The property wasn't well maintained at all. There was seepage in the washroom, water was dropping from the roof. Spider webs everywhere in the dorm, I wish I booked something else.

The property itself is nice with a peaceful and cozy ambience. The hosts and staff are good. I also took a Non Touristic Desert Safari through them. Safari Pros - The guide is soft spoken and answers all questions asked. The dunes and the sky view look good. Safari Cons - The dunes they camp at are not completely silent- can hear the sound of the windmills all night. Poor hygiene- cleaned utensils with dirty cloth. The dinner given is very basic. They also skimp out in providing enough snac...

The property was well located and had all the facilities. The room was cleaned. I think that what was missing was the atmosphere mostly because we arrived end of April with the season ended , the hostel was empty and even the staff was just chilling/sleeping everyday. No one was around. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much

Checked in at 9pm and it took 1.5 hours for our beds to be ready. They tried to give us a 6bed dorm at first when we booked the 4 bed. 4 bed dorm was not fit for purpose as there was not enough storage. Cleanliness was also an issue as the bed sheets were not clean and the bathroom felt dirty and there was no hot water. Was also extremely loud until around 1.30am so it was hard to sleep. Plus points: food was very good and cheap, feels like a good hostel to make friends and staff were friendly.

Location is good, bedsheets were not clean. Okayish it was basis my experience. Looking for long stay checkout somewhere else.

Nice hostel in centre, staff were lovely and helpful, but quite disorganised - overbooked and had to move us around to both AC and non AC dorms before trying to charge us the wrong amount. But they did offer a discount as an apology.

Really lovely owners, both they and the staff of the desert safari were very accommodating. Highly recommend this place!

Super chill vibe i with an awesome rooftop cafe. Staff is super helpful, especially the owner Vivian who made us feel comfortable and helped us out whenever we asked.

Great place to stay with very attentive hosts. Booked a great desert safari through them and was able to shower and change at the hostel before my night bus

It was a pretty cool and memorable stay. Good facilities and a great rooftop to chill.The hosts and staff were really nice and friendly. Highly recommend it especially for solos and friend groups.

Had a brilliant time at Open Road, the staff are super and incredibly helpful. The owners are both very calm and bring a nice energy to the place. The rooftop is great, lots of place to relax and some beautiful views of the fort on one side and sunset later on the other. Pool table is a nice touch. Bed was comfy, rooms were lovely and cool. Toilets are outstanding and have some beautiful stone in them. Look forward to coming back and staying and doing again the desert trip that they organise.

There were a lot of good hostel options and I am so glad I went with this one! Rerouted myself to be able to see Jaisalmer and staying here made that experience so much better. Vivian and Aparna are so beyond helpful, the place is clean with a gorgeous rooftop, and it’s perfectly located. I booked the Nontouristy Safari with them and it was everything I hoped for and more. Open Road enriched my travels and I hope to be back one day!!

C’était trop chouette ! Arrivée de last minute vers 6h du matin, j’ai été accueillie malgré le dérangement causé par ma non-ponctualité avec un grand sourire ! Tout le monde est très arrangeant, la nourriture est super bonne, le tour dans le désert proposé est génial avec des gens incroyables, une expérience non comparable pour ainsi dire :) J’ai même pu rester dans l’hostel la dernière journée pour travailler après mon check-out ! Merci encore :)

Such a Lovely , homely hostel with sweet little part time pets and kind and very helpful staff. Cafe was closed due to the season only opening but still managed to get coffees and mango juices which were delicious so I can imagine the food is good too! Recommend stay for decompressing and chilling. Plenty of places to sit inside and outside. Really enjoyed my time here

My stay at this hostel in Jaisalmer was absolutely wonderful! The host family was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. They went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience, even organizing an incredible desert trip that I’ll never forget. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, and everything about my stay exceeded expectations. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Jaisalmer!

My experience with hostel and staff here was really great. Everyone is so friendly, you will not feel that it's hostel, it's like home. They also provide desert safari which much cheaper than outside and it's the best experience ever. I highly recommend everyone to spend time here.
