The only positive aspect of this hostel is its location. Everything else was disappointing. You have to make your own bed, check-in is self-service even when reception is present, and the Wi-Fi system is unclear, requiring some unknown “club code” with no proper explanation. The environment is not well-managed — guests are noisy and do not respect quiet hours. Additionally, the in-room shower lights up whenever someone enters, which is very disruptive. Overall, the experience was awful

Unfortunately when we checked in, the beds were still not ready, however they let us in the room to leave our bags and promised the beds would be clean and tidy shortly after. We went out and when we returned at night, the beds were still not cleaned up. This was particularly problematic because it was around 11 pm and some people were asleep already in the other beds. They shortly staffed that day because the reception was a bit slow. The pancake machine was out of service too.

This is the worst hostel I have ever seen. Cleanleness 0/10. They don't clean the rooms till someone asks to, and since it's a hostel no once cares to report and rooms never get cleaned. No AC systems so imagine 8 in a uncleaned dirty room and no air conditioning you will dind difficulty breathing. I was deceived by the rating it has but honestly can't be worse. only adv. stuff are really nice and helpfull.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Bedding was stained, the mattress was dusty, there was damage to the walls and doors, the under-bed lockers were cages that could be reached into, the bedside USB sockets didn’t work, no atmosphere, all in all a miserable stay, for the exorbitant price of nearly €100 for two nights.

Bedbugs... The staff were super helpful and sympathetic in dealing with the consequences. Could happen to any hostel these days, but a&o were not willing to refund even part of my stay. Was also severely overpriced. Avoid!

An sich echt gut, jedoch sind die Preise sehr teuer für ein Hostel (230€ Gemeinschaftszimmer mit 6 Leuten für 3 Nächte) sowie auch die Metallboxen- wo man seine Sachen rein lagern kann und mit einem Schloss “absichern kann”-nicht geschickt. Zum einen kann man mit der Hand die Sachen einfach rausholen trotz Schloss an der Kiste. Zudem erzeugen die Boxen durchs öffnen oder anstoßen Lärm was in einem gemeinschaftlichen Zimmer nicht so förderlich ist. Trotz allem, nicht schlecht c:

Staff were unbelievable rude and inhospitable . I was verbally abused by the night manager . I didn't feel safe staying there so I asked for a refund to which I received a pretty scary response in being screamed and called the police on to remove me . I wasn't threatening , I felt threatened . Can I please have a refund for my stay which wasn't fulfilled . 37465-571255029 is my booking reference .

Absolutely terrible. Quite noisy with stinky corridors. Worst of all I had bed bugs in my bed so I couldn’t sleep at all and left covered in bites. Reception staff was friendly but that did not help much at that point…

No fans or AC available, which lead to the temperature in the room being over 30 degrees during the night. We were also not able to charge our phones.

Very poor experience at this hostel. Check in policy is incorrect on their listing, meaning I had two people check in at 1am and 3am so don't expect good night's sleep. Security it pointless, boxes underneath bed have a massive gap you can literally reach in and take stuff out. Doors slam. Staff unhelpful. Plenty of other options in Köln for better value and less hassle.

I only stayed for one night, and overall it was fine. I wouldn’t say great. The hostel seemed overbooked and the four bed dorm that I booked seemed more like a four bed private room used as a dorm. Two of the beds were pushed together as a double which felt very uncomfortable to me. I felt like it was rather expensive for that it was.

the location is okay but not great. pretty far to city center along a busy atreet. staff are nice. the lockers are big and neither of my locks fit.

The room was okay but the beds were very squeaky which meant it was hard to get a good nights sleep. The hostel is also a good 30 minute walk from the centre so it isnt close either. The room generally felt a bit dirty as well. It was okay and did the job but definitely not the best.

tried the self check in service and was directed to reception since i booked an all female dorm. the receptionist was rude that he had to interact with us, as if it wasn’t prompted for us to do so; also, it’s legit your job? got to our rooms & the beds hadn’t been turned so we had to ask for them to be turned before we could make our beds. cleanliness wasn’t great at all either. i wouldn’t return.

Overall very solid. Silly to add, but the top bunk layout is really bad, hit my head getting in because ladder has top metal part for some reason??

very dusty in the room and seemed not to be cleaned after last person left. felt dirty and even was visible dirt. very friendly staff!

Overall seemed like a lovely hostel. Was only there for one night so couldn’t get a very good feel for the place. Staff were nice and facilities were good. Lockers wise they had roll out cage things for underneath the bed. They were okay, you could padlock them but they had a lot of gaps where hands could easily fit through. We also just got a bad luck of the draw and ended up in a 8 person dorm with only two other people who weren’t that inconsiderate of others (not the hostels fault though...

Excellent staff. Really appreciated the professional and friendly male staff on the front desk. Excellent. Wish I'd taken their names. But genuinely they had a positive impact on my stay.

I couldn't access the pullout locker under the bed as there was a pillar in the way. The only room I could move to was a room with more people but they wouldn't refund me for the difference. The locker needed a massive padlock which a light traveller wouldn't have. I had to ask the reception for a special keycard every time I wanted to use the kitchen or washing machines as they said they wanted to control who goes in there. Kitchen had no cupboards. Had to download an app to wash clothes.

Grosses, gutes Hostel mit allem was man braucht. Würde nochmal buchen.

10/10, super convenient, the staff was so so nice, room were really big and clean, would def go back!!

Ich hatte eine allergische Reaktion auf das Bettlaken im Gesicht (alles schwoll an). Die Menschen waren sehr sehr nett! Metallboxen für seine Sachen sind viel zu laut! Ansonsten gibt es tolle dunkle Vorgänge! Die Lage ist mehr als genial.

You must bring a lock for your cage beneath the bed. Kitchen was filthy. There was no cutlery. Music from the bar is too loud in the laundry and kitchen area. Late at night (4.30 am) people returning from clubs are permitted to be loud, shouting in the corridors. I hope these can be corrected because it is a great place to stay with lovely staff and good facilities.

The location was good but I slept terribly due to a chorus of snoring. The dorm doors slam shut which is a big design flaw. At 1am one of the guys in my dorm in confusion tried to climb into my bed.

Really good hostel, staff are really nice and here for you. I had a problem and they resolved it immediatly. It can be kinda noisy in the corridors but at 10pm everyone respected the fact that you need to be silent. Private showers and toilets in the dormitory is such a plus !

It’s really clean hostel i really like the facilities but it is not meant for solo travelers looking to meet other travelers or people who want to sleep and rest, it gets really noisy at night and early in the morning. I had an incident as someone slept in my bunk after i left for 2 hours but when i reported they immediately moved me to another room.
