Amazon Dream House with A/C and Starlink

Wasn't ideal, had a relatively nice view, apart from the rubbish tip below. Personally i felt the standard was pretty low considering they charged us $30 for 1 night in a hostel. The bathroom shower was terrible and broken, there were hairs in the basin. Space wise the room was fine, but he AC was pretty much broken. I felt like breakfast should have been included. The only good thing about this place is that one of the owners speaks english and it's near the docks. I wouldn't come here again.

Great hosts for a great hostel. View during breakfast was amazing. The shower and airco after a stay in the jungle were very welcome. The hosts are amazing, very helpful and personal. Also, I love that they are providing a safe home me for some dogs who lived on the street.

I had booked another hostel initially but cancelled it to book this one when I read their reviews. I’m really glad that I switched! This hostel was clean and comfortable with very kind staff working there that helped me with everything I needed. The location was a little further from the action that I’d like but the walk wasn’t too bad, Iquitos has some dodgy people around so just be careful if you’re on foot. I didn’t want to go out alone when it was dark because the same guy approach...

Very friendly and helpful owners! They helped me to arrange a boat and negotiate a good price. The room I booked had a great view looking at the amazing. Was worth it!

Overall great little hostel. Staff are really helpful with organising tours/taxis etc and even sell a few bits you might need for an Amazon tour like torches and bug spray at reasonable prices. Close to restaurants and bars.

Chip and Yessica were great hosts! It helps a lot that Chip is originally from the USA so in English, he was able to point us in the right direction for a restaurant recommendation and help us get a moto taxi in the morning for our flight when Iquitos can be an interesting place to first time visitors. i had an excellent stay at ADH. The owners were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help with everything — from recommending gmlocal restaurants and shops to giving advice on how to catch the boat to Colombia. Breakfast was delicious and well worth the 20 soles. Rooms were clean, comortable and equipped with air conditioning. if you're considdring an amazon tour, i highly recommend booking it directly through the hostel with Jacamar Lodge. i did and had an amazing experience.

The owner is very nice and helpful. The location is quit nice. We booked the this two times, the first time we had a small room, where it was a bit difficult to navigate with big luggage, but the second one was nice and spacious. The owners are great people who are well connected to anything that you need while in Iquitos. We booked a 3 day Amazon tour through them (Jacamar Lodge), and it was a great experience with a good guide. Coming back to a clean hostel with AC after being in the jungle was very nice. 10/10.

Great place, AC worked, hot shower, clean, lovely and accommodating owners. Beautiful view- Book the room with a view of you can. Great views from the dining area too. Market outside- very convenient. Wish it had a kitchen.

This place is so great! Highly recommend staying here. Chip and Yessica are the best hosts and were so nice and accommodating. Hooked us up with a fantastic Amazon Tour. Staying with them and doing the Amazon Tour was the highlight of our Peru trip.

The property has killer looks from the balcony and you can also make your way up to the rooftop. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms tidy. hot shower works perfectly. The property also has 3 extremely friendly doggos, who are absolute peaches. The owner speaks perfect English and was really helpful. would recommend for sure :)

GREAT spot in Iquitos. Chip runs the place and was so helpful in pointing us to an affordable Amazon tour. WiFi is perfect and having hot water in Iquitos was such a gift. Highly recommend!

Really nice hostel in Iquitos, Chip and Jessica were super nice and helpful. The view of the river from the dining room is classic, I really enjoyed t drinking coffee there in the mornings. Pretty toasty in Iquitos at this time of year, the a/c was very welcome and made my afternoon siestas very comfortable. I found it somewhat interesting to have a fruit market in front of the hostel. After my first impression, I grew to like it, especially having fresh bananas just steps away.

Amazon Dream is a perfect location in Iquitos. You have the markets across the street, you are situated on the water with a rooftop view of both, the water and the street. The facilities are very clean and comfortable. The owners are very friendly, knowledgeable of the area and make good recommendations. They both speak fluent Spanish and English. Perfect spot if you are going on an Amazon jungle cruise.

The Amazon Dream House was a really great place. The hostel is clean, spacious and with a great view of the river. Really the hostel serves the purpose of a short stay before going into the Amazon. This is where the staff really were amazing and helpfull. We wrote the Hostel and they helped us out with everything related to booking a 3 day trip into the amazon. The trip was the best experience we’ve had on a trip going around in a large part of South America. My strongest recommendation!

Chip and Yessica provided a really great experience for me when I arrived in Iquitos. The hostel itself is absolutely beautiful and the A/C is a much appreciated refuge from the humidity and heat here. Chip and Yessica will email you very helpful information upon booking. Yes the hostel is more expensive than others in the area. This is a case where you get what you pay for, well worth it if you ask me. Great place to stay! Hosts were very knowledgeable about the area and recommended some really great excursions, restaurants and places to go.

Chip and Yessica were helpful and welcoming hosts and genuinely nice people. They are fluent in English and Spanish. The location was close to the square and had views of the river down below. The rooms were nice and clean. We got great sleep because of the AC and it was so quiet. It was truly a home away from home. We were thankful to find such an amazing place to stay in Iquitos.

Unbelievable find. This hostel is the hostel of all hostels. Our room had the most insane view, the owners of the property were incredibly kind and we really felt like they made our trip to Iquito worthwhile. Their endless but un pressured knowledge of the local area was invaluable. We were able to achieve so much more with a £200 in the Amazon than if we spent £1000’s We are unbelievable grateful and we will be passing this hostel around friends and family. We stayed in a double room after our trip to the Amazon, and couldn’t have asked for better. The room was large, clean, and had an unbelievable view of the river. The aircon and WiFi was also great. Chip and Jessica were amazing hosts, really great people and a pleasure to meet (and their amazing dogs!!) they even sorted us with a tour to Belen marke last minute. I highly recommend Amazon dream house, and would stay here again for sure!
