Kin Camping and Hostal

Truly the worst hostel experience I’ve ever had. First of all, the roads leading to this place are absolutely terrible. I call it a campground with a shabby cabin (the “hostel” part). The bathroom smells horrible, the wifi is barely working, the facilities are old and falling apart, it’s not super clean, you have to walk around barefoot which is disgusting (especially considering the fact that it’s not clean) and it isn’t close to the center either. Definitely wouldn’t come back!

well, its a camping place. tent by tent by tent. very small, but very beautiful. they made it lovely. several common spaces to hang around and get in contact with others. if you arent so much into privacy or comfort and if you are more looking for atmosphere...this is the place you want to go.

It kinda felt like going camping with bad equipment. Telt was not long enough for me (186cm) to lay straight and the zip was broken so only the mosquito net worked. “Mattress” was not comfortable at all and they didn’t have any clean towels for us. I know it is cheap, but I would expect that the few facilities and equipment that is included was actually decent. Vibes was fine and staff was super nice. If you are travelling on a serious budget I guess it is fine, but I wouldn’t do it ...

Uncomfortable sleep, just seemed to be a few blankets laid on the floor. Staff didn’t seem to talk to anyone except each other.

Sehr gut ausgestattete Küche und sehr sauber. Das wlan war aber sehr schlecht bzw. ging gar nicht. Das Zelt F war nicht mehr ganz das neuste und wir haben jeden Morgen und Abend mindestens 10 Minuten gebraucht und es zu verschließen, da der Reißverschluss kaputt war. Als wir es einen Mitarbeiter gesagt haben, wurde gesagt es wird sich drum gekümmert aber es ist nichts passiert. Außerdem waren die Matratzen sehr hart.

Mixed feelings about this place. Was a very chill vibe, nice kitchen you can use, tent good as black out and had fan. Issue is that the island has so many mosquitoes and when you’re camping there is no escape. Couldn’t even have a shower without being bitten. Beds also aren’t very comfortable and did still get too hot at night. Vibe was also a bit too chill for us and therefore not sociable enough. Heerlijke plek in Holbox. Iets meer buiten het centrum waardoor je echt in een oase van rust zit. Ik lag in een tentje, ideaal voor 2 nachten. Heel basic maar prima! Als je voor langer gaat zou ik combineren met een ander hostel om ook wat meer in het centrum te zitten. Damien is top. Muchos Gracias!

Jai dormi dans le dortoir, propre et spacieux seulement pas de place pratique pour les gros backpack. Les lockers sont en dehors du dortoir ce qui n’est pas des plus pratique non plus. La cuisine est bien équipée mais cuisine d’hostel, pas incroyablement propre. L’espace commun est sympa et l’emplacement n’est pas si loin du centre seulement c’est une partie de l’île qu’ils ne purgent pas donc l’accès était compliquée à pieds avec backpack.

Ambiance camping même dans la partie hostel, propre mais aurait besoin d’un petit rafraîchissement. Cuisine bien équipée. Espace extérieur avec hamac très agréable. Personnel sympathique et aidant. Un peu loin du centre mais ça perpermet d’être moins loin de Punta Cocos

We can wholeheartedly recommend Kin Camping! The people there are all super nice and friendly—you feel welcomed right away. Great atmosphere all around. There are several large fridges and plenty of space for cooking in the outdoor kitchen :) The tents are relaxed and comfy, with enough room to spread out. If we visit Holbox again, we'll definitely stay at Kin Camping once more!

Nice place, cosy jungle vibes. Camping was fun for a couple of nights and close to the beach.

Sehr tolles Hostel mit wirklich schönem Garten zum chillen und toller Atmosphäre. Sauberkeit 10/10 und nettem Personal. Betten sind mit Licht und Vorhängen ausgestattet

J’ai trouvé l’organisation de cet endroit vraiment au top, tout ce dont vous avez besoin s’y trouve, il y a un espace camping et un espace dortoir avec pleins de douches et toilettes. C’était propre et très chill. A quelques minutes de la plage. Et 10min du centre ville à pied, endroit très calme et excentré. Juste à côté vous avez un refuge pour chiens et chats, je vous conseil d’aller les promener ! Seul point négatif, le manque d’activités pour réunir les gens.

the best hostel !! the staff is so friendly and welcoming. everything is super clean all the time. the atmosphere is incredible. literally felt like a family there. would come back every time :)

Ich habe es geliebt! Die Gemeinschaftsräume waren gemütlich, Küche sehr organisiert (sogar Fächer im Kühlschrank und Regal für jeden!), kurzer Spaziergang zum Strand, liebe Leute, alles tutti

Nous avions passés 3 nuits ici TOP ! Accueilli par Damien super, le lieu est très convivial nous avions dormi en tente, proche de la plage et à 10 mins du centre à pied, café offert tout les matins, endroit très propre merci ! Super rapport/qualité prix! Je recommande sans hésitation !

Super camping, j’ai passé 3 nuits en dortoir et j’ai adoré. Damien (le gérant) est très gentil et parle français ! Il m’a donné beaucoup d’informations. La cuisine est très bien équipé Encore merci pour ce super séjour

Super auberge! J’ai dormi en tente dans l’espace camping, et j’ai passé une excellente nuit, très confortable, matelas et draps très agréables, il y a même des prises à l’intérieur de la tente. Les espaces communs sont très cosy et très propres, les prix sont carrément raisonnables, et le propriétaire est très sympathique. Je recommande vivement :)
