It’s honestly a shame that the Viajero in Cali couldn’t live up to the franchises name as i love it in Mexico, Peru, and Cartagena, Colombia. Unfortunately, the showers had no ventilation and only hot water so you would end up feeling sticky and burned after a shower. At times the events just felt like an easy cash grab at times, the events would be double the actual price (you’re better off just going directly to the event by yourself or with friends bc you will find everyone their anyway...
I was very disappointed with the hostel. Very few activities were organized, there were a lot of rats, and we informed the hostel but they didn’t seem to care. In short, I do not recommend this hostel.
Awful, absolute awful. Not only did facilities resemble a soviet bomb shelter, but there was a lingering smell of sewage. Further one of the guest a few dorms left early becomes they discovered bed bugs in their bed, and the hostel seemed in no haste to do anything about it.
This place is a dump. To be more precise, it's an outdated, unair-conditioned, no wifi working dump. #dump #thankmelater #saveyourself
I've been in Viajero Salento and it was perfect but in Cali was not as I expected. For safety reasons I don't recommend this hostel because I've seen some strangers from outside the hostel hanging around inside. Some of them smoked weed outside right front of the main door disturbing with the smell that's reached inside the rooms. The reception didn't do a thing against it especially after my confrontation with one of theses guys. Hostel world should remove this hostel from their website!...

WORST HOSTEL EVER!!! DONT GO THERE!! The staff dont do the job, weird men, hot water one time per week, they let people talking in front of your room and make noises in the morning! Way too expensive for what it is. Special mention for the worst one Ruben! Work in the front desk but dont know how to work! He is disrespectul and talk really bad!! Everything was bad!!

J'ai voulu les encourager, et je ne peux qu'être désolée de ne pas avoir aimé, et surtout de m'être dit, c'est une arnaque. This hostel had been recommended to me by colombians I had met, one of their relatives would be the owner of the chain. i wanted to encourage them, and i can only be sorry that i didn't like it, and especially that i told myself, this is a scam. probably because this hostel was originally extra, but it is very clear that no maintenance was done. everything falls to pieces. if it wasn't for the staff, this hostel would be worth nothing at the moment. everything is to be rebuilt.

Absolutely waste off time in the reception spend 30 min checking in twice, spent 20 minutes waiting for the salsa class because of incompetence at the reception. My second salsa lesson was cancelled because they messed up again. Pool wasn’t working and the general communication have been so bad, because you spend time planning accordingly to ur salsa lesson. No compensation for pool missing and delayed salsa lesson. Very unsatisfying

Loved my stay here so much so that I had to come back. Great vibes, excellent staff and good facilities. Karin, the host, works really hard (and succeeds) in organizing events and bringing people together. Camila at the bar is like a soul sister - her genuinely positive vibes make everything better.
Llegué tarde una noche después de un día largo y Karen en recepción me recibió con una sonrisa y toda la info que necesitaba sobre Cali. Ese detalle marca la diferencia cuando llegas cansado a una ciudad nueva. El hostel tiene una ubicación perfecta en San Antonio, las clases de salsa gratuitas son un must y el ambiente es muy bueno para conocer gente. Repetiría sin dudarlo.
I arrived late one night after a long day and karen at the reception greeted me with a smile and all the info i needed about cali. that detail makes all the difference when you arrive tired in a new city. the hostel has a perfect location in san antonio, free salsa classes are a must and the atmosphere is great for meeting people. i would repeat it without hesitation.
Uno de esos hostels donde el equipo lo hace todo. Felipe siempre dispuesto a ayudar con cualquier duda sobre la ciudad, Cami haciendo los desayunos más ricos cada mañana con una energía increíble, y Karen en recepción de noche haciendo que llegaras y te sintieras como en casa. San Antonio es el barrio perfecto para estar en Cali y el Viajero te lo exprime al máximo. Si vas a Cali, este es tu sitio.
One of those hostels where the team does everything. felipe always ready to help with any questions about the city, cami making the richest breakfasts every morning with incredible energy, and karen at the reception at night making you arrive and feel at home. san antonio is the perfect neighborhood to stay in cali and the viajero expresses it to the fullest. if you are going to cali, this is your place.
Such a good hostel! Beautiful rooms and common spaces where the pool and bars are. Also the free yoga classes are great! Highlight was the staff!!!! Kevin at the reception was so sweet and helpful and Karin from the activities is the best!!!! You’ll feel included right away!
The hostel was very clean, staff were friendly, and there were constantly social events going on that you could join. Karín and all the other staff and volunteers I talked to were amazing and made my experience at the hostel even better!
Fun hostel, the free activities are nice, the food wasnt my favorite but there are restaurants nearby that are good. The staff were great, really enjoyed speaking with Emily and Juanda, both were very helpful. Place is clean and quiet. The ac works, albiet a little too well some days for the lack of blankets.
The property is lovely, its a shame about the air conditioning sometimes it will come on automatically in the night and be freezing in the dorm rooms and everyone kinda has this A/C cough in the morning. The beds and rooms are comfy and the facilities are clean. The laundry service is a real asset in choosing this hostel. The private rooms are lovely comfy air conditioning and controller and tv, of course you can hear the salsa from the room, but you are here to dance after all.
Best hostel yet! Karin made our experience of Cali amazing. The activities were so well organised and so much fun, all the staff were super friendly. Everywhere in the hostel was really clean and comfortable too. We didn’t want to leave!
This Hostel is amazing! definitely worth to stay if your in Cali, Beds are Comfy, the kitchen is sometimes a bit messy but it works but the atmosphere and Vibe was incredible the Host Karin did a amazing job had a great time there!

Uno tiene muchas cosas para hacer,muchas actividades, piscina,... Es super limpio😍 y lo mejor el personal. Gracias a todos por tratarme tan bien. Kevin, Rubén, Pipe y Karen de la recepcion. Had an amazing time here, very social and lots of acitvities hosted. Driving force is Karin who takes good care of everyone, including during the activities. Very safe and open place :) Would recommend!
L’hostel est très bien placé dans le quartier de San Antonio. Les dortoirs sont spacieux et propres tout comme le reste de l’hostel. La cuisine est bien équipée et il y a des activités tous les jours. Je recommande les cours de Salsa privés avec Sofia ainsi que les free Salsa Lessons quotidiens :) Merci à Karín pour l’organisation de toutes les activités, notamment la dégustation de fruits colombiens et le Party Bus du vendredi soir :)
The hostel is very well located in the neighborhood of San Antonio. The dormitories are spacious and clean just like the rest of the hostel. The kitchen is well equipped and there are activities every day. I recommend the private Salsa lessons with Sofia as well as the free daily Salsa Lessons:) Thanks to Karín for organizing all the activities, including the Colombian fruit tasting and the Friday Night Bus Party:)
My stay at Viajero Cali was honestly such a great experience. The hostel had an amazing social atmosphere, and it was so easy to meet people and join in on the activities every day. A special thanks to Karin for putting together fun activities to keep all of us entertained and social. Huge thanks to Pipe, and Ruben for being so friendly to me and taking care of any inconveniences I had. they all really made the stay feel personal and memorable. It was an AMAZING experience to stay here!! The people, the vibe and of course the salsa;))!! The staff is very kind and helpful ig you need anything at all. I especially had a good experience with Juanda and Karen🥰!
J'ai passé un super séjour à El Viajero ! Le staff est super aimable, à l'écoute et toujours prêt à répondre aux questions. Les chambres sont agréables et propres, comme la cuisine qui est super bien tenue. L'emplacement est idéal.Lo . séjour de 4 jours s'est transformé en séjour de 2 semaines! I had a great stay at El Viajero ! The staff was super friendly, attentive and always ready to answer questions. The rooms are nice and clean, as is the kitchen which is super well kept. The location is ideal. The . stay of 4 days turned into a stay of 2 weeks! Thank you again to Karen, Kevin, Juanda and Ruben for their helpfulness and lovability. See you soon !
Really good, super social. Felt safe as a solo female traveler. Sometimes it felt a little pushy to join hostel events when I mentioned I was going to a local one, but overall was really good!
