+ Dichtbij tempel complex
- Bedden waren hard en het was gehorig.
+ 宿に泊まってる外国人達と話せた 無料のコーヒーや紅茶がある
- 2階には手洗いの場所も無い トイレやシャワールームが男女共有で、1階に一つずつしか無い 市電で行くのは大変すぎた。
Overall a small and cozy hostel to spend 1-2 nights. I visited in May where it was relatively empty, therefore also less social. The staff was always helpful, people were nice and respectful. Only downside I found was the mattresses that were quite uncomfortable.

+ Las sábanas y las toallas estaban limpias, y la cocina es muy grande, así como la zona común. Al llegar nos dieron un mapa de la zona, cosa que me pareció muy agradable.
- Solo hay una ducha y un baño en todo el hostal, y la disposición de las camas hacia que el acceso a mi cama fuera pequeño e incómodo. Además, las indicaciones que nos dieron al llegar me parecieron insuficientes. El hecho de que el personal no estuviera hasta la tarde lo hacía todo más solitario.
+ スタッフが落ち着いた静かな人で、若者にはもしかしたら物足りなさがあるかもしれないけど、僕にはすごく良かった。
- 二階の一人部屋と他のドミトリーとかの部屋の天井は繋がっているので、会話とかは丸聞こえで、ドミトリーの人のアラームで起きた。エアコンもそれぞれの部屋にあるわけでは無いので、寒くても温度調整はできない。

+ 宿泊客が少なかったお陰で、とても静かに就寝できた
- トイレ、洗面台、シャワーが１つずつしかないので、客か多いときは困るなと思った 壁が天井まで無く、隣の部屋と上は繋がっているので、いびきとかカーテン開けしめの音も聞こえる

+ Wir hatten einen entspannten Aufenthalt im Dot Hostel. Die Lage ist super, um Nagano zu besichtigen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

+ A lovely old home in a nice little town. I only stayed a few nights at Dot but was very pleased with my time there. (It snowed just enough to make it extra fun!) The house is beautiful if you appreciate old architecture. It's up near a shrine with little stores and snack places so a good place to wonder about. Surprisingly warm with just a few heaters scattered all over. You are given a towel for the shower which is nice. Only one washer and no dryer so keep that in mind for winter times. The staff was friendly and offered local recommendations. (Deff go up the street to the hand made soba place and the brewery down a few blocks!) Despite the walls being thin and having open rafters, I didn't feel it was all too noisy; the only thing would be is the rooms are actually very quiet so you may hear every movement and sniffle form your dorm-mates but nothing unbearable. Beds were very comfy and especially that big comforter. WiFi was god but could be weak in your bunk. Only one bathroom and shower but didn't have to fight others to use it. Plenty of hot water. Kitchen was well stocked with cups, plates, silverware, etc. There was a little burner, microwave and a kettle. Common room had good space for hang out and a big book selection to thumb through. Pretty simple to get to and around town by the local buses. I would love to stay there again when I get the chance!
- No much honestly, but yes the stairs are very steep so will be difficult for those with mobility issues! But rather fun once you got used to them.

- As with any hostel, noise levels depend on the other guests staying with you.
+ The hostel is very close to Nagano’s main attraction, the Zenkoji Temple. It’s small, but cute and comfortable. The beds especially are very spacious.
- The owner was a bit cold.
+ Enjoyed it all - a good old-style hostel with excellent kitchen facilities, an attractive communal area, a nice hot shower and a friendly host. Luggage storage available prior to check-in and post check-out. Fantastic location - 1.7km from railway station / 100m from temple. Room was big enough with working sockets and a comfortable bed enabling a good nights sleep.

Had a great time! The location was really convenient, walking distance from the bigger Nagano station and right next to Zenkoji Temple. The hostel itself was super clean and cozy and was a great place to come back to at night since Nagano was so cold!
