Casali Hostel

If you are looking for a traditional hostel experience, do not go here. When I visited this place, I could only see school kids everywhere. It was super loud and dirty. Wouldn’t recommend :(

El personal muy agradable pero no te facilitaban cosas básicas como toalla y debía de utilizar una sabana como de tolla. La habitación olía muy mal y la cama era muy incómoda. Recomendable para 1-2 días.

I had a disappointing experience at this hostel. There was absolutely no atmosphere, and the lack of communal spaces made it difficult to meet other travelers. Breakfast was chaotic with not enough seating for everyone, and the food selection was very limited and unhealthy. The room and bathroom design seemed poorly thought out, and our door had to be slammed shut from the outside, which constantly disturbed others. The lockers were bent and incredibly noisy when forced open or shut. It was free...

El hostal está bien, la ubicación si que es cierto que está un poco alejada del centro, pero por el resto, el personal es muy muy amable :) Dispone de cocina compartida pero bien equipada, habitaciones amplias con taquillas y también en recepción cuentan con un pequeño armario para maletas grandes.

Very much like a hotel. No real group atmosphere, just basic necessities. The place was however clean and organized with a adequate kitchen

Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer waren okay. Es war sehr laut und die Betten aus Metall, sodass es bei jeder Bewegung sehr laut war. Die Küche war top. Die Bäder allerdings unschön, alt und heruntergekommen. Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt okay aber nicht länger.

Casali Hostel was a good stay. The staff were super kind and helpful with everything. The bedrooms were very spacious with big windows. The kitchen wasn’t the best but it was okay. The breakfast was also okay, but I think it’s a bit overrated — it didn’t have any options for gluten-free, lactose-intolerant, or sugar-free diets and in general it didn't have many options.

I Receptionist sono stati entrambi gentili, il ragazzo che ci ha accolto ci ha consigliato come muoverci ed è stato molto disponibile. Gli spazi sono puliti, le docce non male dai. Palazzo molto bello, la reception aperta 24/24 comodissima. La colazione va dalle 7.30 alle 9.30, sono andato lì alle 9.37 e non mi é stata concessa, e lì è mancato un po’ di cuore, comunque non è un difetto basta svegliarsi prima. In generale consigliato, buon ostello a un buon prezzo.

The staff at the front were very nice and the bathrooms are some of the cleanest I’ve seen. Note that there is no age limit and this is not a social hostel at all.

Great location. Feels more like a hotel with dorms than a hostel. Beds were good but do not include a socket (only a typical low voltage USB-A power port) which is quite annoying. Lockers were good for each bed. The toilet/shower is a really weird design and not good (one had a shower and toilet in the same cubicle with no curtain and the shower is like standing under lots of tipping buckets than a stream of water, so water went everywhere). Kitchen is very under-equipped and not very suitable.

Very nice, very clean hostel, especially toilets and showers were unusally clean. i want there for only one night out, of season so there weren't a lot of people but it was still a very good vibe

The dorms were spacious and clean. Relatively good location, especially for the train station. There are no social areas so it’s hard to meet anyone. Ok but I wouldn’t stay again

Beds were bolted and didn't creak much. No curtains or duvet covers though. Showers splashed water everywhere, and the push button only runs for 10 seconds. Same with the faucets, 3-4 seconds each, which got annoying. Only one shower per floor feels too few. That said, the stay was great, staff were friendly, and rooms were nice. Would recommend for a couple of nights, but maybe not a longer stay.

Quite stellar hostel not too far away from Trieste Centrale. Very comfortable and quiet environment.

Very nice and clean hostel in the city center, only about 7 minutes walk from the train station. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, the room itself was really cold in winter, but probably common for Trieste. For some reason there was heating in the hallway, but not in the room. It wouldn’t have been a problem if they provided warm blankets, but the blanket was really thin. Other than that all was good.

Nice location close to Train and Bus Station and near the city center. Bed and facilities are clean. 💯

Très bien situé. Personnel très sympathique et local à bagage sécurisé avant check-in/après check-out très utile! Dortoir spacieux, et bonne isolation lumineuse la nuit. Casiers et lits assez bruyants (structures en métal), pas très agréable dès que quelqu'un bouge. Douches et toilettes en dehors du dortoir, assez peu de place pour laisser ses affaires dans la douche. Cuisine assez succinte mais reste pratique.

The hostel felt more like a hotel than a hostel. However there was a decent kitchen and the dorms weren’t too bad, it’s a shame about the lockers being metal, they really are so loud! No social vibe at all when I was there. I barely saw anyone.

We loved staying there. Barely got out of there. Nice kitchen, nice rooms, alternative looking and amazing people

Hostel kann ich sehr weiter empfehlen! Die Lage ist gut und man kann sehr gut zu Fuß in die Innenstadt laufen! Die zimmer sind auch schön und man braucht kein Schloss zum absperren, da dort schon ein Schlüssel vorhanden ist und man hat genügend Stauraum! Es gibt nur leider keinen Vorhang an den Betten und es wäre vorteilhaft, wenn es Spiegel pro Zimmer geben würde, da es sich öfters im Bad gestaut hat.

Staff amazing. We had a health emergency and they were nothing but helpful, kind and thoughtful. Can not speak highly enough of the staff. Rooms were big, bunks large. Only downfall was kitchen under stocked with utensils and the bedroom lockers being metal (thus loud).
