Hostal La Chacarilla

- Not recommended, the guy at the reception scammed us. We are from Germany and didn’t have Bolivianos yet, only Euros we brought from Germany. The guy at the reception (I don’t know if it was the owner) told us it’s possible to pay in Euros as well, so we did. After check out we went to the bus to la Paz and the guy followed us from the hotel accusing us before we entered the bus to have used a false 50-Euro-Bill. He told us to talk to the police and that we can’t go to the bus if we don’t pay him the 50 euros. Since the bus was departing in a couple of minutes and we didn’t have much time to lose, we did so. Hope he‘s happy now, but this shouldn’t be the way a hotel treats his guests.

- Dans la chambre, il y avait une chaufferette au propane!!! Mais quelle inconscience! Les propriétaires n'ont pas conscience du risque d'intoxication et d'explosion liés à un tel équipement? Et la chambre puait le propane. J'ai sortis la chaufferette de la chambre et j'ai eu très froid durant mon séjour.

+ Das Hosten ist eigentlich ganz hübsch und man hat einen schönen Blick auf den Titicacasee. Aber es war sehr sehr kalt es wurde nichts zum wärmen zur Verfügung gestellt, kein Heizlüfter, kein Gas obwohl es einen Ofen gab. Warmes wasser gab es erst am letzten Tag als mehr Gäste im Hostel waren. Davor war es eisig kalt. Wirklich sehr unangenehm, abends war es draußen kalt und ohne Heizung leider auch sehr kalt im Zimmer + nur kaltes Wasser. Ich weiß nicht warum alle das Frühstück loben: Ein paar Scheiben toast, ein Klecks Marmelade und Butter, eine Art Müsli, eine Banane und zwei kleine Stücke Obst. Es ist wirklich in Ordnung. Aber weder außergewöhnlich noch üppig. Wäre die Wohnung warm wäre es ein toller Aufenthalt gewesen, das Hostel hat nämlich einen besonderen Charme. Aber so war es leider nur unangenehm.

- Escaso personal. Las camas son muy blanditas, los espaldares sueltos. Para que salga agua caliente debe o encenderse la toma 5 minutos antes e incluso salir a buscar donde se encuentre a alguien que ajuste algo que genere que te llegue agua caliente. Tienen calentadores con pipitas de gas adentro de la habitación que debes programar tu mismo con muchos riesgos. No te dan el tipo de cambio oficial si no pagas en dólares. No reciben tarjeta de crédito

- - we didn’t have hot water the entire time we were there (one night), according to the manager this was copacabana-wide but it would have been nice to have a heads up instead of having to ask him once we’d stood in a freezing shower twice - loud noises at night? Someone decided to move furniture at night underneath our room making loud, creepy banging noises. We messaged the manager and that made it stop but who needs to move furniture at 22:30??

+ Simplemente una joya escondida, llena de historia. La vista al lago es hermosa. Vale 110% quedarse en este hostal.

+ Schöne, alte Villa außerhalb des Zentrums mit windgeschütztem Garten/ Innenhof. Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig und hatte eine große Terrasse mit phantastischem Seeblick. Gutes Frühstück und ein sehr freundlicher Gastgeber. Hier kann man sich wohl fühlen, wenn man den antiken Charme eines alten Gebäudes mag.

+ Mario & his wife are very friendly and helpful. The location is good and the views from the balcony looking out on to the lake are stunning.

+ Goed bed en een hele dikke warme deken. Wij hadden een kamer met prachtig uitzicht over het meer. Mario is erg vriendelijk en denkt graag mee.

- De douche was soms erg koud, maar ook daarvoor kon je Mario gemakkelijk bereiken.

+ I liked everything! Old villa, very charming. You see people make an afford, so that you feel comfortable. Nice garden with a view on the lake. Cute, cozy room. Clean bed sheets and towels. Hot water (good shower), heater. Fruits for breakfast. No scamming with fake exchange rate. You can leave your luggage, if you go to Isla del Sol, and stay at the property after check out. I would charge more for such a place (:

+ Best breakfast we've had in a long time, and beautifully presented with a bonus log fire. It's a blast from the past with the interior decor but the beds were fabulously comfortable and warm, even when the room was cold at night. The garden is beautifully tended with lots of flowers and has a wonderful view over the bay. It's a simple type of accommodation but with a ton of charm and we loved it.

- A slog up the hill with luggage to get there but the view was worth it!

+ 우선 면 침구가 정말 깨끗. 풍성한 솜이불로 편안하게 잘 수 있었다. 청결하게 숙소는 관리되고 조식도 훌륭함. 조식 먹는 식당엔 1월에도 벽난로에 장작을 떼어 따뜻했고 도시뷰를 보며 운치있게 아침을 먹을 수 있음. 식당도 깨끗하고 아침 식사도 정성스럽게 세팅해 줌. 무엇보다 내 방 창에서 호수뷰가 정말 근사함.. 잘 가꿔진 정원도 있어 쉴 곳들도 있음. 또한 방안에 히터가 있는데 1달 동안의 여행 중 처음 봤다. 3일째 가스가 다 떨어져 히터가 꺼졌는데 바로 교체해 주었고 종일 틀어놔도 된다고 했음. 페루 20일 동안 대부분 숙소가 밤엔 추웠는데 여긴 가장 쾌적했음. 욕실엔 뜨거운 물이 시간 상관없이 잘 나오고 욕조도 있었음. 호스트부부는 친절했음.. 호수와도 가까운 거리. 버스터미널에서 10분 쯤 거리에 있어서 밤에도 조용.. 빨래를 널 수 있는 야외 빨랫줄도 있었고 내가 묶었던 패밀리룸은 넓은 발코니까지 있어 완벽했음.. 1일 묶으려다 별장에서 쉬는 느낌으로 며칠 더 지냄. 정말 추천함. 가성비면에서도 최고.

- 위치가 길에서 약간 흙길로 약 3분 정도 올라와야함. 첫날은 그 길이 힘들었지만 충분히 감수할 만함. 그래서 더 좋은 뷰가 있다.

+ Magnífico lugar en Copacabana para pernoctar. Sus instalaciones son bellísimas y tienen una vista espectacular al Titicaca.
