- Everything. From the start - location- area surrounded by homeless and your view from the window most likely will be rubbish and abandoned supermarket trolleys. This place looks dodge, nasty smell will numb you from the first steps in. Absolutely terrible! Smeared cheers, rubbish around. Dirty sheets, weak wifi ( no wifi in the rooms ) No lift- so get ready to carry your stuff for up to forth floor. Fire hazard with extention cables in the beds. Rooms are dirty, filthy and looks like only clean up ones in a while. You also need to rent a set of dishes ( never saw something like that before) - set also comes dirty as well. I could stay there longer than 4 hours. Asked for refund, left to another place first thing in the morning.

- The rooms are totally different to the pictures shown on the website. The rooms are so disgusting and stinky. Not at all hygiene. After I inspected the room I nearly through up and I told to the staff that I’m gonna cancel. The staff are nice and they told me I’m gonna get a refund. But I haven’t got any refund.

- The cleanliness, broken equipment, screws falling out of beds. Mould in the toilet and shower.

- you gotta pay to have cutlery. They don’t vacuum room, it smells like bleach so strong.

+ Everything was good: spacious, comfortable rooms, good kitchen and dining room, decent if basic breakfast, all for a fair price.

- Nothing.

+ Wouldn’t say there was anything we particularly liked.. it was all passable. One younger lady on reception went the extra mile when trying to find coffee for our room, which was a highlight.

- The atmosphere of the hostel just feels flat, almost everybody are on their phones or got headphones in. Not saying this is necessarily the hostels fault, it just doesn’t offer the most friendly experiences we’ve had. Maybe they could introduce activities so it doesn’t feel so daunting for solo travellers. We had also put out a cleaning sign for our room (doing so only once in the week that we stayed) and only the rubbish was taken and nothing else done. Which again, wasn’t the end of the world, but why offer it if it isn’t correct? We had a view of the pool, which at night we could see quite a few rats scurrying around the overflowing bins… Air conditioning was noisy to begin with, but that eventually drowned out the outside noise as the door to the balcony had a huge gap.

- The cabinets in the room were noisy, disturbing those who were sleeping. The point of some spring on my mattress was puncturing it.

+ Location was great. Close to east Perth terminal and the Brisbane Inn.

- Our room was above the pool. It was a bit noisy. However, all the curfews were adhered to (and it is a back packers after all).
