LIGHT SLEEPERS BEWARE. You will be woken up repeatedly throughout the night by people in the common areas even with earplugs. Sound travels across the whole hostel, and there are large vents that let sound and light in from the hallway. No one pays attention to the silence after 10pm signs and the staff don't try to enforce it at all. No curtains despite there being curtain rails, beds not secured to the walls so they shake everytime the other person moves. Loads of ants in the room
Don’t bother with this hostel, it’s more style than substance and didn’t have much of a social vibe going on when I was there. No fans or air conditioning in the communal areas and the rooms were full of mosquitos. It wasn’t particularly clean and it felt a bit worn and dated with a lingering dampness on the lower level where I stayed. I guess I expected better from the price I paid and the photos Online. If you’re into continental breakfasts they do one but I’m not so didn’t eat...
For a private room it's too much. I paid about $50 a night and this place has no vibe, no atmosphere and no electricity for part of the day and night due to the Typhoon. The lights, windows, locks, fan and mirrors in the room are either not working or messed up somehow. Out dated AC in your room works but is loud. Even with ear plugs you hear noise. This is pure marketing and there is nothing designer about this place. The only thing spinning is your head about being ripped off. Mosquito heaven.
The hostel is in a great location, staff are friendly and helpful. The pool is wonderful, but it’s very shaded. The breakfast is amazing, definitely a high point. It would be great if they served it a bit later, as it stops at 9am. On the less positive side, the rooms are really damp. The sheets and blankets don’t feel particularly clean. They have a fridge for drinks in reception to buy, but it is never cold. We stayed at a cheaper hostel nearby first and that one was actually much be...
From the reviews I was expecting a lot better. The hostel isn’t clean, the bathrooms are gross- for the amount of people there should be cleaners going in and out , didn’t see one cleaner throughout our 4 nights there. The maintenance is bad, curtains, doors and floors have marks on everywhere and so dirty. Think was great a few years ago but just felt gross while staying there.
The beds weren’t comfortable, the curtains don’t block out any light, bugs EVERYWHERE in the nighttime there were swarms of flys in the hallways. I walked to the bathroom down the hall and found 3 stuck to me! Breakfast is good but overall would not stay again!
Not great value really, our room was clean but extremely damp, the mattress was mouldy and after a few hours all our clothes felt very damp. Spoke to some other people and it sounds like it’s a problem for everyone, apart from that the staff were super helpful and friendly! But value and damp issues let it down quite a bit.
There was nothing really wrong with Spin, but for the price that they are charging for private rooms, the room was just a little bit too basic. You can get nicer rooms at hotels for less. Free breakfast was ok, but once again not really amazing so that it would warrant the price tag.
Comfortable bed. Really good free breakfast. Bed bugs, so beware. Only stayed one night thankfully but woke with 10 clear bed bug bites. Work being carried out during the day and was very noisy. Left my brush in the shower and returned to the hostel but it had not been put in the lost and found, disappointing. No atmosphere

Spin is so nice and calm and they have a really nice pool and bar area. Very very clean!
The bathrooms and showers were quite dirty, which was a bit disappointing. Other than that, the stay was good overall. The beds are very large and comfortable, and the pool is really nice. It’s not a very social place, but they do organize small BBQs sometimes. The atmosphere is calm though, which makes it great for getting a good night’s sleep. The buffet-style breakfast was absolutely amazing.
The biggest hostel bed I’ve ever had by far! Really quiet at night and everything was clean. Location was good too! Not the most lively hostel but depends what you’re looking for
Best hostel I have stayed in. Stayed in a 4 bed female dorm and it was so spacious, beds were big and comfortable and large lockers available. The staff are lovely. Plenty of showers. Swimming pool in the garden with a restaurant and the whole building was really impressive. Very good free breakfast in the morning too. Would recommend staying here.
Great hostel with a classy breakfast buffet and nice relaxed atmosphere. I really loved staying there!
Super fijn hostel met goede bedden!

I booked 5 nights in Spin Designer and I am glad that I did. It’s easily one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. The staff were helpful and always friendly. I booked a private room which was comfortable for me in my whole stay. The hostel is located about a 5 minute walk from the main part of town. Lastly, lots of friendly people in the common areas, many of which I’ve become friends with! Will come back the next time I’m in El Nido!
Was really a nice hostel with great and helpful stuff. It is a very big hostel, so you probably get lost there 😀 Everything looks quite in a good state and the breakfast ist awesome for a hostel.
The name is a total match to the interior design. The common room and the terrace are really nice, the rooms are clean and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful (tour booking/motorbike rental was organised for a reasonable price). However, the hostel is located next to the main road in El Nido, hence it is quite loud. Also the air conditioner/light and technical devices make an irritating sound (I’m sure this will be fixed shortly :). In total the hostel is nice and definitely worth goi...
Might be the low season but although it was quite nice hostel the atmosphere was quiet. The breakfast was really great and had a lot of options! They make eggs to your liking on the spot and they have both western and Philippines breakfast options. Staff was great the most part, for example they came to remove a huge grasshopper from the curtains the first night. Our biggest problem was that the bathroom clearly had water damage and the room smelled mouldy, so cannot recommended for anyone with ...
Visited during the off season and the hostel was quiet with not much atmosphere, this might be different during peak season. Staff are very friendly & helpful, rooms are as described.
Such nice staff, great facilities and lovely rooms
The hostel has great facilities, a very nice vibe, it feels safe, the rooms are spacious with plenty of storage facilities are areas, free breakfast, possibility to do your own laundry, and perfect location just a few minutes walk onto the centre of el Nido. Only negatives are that the bathrooms felt a little unkept and I think it is quite pricey for a shared dorm.
Location-wise, it’s nice if you’re looking for a hostel that’s far from noise. Their breakfast was tasty! The staff are nice, and the hostel itself has a beautiful ambiance. The beds are big, and the room is clean. What I didn’t like about the place is that there are a lot of mosquitoes during the day, just bring some repellent and you’ll be fine.

I read comments saying this was more like a hotel than a hostel, but I disagree, it’s very hostel-y, it’s just that it’s not that social. The main social space is not very comfortable so no one wants to hang out there. But the rooms are pretty comfy - big beds with curtains, well functioning air conditioning and large lockers for your bags. It’s very centrally located, so you can easily go to bars, book tours, etc. The one thing that would really upgrade this hostel is more frequent clea...
Increíble. Habitaciones grandes e instalaciones súper completas.
I was here a few days, experienced with dorm room and private room. The hostel is beautiful. The rooms are ok. I had a food poisoning and the staff was really kind to me. They offer several facilities. Although I would not recommend to book a private taxi with them since it’s too expensive.
