Really good hostel, near both the beach and the city center, clean all the time and the guy in the reception Demarsh is fantastic, super nice, friendly and gentle; Totally advised place in Weligama

Its what you pay for. Just really hot and loud!

Yes it’s super hot & loud, but it’s what you pay for! Cheapest place in town, but it’s right on the beach, it’s clean, the staff are kind and that’s all you can ask for! Would highly recommend you go to the Thursday night buffet dinner that the hostel created, the most delicious food and so much love put into it 🤍

Staff were nice and v good value, but you defo get what you pay for. The 10 bed dorm had 5 small fans and was on a busy road, so the room was extremely hot, noisy and smelly. If you’re travelling on a tight budget it’s fine, but if you have a few pounds to spare I’m not sure I would recommend. But totally fine for just one night!

I had an amazing time at Beach Break! The staff is super friendly and nice, makes you feel like home soon after you arrive. Showers were always clean, the bed was comfortable, there were mosquito nets, but keep in mind that the rooms can be quite loud in the early morning from the cars on the street if that can be a problem for you The rooftop is very cute organized and a good place to hangout. They also have activities there every few nights

Personal war nett und die Lage perfekt gelegen direkt am Strand. es gibt jeden Tag einen anderen Programmpunkt des Hostel wie zb. einen Kochkurs oder eine Rooftopparty.

I had a great stay at this hostel. The atmosphere was warm and positive, and all the volunteers were kind, helpful, and welcoming. The Turkish owner was very professional, friendly, and attentive, clearly caring about both the guests and the quality of the place. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well organized, with excellent air conditioning. I truly felt at home here. Thanks to the whole team — I would definitely stay again and highly recommend this hostel!

This hostel exceeded my expectations by far, especially for the price. The bathrooms were extremely clean – honestly some of the cleanest I’ve seen in a hostel. Everything is kept spotless from morning until night. There is a really nice terrace with a party night on Mondays, and you can even go up to the rooftop where the sun shines nicely and you get a great view. The rooms have plenty of fans, which is a huge plus. All staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Best value for the price

Heel aardig personeel en goeie locatie, maar alle deuren stonden open. Iedereen van de straat kon zo naar binnen. Voelde als een parkeergarage waar bedden in zijn gezet

Good Location! Not Much Atmosphere! Good Valve!

It’s value for money & budget friendly. Has a nice roof top terrace sit out area. Overall it’s a good place to stay if you are on budget. Monday’s are the party nights.

Nice hostel, located close to the beach. Many good restaurants close by and also the railway station and bus station is near. The staff is soo nice and helpful. I really liked the energy there. The rooftop terrace is cool, nice to chill or have some drinks. They even have a hammock! Also it’s nice they have a surf school and as a guest you get a discount and can use the sun beds for free. I only didn’t like the bathroom situation so much (sometimes smelly, no flush and weird shower curtains)...

Wir haben eine Nacht dort verbracht. Die Lockers konnten nicht geschlossen werden und es war in der Nacht sehr heiss da es keine AC (nur Ventilatoren) gab. Auch war bei unserem Check-in nicht klar ob wir ein Zimmer beziehen können da sie unsere Buchung nirgens gefunden haben.

pay for what you get. cheap and cheerful. Felt like there was so much empty space that couldve been used for something, dont go on a monday if you expect any sleep, loud party on roof. Expensive food and beer.

Great staff, nice people, but unlivable dorms! Heat (with no ac), noise from the street right below (buses and dogs), small beds, locks that don't work, ...

okay hostel for price, big rooms and door was always open so slightly unsafe plus no air con. however, good bar on roof, did the job for a few days
