The common areas were incredible dirty…and we got bit in our bed and there was no AC
Quite expensive for what it offers in terms of facilities and atmosphere, and the location is not good.
We chose this hostel because it was full in the city center, but it was very easy to get there by bus. We loved the host, he was really helpful with tips and always available is we needed anything. Great stay!
Ljubljana is a small place and all the bars etc are in the centre. This hostel is so far out so if you want to go out in Ljubljana be prepared to get a 25 minute bus home. I would recommend staying somewhere more central.
Pretty dirty hostel with no atmosphere. I dont think that the bathrooms have been cleaned during the two nights we have spent there - trash bins have not been emptied. Bed sheets had stains. Staff was very friendly, security is very good, location is good, if you dont mind walking 30 min or taking a bus into the city.
+ Owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. +/- Hostel is 3km from the city centre, which is good if you don't like a noisy environment. Bus station is close enough. - The beds are very creaky/noisy - Not the place to be if you want to make friends due to the fragmented and small social spaces
The staff is absolutely lovely and super helpful and the rooms are fine as well. Unfortunately, the bathrooms are in desperate need of renovation and it's quite far away from all places you'll likely want to visit as a tourist
Overall a good hostel even though the room and the bathrooms were a bit small. There’s not a real common room and the kitchen only fits one person cooking so that is a bit annoying. However, the staff was really great ! Very helpful and kind to everyone so that’s a plus.
This hostel is good if you already know people but it’s hard to socialize as the common areas are dead and there are no activities. It’s not for relaxing because the beds are extremely noisy and the kitchen is right next to the rooms so you hear everything. The staff was really nice and helpful, they were the best part. It’s not a bad hostel but I wouldn’t come back.
Good hostel, great staff and felt very safe. Bed was a bit uncomfortable and there was a horrible stench that lingered because of a room mate. The showers weren’t great but clean and everyone was really nice who I spoke to that stayed.

Great Hostel, the owner Tim is a great guy as well! Enjoyed my stay here very much. Location is not in the city centre, but very close to Tivoli and close to the centre.
Lovely hostel and the owner is so kind and helpful! Location is a bit further from the city center, but the bus system is super easy to figure out. There is a grocery very close and you can easily walk as well. I felt very safe. Friendly people in hostel, not super intense party place but comfy and clean place to sleep and hang out!
Amazing hostel! Tim the owner was an absolute legend and was happy to help out in every way he could. Gave great recommendations and made the stay a 10/10
The hostel owner Tim is the absolute best. Very helpful in giving you recommendations and helping you out throughout the stay!
The Aladin’s a well run hostel and the staff are friendly and very helpful. The bathrooms are kept clean and there’s a small but adequate kitchen. The hostel’s not within walking distance from the old part of town, but it’s easily reached by bus. Conveniently, there’s a supermarket and a nice coffee cafe just a few steps away from The Aladin.
Owner was friendly but spoke so quickly telling us where things were in the area so it felt a bit rushed. The rooms are super outdated and the beds outrageously creaky so you’re awoken tons throughout the night as everyone is tossing. My hip hurt from sleeping on my side from how thin the mattress was. The AC was super nice in a hot night. Kitchen area was super tight and the common space also felt pretty congested. Far from the city but super close to the bus which was easy to navigate.
Very happy with this hostel. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. There is a 24/7 bakery, big supermarket, coffee shops etc all really close by, however it’s a bit of a walk to the main centre. But there is a local bus about a street away or there’s e-scooters or e-bikes close by too. The owner Tim is a really nice person and very down to earth. Overall, would definitely come back 🙌
It’s the little things!! Towel included with stay, lockers in the room with the same key as to get into the room, air conditioning, nice blankets and pillows! Will stay here again!
We loved this hostel. Always clean, with plenty of bathrooms and showers. The owners were very helpful with bus and taxi transportations, and we really appreciated their sightseeing recommendations. I've stayed in many hostels, and this is hands down one of my favourites!
Staff vraiment gentil et attentionné! Bien équipée, mais salle commune un peu petite et sans divan. Propre, mais drain de douche bouché, ça paraît que certains trucs sont plus vieux et usés, mais en général bon rapport qualité-prix.
such a nice vibe
Leuk en klein schalig, super ontvangen door Tim. Komt met goede en waardevolle tips. Mogelijk om je auto te parkeren is erg fijn.
the staff are very nice and helpful, bathrooms are clean, kitchen and refrigerator were clean! the room is not very spacious but it is clean, smells good, and decent for the price.
Staff are so helpful! We lost a passport and the staff helped us so much and were really kind, as well as giving us recommendations for ljubljana and bled.
Great stay fantastic host
Huge thanks to everyone at Aladin Hostel for providing a great atmosphere and being more helpful than I could imagine. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay at Aladin for their trip to Ljubljana.
good hostel. good to meet other travellers. good social areas. and ljubljana is a nice city to hang out of course:)

Great hostel, Awesome staff and owner. Rooms are a little small but other than that this place was a good stop. Located in a quite area as well.
