We thought staying in a tent could be a fun adventurous way to save some money. We were DELIRIOUS. Everything in the tent got damp in a second, you can’t move anywhere because it’s small and you can’t put your luggage away anywhere and I got served like a buffet to the mosquitoes. Originally we booked for three nights. After barely sleeping the first night we checked out. No refunds, however, this was understandable because we were the only guests.

Nice place, and very clean and tidy. Communal areas were well looked after and the showers were hot. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We stayed in a tent which would usually be fine but there’s no space in the tent for our big bags and we also arrived in a rainy downpour meaning we had nowhere to keep our wet bags and belongings. The tent was also very expensive for what you get.

The tents were really bad. There was a hole in the mosquito net, so we got bitten a lot. The ‘beds’ on the picture does not match up - they were stacked cushions. We had booked three nights but ended up leaving early because the place did not match the rating.

An sich ein recht entspanntes Hostel. Leider mussten wir aufgrund von Bettwanzen das Hostel nach nur einer Nacht schon wechseln. Die zwei übrigen Nächte wurden uns erstattet, dennoch blieben wir auf den doch sehr hohen Gebühren, die an Hostelworld gehen sitzen. Ein Kompromiss wurde hier nicht eingegangen. Ich würde das Hostel nicht empfehlen.

Stayed at tent which was nice but no place to hang our stuff and put our bags. Small kitchen without much suplies but nice staff. Overall good. Beware of dogs in the neightbourhood actually whom bite my husband (not hostals fault though)

Only two toilets and two showers for everyone, that's not enough in our opinion. We had water leaking to the roof in our bedroom when it was raining. You can rent a bike but they are in bad conditions. The kitchen isn't big at all. They need more kitchen gear. (you can't cook for yourself) => only microwave and fridge. Free water available.

Schöne Unterkunft am Rande der Innenstadt von Bacalar. Wir haben in einem Zelt geschlafen. Der Platz für unsere Sachen war etwas begrenzt und die Küche ist wirklich nur mit dem nötigsten ausgestattet. Aber besonders der Aufenthaltsbereich ist auf dem Dach ist sehr ruhig und lädt zum entspannen ein.

Cute hostel. Worth the money. No activities to bring people together - basic bur value for money

Lovely,chilled hostel. It was so nice waking up to the sound of birds from all the bature surrounding the hostel. Staff were really nice and helpful. The bed was comfortable with a fan,light and plug socket. I would prefer a privacy curtain. Shower could have had some more water pressure. Overall a great place to stay if you want to chill and lay in a hammock.

Nous avons pris la tente pour 2 nuits et c’était confortable: espace dans la tente, bons matelas et de quoi étendre le linge. Le lieu est mignon et les douches spacieuses. Petit bémol: pas de cuisine! Un espace très spartiate. Mais nous nous y sommes bien détendus.

El hostel es muy bien y es cerca del centro. Nos han gustado mucho los servicios prestados por el encargado del albergue, es muy amable.

We had a great stay! Very chilled vibe, accommodation is basic but exactly what we needed, the staff are all super lovely, no hot water for showers and quite a few mosquitos around but would definitely stay again! they also offer breakfast!

Bon emplacement pas trop loin à pied du terminal de bus à pieds Bon accueil et conseils pour les visites. Réservation possible de schuttles par l'hôtel.. Parties communes.sympa sous toit de palmes. Douche chaude et possibilité de cuisiner ( mais peu d'ustensiles) . Nous étions sous tente.. 4 jours à 2 c'est un peu juste avec les sacs à dos, mais ça allait. Coin plutôt calme, excepté un samedi soir avec musique à fond dans le voisinage.

Auberge très tranquille et charmante où nous avons apprécié rester. Très propre, la seule que nous avons relevé est le manque d’équipements de la cuisine. Le personnel est absolument adorable et nous a rendu service à plusieurs reprises!

Superbe établissement, cosy, tranquille et éco-pensé

Really loved my stay here! Nice common areas (feels a bit like in the middle of a forest) and cute dorms. Free drinking water too. Would definitely come here again!

On a beaucoup aimé ce lieux. C’est mieux que sur les photos. C’est juste dommage d’être exposé au niveau de la rue et il n’y a pas assez d’équipements de cuisine

Nice quiet hostel. Rooftop has good relaxing area. Dorm there is personal fan and outlet for charging. Room gets bit hot but it's okay. Kitchen has basic amenities, would be good if there was more one stove working and few times there was problem with the sink. Hostel couldn't contact me before I arrived and the reception was closed when arrived. But they left very good instructions how to get in and find my room. Friendly and helpful staff. If you want to have relaxing stay this is good place.

The property is lovely. Super clean, quiet and the staff could not be better! If I come back to Bacalar, I will book it again!

Het is 1 van de fijnste hostels waar ik tot nu toe ben geweest! Precies het soort mens op reis waar ik naar op zoek ben. Het is een kleine 15 minuten lopen naar het centrum, maar is wel een leuke wandeling! Zeker aan te raden :)

A great place, really nice staff and no party hostel wich was really nice. It‘s a chill place and easy to meet people.

A very pretty and comfortable hostel, I felt right at home here and it was easy to meet people, even though it is more of a quiet hostel. There is a lot of greenery and a rooftop with hammocks. The staff is super friendly and you can order breakfast and rent bikes and kayaks for decent prices. If you’re not looking for a party hostel and are okay with not staying directly on the lake, I would 100% recommend this place :)

Nur 10min Fußweg vom ADO Terminal und ähnlich weit zur Lagune. Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt mehrmals verlängert, weil es so entspannt war. Der Segeltrip über die Lagune (übers Hostel gebucht) war fantastisch… alles sehr sauber und tolle Atmosphäre. Die Dorms sind in Wirklichkeit VIEL schöner als auf den Bildern :) die Küche könnte ein Update gebrauchen…es hat nur eine der beiden Herdplatten funktioniert. Man kam zurecht. Insgesamt ein Ort zum Verweilen 😊

Really great and laid back hostel, if you're not looking for a party place and can deal with it not having view of the laguna its perfect. Nice and helpful staff, good beds, kitchen, wifi and shower.
