Rock & Bowl Hostel Bristol

Staff are friendly and helpful but otherwise bad experience. No atmosphere other than loud noise from the street/bowling at night up until late (they do warn though, to be fair), bed was uncomfortable mattress too soft which dropped in the middle, terrible for my back, toilets/showers were old, basic and messy and were dirty with wet floors day or night. Check-in only until 7PM is a pain and staff aren’t always at the desk, you need to call, number on the email doesn’t work.

The radiator in our room was on the hottest setting all night with no way to turn it off. There were ten people in the room so it was unbelievably hot. Security came into our room at 1:30am shouting and shining torches in our faces looking for someone. Very distressing for my foreign friends who spoke little English. Would not stay here again.
