City Circus Athens

They charged us 2 times for the same stay, we even sent the bank documents as evidence but they still insist they did not, and do not refund our money.

O hostel é muito calmo, não havia nenhuma (ou pelo menos não vi) atividade em grupo para incentivar a interação entre as pessoas. Falando em não ver, havia um terraço que fechava as 23:30? Não vi uma mensagem minúscula no elevador quando fui ao terraço perto das 00:00 e o mesmo estava fechado, logo atrás veio um funcionário super mal educado dizendo que estava fechado. Enfim, bem boring.

Not bad for socializing. Pretty accessible and close to most sites. Staff is nice and stored my luggage after checkout. Having to leave my room's access card inserted in a device by the wall to keep electricity (including light) working was a bit of a downturn, because I wanted to charge my phone overnight whilst the light is off so I can sleep, but that was impossible. One of the two showerheads for my room was leaking and I believe I got few bites that made me doubt if there were bedbugs??

Pretty unhappy with my stay. My air conditioning wasn’t working and was raised shortly after checking in. The first solution was a fan in the room which did not help in the heat of Athens. After raising a second time I was able to change rooms for the night which I was thankful for but this occurred late at night it. After my second night I woke up with a bunch of bites over my body. I saw another traveller say City Circus has bed bugs so assume this is what caused my bites too. Pretty gros...

The hostel was full of a huge group of kids, so there was no atmosphere and it wasn't easy to meet other travelers. Good location.

Average to above average stay. The hostel was pretty clean, and it was decent on security. However, the location was average, still a ways walk to public transport, sites, etc., but somewhat in the heart of nightlife. No atmosphere whatsoever which was my biggest downside, as I had hoped to meet other travelers. Wish the staff also had been more charismatic.

This was a great hostel with super friendly staff. The location was great and everything felt modern. The price felt a little high for what the similar experience you can get at a cheaper hostel, and the room wasnt as clean as I expected.

A little expensive but in a great area and super, super clean! I slept like a baby. I had a dorm room for the first few nights, then upgraded to their basic private room which was in the basement but super quiet and comfortable - like a cave!

This hostel has great value for what you got. The location is great as everything is walkable. The rooms were small but they were fine, the beds were extremely comfortable though which I appreciated. It wasn’t a very social hostel because it was rather small, but it was quaint and quiet. It depends what you’re going for! If you want a relaxing place to rest your head stay here. If you want something busier I’d look elsewhere. The staff are great and very helpful too.

Was a lovely stay, you could see the Acropolis frok my bed which was pretty cool. Met a lovely friend in my room however that was just lucky, not overly social as there aren't many acitvities organised except for a nightly pub crawl. Good water filling up spot which was goos cause you cant drink the tap water. Overall a good stay, would stay again.

Clean, comfortable hostel! Best pillows and beds. No en suite bathroom for my room but just a short trek down the hall and it was clean and very spacious. Various groups here - older adults, couples, families, solo travelers. Notes: lockers are noisy to open and close and the lack of curtains makes this a little tougher if you have people coming in/out at all hours! The street noise is also pretty high on the weekends. WiFi was spotty overnight. Did have 1 cold shower but it was late at nigh...

Perfect with everything

Used their private room. Friendly staffs were the best part👍 Bathroom was very clean and great. The room could be humid but they kept controlling air conditioner to make it not humid - which was perfect. Highly recommendable if you visit Athens.

I booked a private room here for 4 nights - it was a lovely stay. The room was very comfortable, and I especially loved the local olive-based shampoo and body wash. The location was perfect, I took the metro straight from the airport and then walked from the hostel to all the main attractions that are all within an easy 15-20 minute walk (the Acroplis, Archeology Museum, etc). The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Wifi was fast. The breakfast was good too!

Stayed in a 4 bed female dorm. Pretty good location that is quiet but not that far from major attractions, you do have to walk a little bit to get to public transport. Nice little lounge area. Only note is no curtains on the bunk beds which I think all hostels should have. The shower and toliet were in the room which was nice not to have to walk down a hallway.

The best hostel !!! Clean, beautiful, a great hobby and kitchen, free tea and coffee in the morning, a nice rooftop and clean facilities. Everything you can ask for !

It was an amazing stay! Every night they organised happy hour with wine and snacks, and there was a movie night also! Very good atmosphere and lovely employees. The kitchen is great and clean and so is the living and eating room. Also it's well-located and there is a lovely bakery in the street!

Amazing hostel. Super clean, friendly staff, and amazing location. My only caveat was that there wasn’t many other solo travellers there (actually a couple families which was weird), but it’s off-season, and that’s not the hostel’s fault. Would 100% recommend. I had a private room and it was super comfortable and clean. The ensuite bathroom was also super clean with a nice big shower. Thank you!!

Always a good experience staying here. Great location, staff are amazing, and the facilities are so clean. Honestly one of the best hostels out there.

I stayed here three times during my trip to Greece, once for 5 days and another two nights in between travel. The beds are seriously comfortable. Lovely staff at reception 24h, small but well equipped kitchen. Good location, you can walk anywhere in the center of Athens within 25 minutes. Nice people in the dorm and social events in the evening, relaxed atmosphere all the time. really recommend staying here.

Great calme place with lots of place to rest, read a book, take time to meet people. Huge kitchen. Very clean.
