Dusche kaputt und undicht, Möglichkeiten zum Abschließen fallen fast auseinander, extrem teuer in Vergleich zu anderen Unterkünften in Irland.
We had a private room, which wasn’t cleaned up well and really simple (e.g. garbage in the bin, dirt on the floor, no soap, nothing to put on stuff). It was really loud because the room was near by the entrance with a whole between door and floor, no quiet time rules for the night time and a loud sound of the water pipes which were going through the room.
The room was not clean. The beds have blue fitted sheets on them and you get 2 white flat sheets to go over those sheets for your stay. At the end of your stay you remove the white sheets the blue ones remain on and stink, not sure if they ever get changed. The shower was unclean and the single toilet in the washroom was shared by the 10 people who occupy the room. Furthermore there was no hand soap in the bathroom attached or the lobby bathroom. No lockers or secure areas anywhere for valuables
Good location but that was about the only good thing about this hostel. For the amount you pay, the facilities are lacking and the cleanliness is not up to standard at all. The bathroom had mould everywhere, and even some silverfish crawling around. The kitchen had a foul smell like something has died behind the fridge. A lot of the kitchen equipment was not in safe working condition. The staff were friendly but overall I would not stay here again despite the beautiful location.
Great location and very helpful staff. Unfortunately, the bathroom was very smelly and the dorm door was left open by cleaning staff.
pro: - nice location - nice staff - good kitchen equipment con: - cold room - room smelled bad - small beds - 1 chair for 6-bed-dorm - low water pressure in the shower
Posizione splendida, il resto no. Struttura grande ma molto datata. Attrezzature in cucina non pulite e alcune non funzionanti. Niente luce vicino al letto. Porte difficili da aprire e chiudere. Poca acqua per doccia vecchia. WC rumoroso e instabile, Prese a muro precarie. Letti cigolanti. Personale gentile ma non del luogo e con limitata padronanza dell’inglese. Soggiorno accogliente. Biancheria e asciugamani pulitissimi
We enjoyed our stay there in a twin room but it was more expensive than other B&Bs we stayed in when walking the Wicklow Way. The breakfast sounded rather basic & expensive in comparison to other ones. We had to go to the pub for dinner.

Friendly staff, comfortable room. We didn't make enough use of the rest of the accommodation to be able to judge. But we recommend this quiet hostel.

Had a lovely break down in Wicklow. The hostel was a great base. Very spacious downstairs which was great for chilling in the evenings
really good place to stay if you like nature
Very nice place to stay, perfect starting point for the hikes !
Nice hostel with very nice people. straight at the start of many hikes. big kitchen to cook your meals. The only thing that was a bit annoying were the classes of 20 people who kept a party at their room untill midnight with the nessecary yells, screams, music and laughter. But besides that, really lovely over there.
Good location and facilities. Johnny was very helpful.
We had a great stay! Loved the kitchen and the dining room - great view! The shower wasn’t super clean and breakfast was quite expensive for 9€. It’s great if you want to do a longer hike in Glendalough or around Wicklow. Would definitely come back!

The hostel provided the guest with everything they needed (except a kettle for a nice cup of tea). The rooms were very clean and the beds comfy. The location itself is perfect as a starting point for hiking tours both around the Lakes as well as other parts of Wicklow Mountains. Definitely worth a visit!
Staff was friendly and welcoming. VERY safe location and building. Glendalough is literally in the backyard and is stunning. Other guests are tourists (including families) and nature types who were wonderful to have breakfast or a chat with. There were only two downsides to this location and they're minor: groceries and busses. *disregard if you plan on driving* No fault of the hostel, but getting groceries beforehand is a must as the nearest place to get anything is quite a walk and the option...
Lovely stay with my husband & 8 year old son. Super to be able to explore Glendalough & hike the Spinc from the hostel with no need to pay the parking fee. Wi-Fi good, enjoyed streaming movie & popcorn after dinner. We self catered but breakfast option looked good. Would definitely stay there again when doing more hiking or exploring in the area.
The place was ideal for hiking and the staff was AMAZING! Super welcoming and social. Head desk guy got us some tea when we came out of the freezing rain. The rooms were very average, no bugs as far as I saw and well kept. Didn’t have any uneasiness there with staff or other visitors. I would definitely return if I get the chance.
Nice location for hiking, friendly people and good facilities, big kitchen and dining areas. Was not very busy but could talk to people and had a good sleep. Using the ensuite shower was a bit tricky but overall a good stay!
The mattresses are unusually hard so that it found it hard to sleep there. Everything else without exception was great!
Location is fantastic, the hostal has a very nice vibe. Very few electric plugs in the dorms, can get cold at night. A bit expensive for value
Nice place to stay isolated from big cities and crowds. Notice that to have a decent supermarket you should go to Wicklow (45min drive) and to find a pub to Laragh (30min walk). Great place to trak around the lakes or just to chill in the hostel. It was good to meet Eugenio (the receptionist), he told us some good stories.
It's right on the wicklow way trail. I've met some really nice fellow hikers there as well. Staff is friendly, rooms and cleanliness are what you'd expect from a hostel. Only downside is that it can be difficult to get dinner or groceries nearby. But I would definitely stay here again!
