Baan Mahasamut Pranburi was the perfect place for our first long stay in Thailand, especially in such a peaceful and relaxing area. As an artist it was a privilege that Som and Pieter, the lady and the landlord of Baan Mahasamut, gave me the opportunity to stay at their property for two consecutive years and during several weeks. I had a wonderful stay at Baan Mahasamut. The owners Peter and Som are so friendly and accommodating. The dorm is huge with a lot of space for each person. I highly recommended this place for a chill and quiet stay in Pranburi.

Great value!!! Hidden gem!!! Location - it is a 5 min drive from the nearest beach. The area is a hint remote but with great scenery and serenity. Driving at night needed a little more attention. Some section of the road is a little narrow with no lights. Just drive slowly and you will be fine. Google map direction is accurate. Qu'est-ce que c'est que cet endroit ? Nous sommes arrivés de jour vers 13h, le portail était fermé, nous l'avons ouvert et avons rentré la voiture Seul un couple Myanmar était présent et ne parlait ni le thaï ni l'anglais... Ils ont appelé leur boss au téléphone qui nous a parlé... Dans 2 chambres nous avons vu des dessins sexuels au mur, cela ressemblait plus à un hôtel de passe qu'à un ressort pour famille... L'accès se fait par une piste non goudronnée Il y a très peu d'arbre...

a true rural gem, one of my favourite hostels. the owners and staff were extremely chatty and accommodating. the area is stunning with a fantastic view of a jungle marshland topped off with a sunset!!

The host is really amazing, she makes sure that everyone is happy, biking and driving scooter was so much fun, caves and waves are super nice, the time just flew by, met incredible people in the hostel 😀

I had a good time at Baan Mahasamut and it was one of the best stays I had in Thailand. The dorms are really cute, I met other travellers which was cool and the whole property in general is just awesome! Som is a nice host and always ready to help you out with renting a scooter or telling you about the good spots to visit. There is tons of things to explore in the area and I can highly recommend to go to the Nationalpark! If I came back some time I would definitely stay here again.

Once in a while you’ll find a little gem that you kind off would like to keep for yourself. As much as I would like to do it for this place, more people should be able to enjoy Baan Mahasamut. We spend 5 nights in the shared dorm and it was perfect. Quite and calm, located in a beautiful piece of nature, surrounded by loads of exotic birds and the occasional cow that enters the garden. Definitely recommend this for everyone that would like to recharge for a bit after traveling for a long time....

Truly a gem, very rarely I found such a good hostel before! The owners are kind and helpful, the volunteers are legends and make an amazing breakfast and last but not least the housekeeper/gardener keeps everything clean and tidy. Beds are comfortable, toilets are good, kitchen is amazing (feels like home to cook there) and there is a nice pool. The garden is beautiful and the area super quiet and secluded. There are motorbikes for rent and bicycles for free. Overall amazing. Thank you!

Wanted to gatekeep, but this place is just so good. Hands down best place we have stayed so far. Moped rental is key but only around 250baht and the hotel will help arrange this for you. We will 100% be back
