Super dirty and overpriced, they def don’t take pride in their facility. Broken bed hangings, broken toilet seat, toilet didn’t flush, shower was so dirty one of the girls in my room was trying to scrub it herself, no toilet paper or soap. Mediocre breakfast. Nice workers, decent location, zero social backpacker vibes, wouldn’t stay again.

I've toured so many hostels all over Europe and I've never seen such a high level of dirt. We found the worms inside the horrible bathroom! The sheets were not clean and punctured. There were also a lot of cobwebs. The environment both externally and internally gave of dirt. In addition, the breakfast is poorly supplied, not even a coffee, only bread and jam or a few cereals, only normal milk. It was not a pleasant experience we wanted to leave as soon as possible. It's also not a nice neighbour

The staff were amazing, but the facilities and cleanliness were far from okay. I would not be recommending or returning!

Le hostel était confortable, cependant, chambre (214) avait des punaises de lit… même avec toutes les précautions que j’ai pris en rentrant je les ai ramené chez moi donc faite attention, j’ai informé le hostel j espère qu’il vont faire quelque chose pour résoudre le problème

Cleaning staff threw away my clothing that was designated as laundry. Hostel staff next to useless did not even properly talk with the staff - never again will I stay here

I was staying at this hostel,due to an application error I was charged something that I did not know about ,then I went to the reception and the boy explained, but I waited to corroborate and the boy was very rude started to slamming the doors and tell his other partner if he was nice ,"have you paid?" think I wouldn’t understand French and the other boy said no, the rude boy came again to the door. it became intimidating and unnecessary, I was going to pay anywhere only for that i don't ret...

I booked a room for two people. I made the reservation for a guest of two. It did not differentiate between children or adults. When we arrived at the hostel, I was informed that I cannot bring a 9-year-old child into a private room. The staff at the hostel admitted there was no written warning about children. This forced us to have to go seek other accommodations at a much higher rate This disgusted me and I am done with this app and that place terrible, terrible, terrible!

Room in the basement is super small, you can barely walk between beds. It was clean enough, but the room size makes it very uncomfortable, you feel like the other person is breathing right next to you. Also, the curtains of each bunk bed don’t properly close. I didn’t even get a towel. Wouldn’t return

J’avais loué 4 nuit… je n’y suis même pas restée 1. Les draps était tachés de sang lavés certes, mais beurk. Les chambres sont au sous sol, deguelasse, avec quelques petites bêtes, des cheveux, de la crasse. Personne ne respecte, tout le monde fait du bruit, impossible de se reposer. A 22h, c’était la fête dans la chambre, je suis partie à l’hôtel à côté. Et j’ai été remboursé les 3 derniers nuits.

Le petit dejeuner débute un peu tard pour les voyageurs (7h30)mais le personnel est conciliant en l'installant avant Le point négatif est d'installer nos draps quand on arrive tard.

L’auberge est située à proximité d’un station de métro, la zone est donc un peu mal fréquentée il m’a semblé. Mauvaise odeur dans le dortoir à cause de la ventilation / climatisation. Salle de bain vieillotte et pas hyper propre. Le réceptionniste était sympa et aidant pour donner des recommandations et conseils.

Just one remarque. Le frigo dans la chambre fait beaucoup de bruit et dérange le repos, surtout la nuit. Je vous demande s’il est possible de le remplacer par un appareil plus silencieux ou de l’enlever. Cordialement.

Our stay was okay, as someone who has stayed in many hostels this is probably the only one I wouldn't stay at again. The location was fantastic, however the bathrooms and kitchen were not very clean (black mould in our room shower). If you are in your 20s and looking for a more social hostel, this is not the place for you. Many other guests were middle-aged men. The free breakfast was okay, though no options for dietary restrictions. Not worth booking this hostel just for the breakfast as I did.

It was in a good location for what I needed, but the area itself was a bit sketchy at night because it’s so close to a major Metro station — also a plus, but just something to be aware of. The room was amazing but I was really excited to take a bath and the bathtub was unfortunately dirty. Also a heads up that the walls are extremely thin, so getting a private room doesn’t guarantee you quiet. It was the off season, so not much happening in terms of atmosphere, but the staff was super help...

The staff was really friendly and I liked the Location. Offering a free breakfast is also very convenient and they even had fresh fruit. But for me personally it wasn't a social hostel and I couldn't really connect with people (probably different in high season)

Great place to stay!

I had a very pleasant experience overall. Central, easy to get to transportation. The staff was friendly and helpful. I'm diabetic and had a low episode, and Steven helpede by getting my chocolate from the kitchen. Will definitely be booking more stays here in the future! 😃

The location and staff were nice. I wasn't happy with the attached washroom setup in the dorm room.

Stayed in 3 different hostels in Montreal and this is the only one I wouldn’t go back to. Everyone was nice enough but it felt very rundown, especially in the rooms and hallways.

Great stay! The room was clean and warm. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bar and breakfast were lovely added bonuses. Would stay again!

Everything went alright, but in facts, is some weird that you have to take the sheets and put on your bed, that isn’t happen in others hostels within of the brand

Bon endroit pour un court séjour. Bonne situation près des transports et du centre vivant de Montréal. Petits inconvénients: La literie est un peu dure et les oreillers trop plats à mon goût. Le bar de la cuisine était collant. Dommage que l’entrée donne directement dans le séjour ; un sas serait bienvenu…

My stay at Samesun Montreal was awesome. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the location was perfect and was super easy to get around. There’s a subway station just a two minute walk from the hostel. The breakfast wasn’t anything special, but it was good enough to start the day. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Good place to stay! Nice breakfast, friendly staff. Was in a private room with my friend. The only real issue is that if someone is smoking on the patio outside you can smell it in the room with the windows closed.

Commentaires déjà laissés à samesun: Cuisine: petite, peu d’ustensiles (pas de bouilloire) et de condiments de base (pas de sel, huile) Salle commune: directement à l’entrée qui n’est pas protégé du froid comme en cuisine Bruit: réveillée à 4h30 du matin car un employée a décidé de ranger la salle commune en courant dans les escaliers et en faisant claquer les portes Douche vétuste Matelas troués et forme dus aux passages très présente (creux au milieu)

The heater unit in my room sparked and burned the wall. I reported this issue and the staff unplugged the unit but then the room got extremely cold. I asked to be moved to a different room with no success. I was given blankets but still was extremely cold throughout the night. I still paid full price. Would have been a good stay if this situation was handled better.
