Caravan Hostel DC

L’hôtel est situé dans une rue pas très sûre avec de nombreux sans abris qui accostent les gens avec insistance. Le ménage est fais qu’une fois dans la semaine ,sinon pas de ménage. La chambre 410 est sans fenêtre l’air ne circule pas cela m’a rendu malade . Le personnel est vraiment très très désagréable ,impoli .De plus les horaires de l’accueil ne sont pas respectées. Points positifs : station métro à 20minutes à pieds , cuisine bien équipée ,laverie gratuite .

The shower was awful. Not pressure at all. Like in jail.

Fantastic hostel, one or the best I've seen. The kitchen even has sharp knives! But it has triple-decker bunks, which I think are unsafe and should be banned. It's not obvious from the listing that they are triple-decker bunks. I would not have stayed here if I had known, and likely will not stay again. That said, it is the best implementation of triple bunks that I've seen. Solid with enough head room. The ceiling is so high they could put in quad bunks!

Clean, comfortable, great location.

Located in the middle of a vibrant gay neighborhood with abundant nightlife. Long walk away from the historic attractions. The basement was cozy to hang out and eat. The noise level and odor in the rooms made it hard to sleep. Great atmosphere and friendly staff willing to help. Be ready with the code to the door upon arrival.

Overall this is a good hostel! My bed was comfortable, and the free toiletries provided were much appreciated. Also, it is very clean and it was great to be given two lockers to myself. However, the kitchen/dining area isn't big enough for the amount of people wanting to use it, and the staff at the reception desk didn't seem particularly enthusiastic about being there. The hostel was clean and the people were nice. The facilities were easy to use and always available. Laundry service was free, you can use your own detergent or pay 50c for a pod from the vending machine. The beds were comfy, they were stacks of 3, and they did have curtains which was nice. The lockers in the rooms were large enough to hold a small suitcase and took pretty much any size of padlock. The 4 digit pin system worked really well because I wasn't stressing about forgetting a key card.

Clean comfy and great location. Atmosphere not really exists but maybe that’s the case in hostels in the US in general.

Water pressure is bad. Everything else is great. Lively neighborhood.

Perfect!!! Very modern and clean, we felt at home right away!! The common spaces are perfect! We met lot of nice people! It is a little bit far from the center of Washington but the street is very dynamic to hang out, eat in some restaurants! Thanks you! I recommand it very very much!!

Surprising experience overall,other reviews spoke for themselves but I will definitely add to the positive ones all round. A hostel in the US are far and few between so this worked out perfect for my short stay in DC accessible by local train /bus it was very easy to get to the hostel. Plenty on offer in the area with restaurants and bars. Nice touch with the complimentary toiletries. Would highly recommend if in the area, big shout out to the staff also Naz/Nas and Ingrid , really helpful!

I was only here for one night, but it was a fantastic stay. A bit far away but definitely worth it. It has all the amenities you need and has a bunch of good places to eat nearby. Would highly recommend.

Otimo hostel, voltaria com certeza! Localização interessante, apesar de levemente distante dos principais pontos turísticos, está localizado em um bairro vivo e jovem, o que faz toda a diferença! Quanto a limpeza, 90% do hostel é limpo e bem cuidado, a área comum no subsolo precisa ser feita uma limpeza. Uma sugestão é de colocar ganchos na porta dos banheiros com privada! Very clean Hostel. The staff and guests were friendly. I wish there was more opportunities to socialize, mabye bigger common space. The location is good for partying, but not so good if you want to go out and explore DC. I spent a lot of time taking the bus and metro to get to sites around the city. I had a great experience but I would probably try to find another location closer to the national mall for my next stay.

I usually travel solo and was surprised by how not-social this hostel is! However, the location makes up for it, so you definitely do end up enjoying yourself. I just wished there were more events or groups organized by the hostel to promote community. Very clean, felt extremely safe. Overall happy with my stay

Great first experience in a hostel!

Loved it hereeee. Met a bunch of friendly people from all around the world. Lots of fridge space, nice bathrooms, and the electronic door locks felt super safe! The freebies were appreciated, and you can control the AC unit in your room!! It's close to the bus stop and sandwiched between two gay bars in Adams Morgan, so all around a good time. Can be a little loud on Saturday nights though because of the bars. Would absolutely come again.
