+ Good stay in terms of comfort and location
- Every night I was here before and after my trek there was a party happening with INSANELY loud music. Could not get a good night sleep. Considering most people here are going to a hike, it was ridiculous how loud the music was.

2 duchas para 2 dormitorios / 2 inodoros solamente también. Ducha no limpia… No ventanas : el viento corre adentro del dormitorio y se escucha todos los ruidos de la calle : si durmieras afuera sería lo mismo. Te cobran 75Q en vez de cobrarte 65Q como está escrito en la aplicación y lo hacen de manera muy fea.
2 showers for 2 bedrooms / 2 toilets only too. Shower not clean... No windows : the wind runs into the bedroom and you hear all the noise of the street: if you sleep outside it would be the same. they charge you 75Q instead of 65Q as it says in the application and they do it in a very ugly way.
Hostel has a really good location but the kitchen and the bathrooms are not clean at all.
- Bruit du couloir. Bruit porte entrée. Bruit sonnette. Seulement deux douches pour l ensemble. Pas au même étage. Sur extérieur. Froides et pas toujours très propres, mais c est pas la faute du personnel qui nettoye régulièrement. Équipements sommaires....

- Vi bookede privat badeværelse. Vandtrykket var sløjt på første salen, vandet stoppede helt med at virke efter 1 1/2 minut i bad. Stikkontakterne virkede ikke.

- Geluidsoverlast, de kamer die we hadden lag aan de straat, bij passerende auto’s voelde het aan alsof je op straat lag.
The bar above played music so loud we couldn’t even watch something in our room - a dealbreaker for me although it did stop at 10ish. Private room was ok. Shower and bed seemed clean but not sure what the black marks were literally all over the old flooring.
We stayed two nights in a dorm and one in a private room. First night, we arrived late in the city (11pm) and when we communicated our arrival time, were told to book another hostel, because they couldn’t let us in after 10pm. The reception staff can’t tell you anything about the tours, tracks or even information about the hostel, you always have to text a guy. Bathrooms are few and dirty. The kitchen is fine, but the water filters run extremely slow, so often empty. At least it’s cheap!
+ the location was good.
- basically all equipment, furniture, facilities and rooms were old and are in desperate need of renovation. The floors were dirty due to age, but were cleaned by the staff. We had a room for ourselves and it was like 4 square meters without closet. Our experience wasn’t great, but it was not bad. It was just not what we thought it would be, and maybe more suited for people that have a very low budget to spend while traveling.

Really cool hostel. Everything you need and lovely and clean
Ich habe mich sehr wohlgefühlt. Perfekte Lage zur Erkundung der Stadt. Personal sehr freundlich und die Atmosphäre entspannt. Die Dachterrasse ist hat mir richtig gut gefallen. Man kommt dort gut in Kontakt mit anderen Reisenden und auch Locals. Touren und Shuttle habe ich bei Quetzaltrekkers gebucht, da die Preise im Hostel sehr teuer sind.
I have felt very well. perfect location for exploring the city. very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. the roof terrace is really good. you get in contact with other travelers and locals. tours and shuttles i have booked from quetzaltrekkers, as the prices in the hostel are very high.

+ Super Preis-Lesitungsverhältnis, einfaches Check-in/-out. Super sauber, super Küche. Rooftopterasse wo auch für Locals eine coole Bar ist.
Super clean, super kitchen, rooftop terrace where also for locals is a cool bar.

- Rooms were sort of all over the place and our group was not close to each other.

- La salle de bain était petite et la toilette coulait. Il y avait des odeurs qui en provenait. Hôtel bruyante. Il y a un bar à l’étage, ouvert au public avec du Karaoke 3 soirs semaine. Nous voulions dormir avant de faire la randonnée du volcan Santa Maria de nuit… mais impossible. Le son était tellement fort que c’était comme si nous y étions. Sans parler de la qualité des chanteurs qui irrite encore plus. Ce n’est pas écrit sur leur site qu’il y a ce genre de soirée. Avoir su nous ne serions pas allé la. Si vous y aller pour voir des gens et faire la fête et que le sommeil n’est pas un enjeu pour vous, ceci ne vous dérangera pas. Le 2e soir c’était très tranquille.

- It gets a bit noisy some evenings at their bar but it closes fairly early so it’s just a couple of hours
+ Die Lage war super und es gibt sehr gute Informationen zu Ausflügen (nicht nur für Tours, sondern auch ohne Tour). Die Küche ist auch recht gut.
- Die Gemeinschaftsbäder könnten etwas sauberer sein. Die Musik von der Bar war zu laut (besonders während der Karaokenacht). Es ist insgesamt sehr hellhörig.
Personnel très aimable, cuisine bien équipée et terrasse avec une belle vue!

+ A Casa Kiwi é um hostel maravilhoso. Funcionários muito simpáticos, prestativos e prontos a ajudar. Quartos amplos, limpos e com mesas de trabalho. Cozinha super completa. Banheiros limpos e organizados. Cláudia, Thomas, Mari e restante equipa, muito obrigado por tudo. Voltarei com certeza Água filtrada
- Os colchões podiam ser mais confortáveis. Para quem tem sono leve, o barulho da rua pode acordar cedo demais. Para quem se incomoda com barulho, tem um bar que funciona até às 22h, mas para mim foi super tranquilo.
Really helpful owner, small kitchen, and rooftop area to relax. Events on rooftop were fun and had many locals, nice lighting and great location. best hostel in Quetzal.
