruit with yogurt. In Switzerland, everything is expensive, so the free breakfast is really helpful.

Incredible place to stay. Stunning views and has a good bar/restaurant right outside, along with a bus stop taking you into the main town. The gentleman who checked us in was so helpful and kind. The only thing I would suggest for guests is to bring a Swiss travel plug, as it wouldn’t accept our Europe adapters (from UK). However, I asked at the desk and they loaned me one free of charge. Excellent place, would definitely come back

Overall pretty good stay. Amazing view. Enjoyed grill bar.

Location is super convenient, and the staff is amazing. Peter at the bar is creative and awesome! Go have a drink and chat with him :)

I have left another review on Google.. So impressed with everything this hostel had to offer. The location is great - 3 min walk to Grindelwald Terminal, the facilities are great, the included breakfast was tasty and plenty of choice, the price is more than fair, the Mountain View’s were gorgeous and the friendly staff!
