Do not book here! we payed our deposit and arrived after an overnight bus, the lady who owns it wanted us to pay double the amount that was agreed in the booking because she said the hostel world system isn’t set up right. Very poor. She wouldn’t even give us our deposit money back because apparently hostel world had it … We left and found accommodation elsewhere . Very unhappy with our experience

They try to scam you! We booked a privat room on hostelworld as a couple. But when we arrived there, we were told that we have to pay double the amount. The lady at the counter told us that there is a false offer on hostelworld and that we have to pay double, thereby neglecting the confirmational mail (legally a contract) stating the price/type of room we ordered on hostelworld. We heard from other travelers that she did the same with them. Yet, the same „false“ offer is as well on booking.c...

My only complaint is thsy all the rates shown online are deposite rates. So when we got there they said we needed to pay 2.5x what the deposit was for our stay. Other than that it was a good stay.

Hostel was okay for one night before leaving to the jungle. The beds are ok and the whole facility looks very nice. Also staff is very friendly and you can rent bikes. Nevertheless the kitchen cannot really be used as it is missing out on equipment. Also the pool seemed not that clean when we were there.

Cécilia la dueña es muy amable y todo el personal tambien. Son todos muy flexibles y atentos. A dos 4 de la plaza de armas si estas de pasaje por Puerto Maldonado te consejo El Fauno para tu estancia, tmb El desayuno esta incluido. El único desventaja es que se tiene que pagar en efectivo.

Aquí nos recibieron de una manera cálida y tranquila. Qué lugar tan surrealista: estéticamente rico y funcionalmente bien planificado, se podría decir que es un museo en forma de albergue, dadas todas las piezas de arte visibles. Así que José y Cecilia han sido increíbles durante toda la orientación, también se han hecho amigos en el intercambio sincero de historias, pensamientos y proyectos. Aquí nos recibieron de una manera cálida y tranquila. Qué lugar tan surrealista: estéticamente rico y funcionalmente bien planificado, se podría decir que es un museo en forma de albergue, dadas todas las piezas de arte visibles.
