+ This is close from Gora station

- This is a low quality hostel disguising itself as a Ryokan. I believe they have increased their prices a lot because I regret paying this much. The hostel: - Old and rusty, the futons are old and not very comfortable - You hear the neighbours snoring and the bar below - Ants in the sleeping rooms - Only one male toilet for the 10 rooms, was dirty in the morning. The onsen: - the main onsen must be booked. They offer 40 min slots to book it, but if you arrive past 9 am all the slots after 6pm are taken, so you'll have to cut your day. If you arrive last you'll probably miss it altogether. Giving 20 min slots would have been a better system. - there is a smaller onsen that guest can get first come first serve, but a lot of people keep it private to themselves for hours! Worse, you see someone from the staff that kept it private from 9pm to 11pm, leaving it, inviting otjer people from the staff. That's not how it is supposed to work. - The onsen is not really private, you share the same room with the other bath. It was very noisy, the other guests were playing and shouting. - Overall I think this was built for foreigners and expect foreigners behaviour, not being able to use the bath was really disappointing. The location: - Everything is closed down after 5pm so you'll probably have to eat at the hotel's bar, which has ok pizzas? - Hakone in 2025 suffers from overtourism like crazy. Expect 1h queue to get up the gondola, 1h to go down, 1 hours to get on a bus, 30 min to get the train up... - overall I believe the hostel raised up its price like crazy to follow with the overtourism trend. Yes, you can see Fuji in Hakone if it's a sunny day, but honestly, just go home in the evening, there is no point in staying for a night This was the most expensive place from my stay, I had much more comfort in a hostel in Tokyo that was 4x cheaper for example. Just don't read the reviews from the previous years and avoid it as well as Hakone.

- 1. El dormitorio olía fuertemente a Humedad. 2. Bastante polvo. Falta limpieza. 3. Terribles dolores de espalda durante los dos días. 4. El precio es carísimo para lo que ofrece. 5. Carece de servicio de habitaciones. Te haces la cama y te la recoges. No cambian las toallas. 6. El Agua del Onsen no salía.

- This was by far the worst accommodation that I stayed in, in my 7 months in Japan. Whoever photographed this property deserves a raise, as this property is not as described!! For all the women reading this, you may know the feeling when you walk into a space and you feel instantly on edge and unsafe. That is the exact feeling my friend and I felt. Firstly, the showers are mixed gender. They are located off to the side of the main area in one big room, with one entrance/exit and extremely low lighting. You can lock the shower from the inside, but the general vibe of the shower block is pretty dire. I was travelling with one other female traveller and we both felt unsafe with this option. The other option for showering is the onsen, which we were both very happy to use at the outset (I have used onsens many times before). I asked how often they are cleaned as they are privately booked, mixed gender onsens. The staff member told me it was once daily, although there is a constant flow of water, so apparently that means it's sanitary? 🤢 I have used private onsens before, but they were thoroughly cleaned between sessions for obvious reasons. The staff seemed nice until I raised the issue that the showers were mixed gender and this was previously not specified in the description (bookings.com have since requested this be added). After a lot of back and forth with the hostel, they agreed to refund one night given I wasn't happy to shower there (unclean + unsafe) or use the onsen. At the end of your stay, you are expected to strip your bed and put your sheets and towels in baskets downstairs. For a hostel as expensive as this one, I just think that's a bit rich! Out of the hostels I've stayed in, this one is the most expensive and the worst. Avoid at all costs! I know it's an expensive area, but my advice is to spend a little extra and get a private apartment in the area and pay to go to a reputable onsen.

+ O atendimento dos funcionários é perfeito! Super simpáticos e atenciosos.

- O valor é alto demais para o tipo de instalação e todo resto. O "colchão" de chão é fino demais, parece que estava dormindo no chão duro. Não há qualquer privacidade, pois a porta do quarto tem frestas/abertura, em cima e embaixo.

+ L'hostel se trouve à quelques minutes de la gare de Gora et du funiculaire qui mène au sommet d'Owakudani (vue sur le mont Fuji), il possède 2 onsen dans l'établissement. La chambre traditionnelle était assez spacieuse, avec une vue dégagée sur les montages.

- La chambre était très mal isolée, on entendait tous les passages (parquet qui grince), la porte de la chambre n'aidant pas, étant donné qu'il y avait un trou en haut et en bas de la porte, la chambre était donc semi-ouverte vers le couloir, bonjour l'intimité.. (sachant que c'est sensé être une chambre privée). Le futon n'était pas confortable, autant dormir à même le sol, et la chambre n'était pas tout à fait propre, poussière restante, tâches sur le tatami.. Les 2 onsens étaient communiquant, séparé par un demi-mur donc encore une fois pas d'intimité.

+ On a adoré cet établissement, le personnel est adorable, l’ambiance vraiment sympa, nous n’avons pas été dérangé par le bruit la nuit et n’avons pas entendu nos voisins comme le disent certains commentaires, la chambre est vraiment typique et le petit bar en bas et les onsen sont très agréables. Proche de la gare on y va à pieds et donc direct au téléphérique qui amène aux fumeroles.

- Rien, l’hôtel est un peu vieillissant mais c’est justement ce qui fait son charme :)
