There are only 4 showers for the hostel, which is also joined with the 4 toilets, meaning there’s constant queuing. Showers are gross and clog so the water floods in the whole toilet room. I saw in the comments Alplodge replied LAST YEAR that they’d be renovating this, but that didn’t happen. It’s also a weird mix of people because it’s Switzerland and it’s expensive - I got to stay with a mother and son who clearly did not know how to behave in a hostel environment - were selfish an...

Didn’t see a human staff member, stuffed 4 beds into a room small enough to cramp one person, and it cost 50 euros a night. This place is capitalisms essence, honestly just skip interlaken. Switzerland has better to offer, but at least I took as much free pens from the desk as I could I recommend u do the same 🫶

There were bed bugs in Beds of Rooms I have hot marks around my back and legs. Ask Alplodge to do Pest control in every 2 months as everyone from our ur trip got bitten by bed bedbugs.

La pire auberge où j'ai dormi, j'étais avec des filles qui se levaient à 6h du matin et se préparaient dans la chambre pendant 2 heures, sèche cheveux, vernis maquillage etc en ouvrant les lumières et la fenêtre comme si elles étaient toutes seules. Le personnel n'a rien fait pour leur expliquer les règles de respect quand on est en dortoir. De plus personne ne lave la cuisine après avoir fait à manger, c'est toujours sale... A fuir

This place is old with significant signs of aging and wear and tear. Room was small, with paper thin walls and stifling at night while sleeping because there is no air circulation. Never saw any hotel staff, check in is automated. Luckily we were only there about 14 hours in total to sleep and prepare for next destination. Location was decent. Travelling with spouse and two preteen kids.

Extremely bad service by all encountered staff at Alplodge. All staff gave me attitude for some of the basic questions like where’s the storage space, and another didn’t let me leave my bag in storage. Our door didn’t lock, so we slept through the night with the door slightly opened. There was also only 4 bathrooms for 2 floors, not enough bathrooms. There’s no atmosphere, just a bar downstairs that serves alcohol nothing else happening at the hostel. Would not recommend.

Pretty average overall. Was amazed at the lack of service.

It was very accomdating. Definitely not a place to hangout durinduring your evenings, but if you're looking for a central location for hiking or exploring around, it would be perfect!

le falta cortinas de privacidad a las camas al igual que conectores, solo hay uno de usb por cama, las literas rechinan todo el tiempo al igual que los pisos. los baños se encuentran en el segundo piso y solo hay 4 entonces tienes que dar vueltas de ahí al cuarto. las vistas son preciosas y tiene una terraza muy cómoda.

Amazing place! No faults at all, great view, comfy bed and clean.

Location was good. Didn’t meet any of the staff. Only 2 showers for the people in the hostel. No air conditioning, fortunately it wasn’t too hot on the days I went. Not social at all.

Great location. Lovely terrace. Bathrooms weren’t the cleanest. Often floors flooded. Lack of back mats. Tired looking, mould on ceilings. Bedrooms - beds so squeaky with every movement. Also very tired and basic but did the job. Staff were nice Kitchen basic. Nice communal area

Great location with a nice roof terrace. Simple but clean facilities. Good value for money (compared to Swiss prices in general) Socially it was limited but people in the living room were generally quite chatty. Biggest flaw was that the kitchen was really poorly equipped.

Très jolie rooftop et salle commune! Très bien placé également en plein centre proche de la gare interlaken West ce qui est pratique. Un enfer pour se garer donc éviter la voiture ++++ à interlaken en general

Très bon emplacement, grande cuisine avec tous les outils nécessaires, balcon sur au dernier étage avec une belle vue, pas de toilette dans les dortoirs et les toilettes ne sont pas nombreuses. Je recommande!

Propert was well maintained, in a good location, and had amazing amenities! The terrace on the 4th floor provided scenic views of the nearby mountains, and the attached kitchen was clean and useful for preparing meals. The 4th floor was always abuzz with people enjoying drinks and meals. My room was facing the river which lulled me to sleep, by far the best hostel I’ve stayed in backpacking for about a month. Can’t recommend Interlaken more and can’t wait to stay here again! 10/10

Outstanding

Beds were super loud and squeaky which made it hard to sleep. Location was very nice

The room was clean and decent. It was a very peaceful stay. I missed hostel activities and interaction with other hostelers.

A beautiful place to be sure! Ik Switzerland is known for being expensive, so I won’t hold it against them too much but it’s not anything special just cuz you’re spending double what you would in neighboring countries. The view from my room was amazing, but not every room had that view, and my roomies were mainly friendly but cuz it’s a hotel, there are a lot of families and rowdy teens staying there so it was a bit loud, but they had nice showers!

habitaciones demasiado pequeñas para solo 4 personas casi imposible moverse. las camas suenan mucho, un pequeño movimiento y despierta a todos. La cocina no tenia ni siquiera aceite comunitario. los sartenes en mal estado y falta de otros eñementos para que la cocina fuese mas cómoda para cocinar. Solo la unicaciom fue lo mas destacado de este hostal.

Except having some smelly residence cooking in the kitchen, it is good

This hostel was amazing as a young, solo traveler in Interlaken. I felt like I had the privacy that was needed while also being in a very warm and friendly environment, where I was able to meet a number of other young travelers to share my experiences with. I would stay again in a heartbeat as it’s location and amenities were amazing
