LA CHOZA INN HOSTEL & OFF SITE JUNGLE HOT SPRINGS

I would not recommend this hostel. The guy working mornings at the reception was so RUDE. Everyone I met at the hostel was thinking the same about this specific person. So maybe don’t work in a hostel if you don’t like travelers? Rest of staff was lovely (shoutout to the driver of the free shuttle for being so nice!) My room was just above the kitchen so super noisy, woken up each morning at 6 from staff cooking breakfast underneath. Not enough toilets too

All the windows were broken, so it was really loud the whole night. The shuttle was only going once a day and only allowing you to stay 1 hour, which is really sad and since it leaves at 13:00, you would have to plan the whole day around it. Also the warm showers did not work. The breakfast also was not good. The whole Hostel lacks vibe and is rather a run down Hotel than a cozy place. Tbh we didn‘t like our stay.

The staff was really unfriendly, none of the outlets in the dorm worked other than the one in the bathroom, the beds were super uncomfortable. Overall wasn’t great

Wifi war schlecht. Im Bett hatten wir gar kein Wifi. Dusche war meistens kalt. Keine Hängematte Frühstück war gut.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! After staying here for 3 days, I can honestly say the reviews are misleading! I personally hated my stay here. The main guy spoke to us so rudely most of the time. He even ordered everyone to go and clean the kitchen at 10pm at night.. pointed at me in an aggressive way and was like “YOU TOO!” .. they treated us like kids.. lights go out at 10pm and they’re super strict and passive aggressive about EVERYTHING. Felt a bit like a prison.

The marketing is a bit scanmmy. They advertise you can get a shuttle to the hotsprings included but it’s only 1 time a day..and the wort time of the day to go at 13:00. It’s incredibly busy and usually too hot during that time of day to want to hotspring You have to buy a 20$ shuttle pass per day if you want to go at the other times they advertise. Also it’s definitely not walking distance to what they advertise. Breakfast included was a joke. A tiny portion of scrambled eggs, watery coffe...

Worst “hostel” I’ve ever been to. Don’t expect to have a hot shower after being in the cold water all day because the showers were freezing cold and they didn’t care one bit. The dorms had humidity and not enough space, too many beds in every corner. From the moment I got in, there were an infinite number of very aggressive signs everywhere, threatening you, but the staff were the worst I’ve ever since. I was disrespected during my whole stay. Not good, stay somewhere else

This property scammed us. We bought a room and then they emailed us to let us know it wasn’t available, even though their website said it was. They then wouldn’t cancel the reservation so we would have to cancel it and not get a refund. They refused to help. Be careful booking a room here.

We loved our stay here! We got a private room with two beds and it was perfect for us. The breakfast was yummy and gave us the perfect start for our day! The hosts were all lovely. I wish we had more than one night here :)

estaba todo bien el lugar , sin embargo.... los dormitorios compartidos no hay ningun tipo de privacidad solo en el baño, hubiera estado bueno unas cortinas para tener más privacidad. Pero si su localización está muy buena

Rooms were decent, not enough bathroom options for one room (1 toilet, shower, sink for 10 people). Super hilfsbereites Personal. Das inkludierte Frühstück besteht aus Reis mit Bohnen + Eier + Ananas + Brot mit Butter. Das Hostel ist schon ein bisschen im die Jahre gekommen, aber die Betten sind trotzdem bequem. Super Pluspunkt: es gibt es unlimitiertes Shuttel für 15 bis 20 USD. Mit diesem Shuttle kommt man überall recht gut hin.

Free breakfast was delicious and very filling. Very clean. Close to everything. Harder to socialize but overall really great hostel and well worth the price

Boendet i sig var väldigt bra, rummen fräscha med AC och bra tryck i duschen. Frukosten som ingick var god och det fanns vattenautomat. Däremot är många som jobbar där ganska otrevliga och inte så välkomnande så det var negativt, man kände sig inte alltid jätteuppskattad som gäst.

Lindo hostel. Buen desayuno. Falta un poco de limpieza en los baños.

Le petit déjeuner est vraiment top, et le shuttle est un vrai plus !

Fair for what you pay for. 12 women for one bathroom is tight and there is not much space. Great location, wait to book tours because they have great deals on volcano hikes, waterfall, and hanging bridges. They have unlimited shuttle which brings you to all the main attractions, which was fantastic.

The Staff was not friendly at all... the place is okay.. but I was everything way better

Duschen funktionieren nicht richtig aber dickes Plus fürs Frühstück und die Damen die es servieren.

Great value for what I paid. The breakfast was so yummy and I appreciated the kitchen. I wish the AC in the rooms started earlier but overall I would recommend for the price.

Super Frühstück!

Steckdose explodiert und Schäden hinterlassen, hätte aber schlimmer ausgehen können. Einrichtung sehr renovierungsbedürftig Klima tropft und dadurch schimmelt es Leiter für Hochbett Richtung Wand, nur 30 cm Platz um durchzukommen (einfach schlechte Konstruktion)

Globalement bien. Lits confortables, pas insonorisé, on entend tous les bruits de la ville et des voisins. Petit déjeuner correct.

Really nice hostel. I liked the shuttle at the hostel it was a nice way to get around. The breakfast was really nice and the kitchen was really nice and clean. Rooms had keys which was nice to have the doors be locked properly.
