The food was embarrassingly overpriced. We watched every guest order $12 pesto pasta because it was the only thing under $20. And even that was horrible. Staff were rude and inattentive. I asked to buy a coffee advertised on the board and they said no, only to see staff drinking coffee in the back. We liked the dorm and had an amazing trip to Canó island, but note the water taxi there is $30 dollars each way pp. Beautiful setting but ridiculously overpriced food and no kitchen.

Location is stunning and I saw toucans and capuchin monkeys without even leaving the dorm room. There’s a secluded beach an easy, 5 min hike away with a waterfall and sea caves. HOWEVER, meals were EXPENSIVE ($11-$18 for meals that were not particularly filling or delicious) and you’re forced to eat there because it’s so remote. The manager (Frederico??) was openly rude to me and to the staff in front of me which was very uncomfortable and unprofessional. Other staff were friendly and help...
