+ La ubicación
- La dona que había en el desayuno tenía moho y era evidente que estaba en mal estado y la persona responsable no se hizo cargo del problema ni pidió disculpas. Además la habitación estaba subiendo unas escaleras estrechas y se nos hizo muy tedioso subir el equipaje.

- -Le sol de la chambre 7 était sale. -La salle de bain était dans un état affreux avec des traces par terre , les wc était cassé et il y avait des traces autour , moisissures , douche bouchée avec des cheveux donc l’eau ne s’écoule pas et inonde le sol de la salle de bain et pour couronner le tout une invasion de fourmis. Nous avons constaté cela et avons pris des photos à notre première nuit et les avons envoyé immédiatement pour demander le remboursement de la deuxième nuit. Ce qui nous a été proposé : un remboursement si nous partions sous conditions avant 1h de l’après midi, ce à quoi j’ai répondu que ce n’était pas commercial puisque nous avons perdu du temps pour venir dans cet endroit et que je ne voulais pas perdre du temps et me stresser à cause de leurs négligences. Rien a été reconnu malgré les photos envoyées (je ne peux en mettre que 4 ici) on m’a répondu que c’était une « vieille maison », mais très clairement nos constations n’ont rien a voir avec le fait que la maison soit vieille. Il s’agit d’entretien et de propreté. D’ailleurs effectivement je confirme que dans la chambre vous allez aussi trouver des traces aux mur d’humidités et de moisissures ou encore de rouille. Pour finir, je confirme les commentaires sur la piscine , attention cette dernière est minuscule et non entretenue (comme l’eau dans l’enclos de la tortue d’ailleurs) ainsi que le petit déjeuner qui est simple et pas forcément de super qualité en terme de fraîcheur. Je n’y reviendrai jamais et c’est dommage car l’endroit pourrait être bien mieux si entretenu.

- Totally run down - photos are a lie, the pool (if you can call it that) isn't usable and also a tenth of the size of the photo. I also work whilst travelling and the WiFi never worked and no attempt to try and get some connection so I had to pay another hotel to use their WiFi in order to work. Towels had stains on. Bedding had stains on. Breakfast was also pathetic, some nacho chips and salsa with one type of fruit (we had papaya) and yoghurt.
+ The house is pretty and located in the old part of the city downtown
- From the check in we were told repeatedly that we couldn’t make loud noise and to keep calm environment. Oh surprise! First thing in the morning we are woken to someone HAMMERING at our room’s wall!! How could they be so inconsiderate to do construction next to an occupied room?!?? Add to it that the pillows are very uncomfortable and I had a terrible night.

- The bedroom really smelled of mold and dead bodies. I’ve never ever experienced lack of sleep due to a smell or odor. But this stay i didn’t sleep at all. The hotell refunded for half the stay even tho i’ve would have appreciated a full refund due to the insane smell and odor we’ve had to endure the first night of our stay.
So overpriced. Beds suck. Bathroom moldy and disgusting. Terrible kitchen. don't expect to sleep longer than 7am if you're in the dorm right next to reception.
A éviter si vous ne souhaitez pas retrouver vos vêtements détruits par leur service de laverie ! J’ai confié mon linge à l’hostel, j’ai récupéré une culotte complètement trouée et un short usé comme s’il avait été porté pendant 2 ans non stop alors qu’il était neuf avant mon arrivée au Mexique… La patronne a été très dure, elle n’a rien voulu entendre et m’a seulement proposé un dédommagement de 20 pesos par nuit sur les deux dernières nuits qu’il me resta...

Super lieu, gens adorables !
The hostel is amazing! The location is perfect and close to both the ADO station and the city centre 5-10 minute walk to both. The only comment from my side is there tends to be some small branches and leafs in the pools - and the showers don’t have a lot of power. The staff is amazing though - so friendly and helpful with everything. Beds are good and 2 good kitchens are available for use. They also sometimes offer meditation, salsa and cooking classes! What a great hostel - it feels like you're in a Hacienda or very fancy place in the midst of Merida. The hostel is 7mins to ADO Centro Historico and a few walking minutes to the city centre. The beds are comfy, the AC is perfect at night as it was so hot during my stay in May. The breakfast is like a buffet and amazing, the atmosphere is very chill, but the best is the guys at the reception. Kindest guys, very helpful and considerate. I felt very safe in Merida as solo female traveller.
Super séjour! J’étais dans une chambre privée avec une amie, c’était super (lit confortable, AC, serviettes, calme). Il y a tout ce qu’il faut dans la cuisine et le petit-déjeuner le matin est apprécié. Seul bémol, la piscine ne semble pas très bien entretenue, donc pas très invitant pour se baigner. Aussi il y a des feuilles et graines d’arbres partout, un petit balais à l’occasion ne ferait pas de tord!
Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt, es war sehr sauber und ordentlich und hat eine sehr großen Garten mit Pool und einer eigene Schildkröte. Perfekt um auch mal nichts zu machen. Das Frühstück war super lecker und toll. Danke ☺️

Me encantó el ambiente que hay en el hostal, gente súper amable e ideal para quienes viajamos y trabajamos. Un ambiente tranquilo y relajado. El personal ofrece actividades de integración. La seguridad en el hostal es muy buena y el desayuno muy rico! Las instalaciones hermosas. Hace mucho que no me quedaba en un hostal tan lindo. Sobre todo me encantó conocer a la tortuga Nicté y verla comer su lunch mientras trabajaba 😁
Nothing negative to say whatsoever. Everything was perfect. Staff, amenities, breakfast, vibe, and the turtle they have in their backyard :)
The quality of this hostel for the price is incredibly good. The staff are so kind and really helpful, particularly when you need help organising something to visit another city nearby. They were all full of information and always happy to help. The breakfast was also brilliant every morning, and the spaces were clean, tidy, and spacious. Loved this place and I'd stay here again if I'm ever back in Merida. Thanks so much!!
Amazing breakfast, beautiful house and garden. Lots of chill areas, not much noise. Definitely recommend to stay here.
Stayed in the 10 (or 12?) bed dorm with ensuite, facilities were good. Security was OK - code to get in main door but dorms were just open, though there were lockers under the beds. No atmosphere at all, didn’t really talk to anyone apart from the friendly staff

+ Location was ideal. The property was stunning and still felt homey, with a layout that encouraged visiting with other travelers. It's a beautiful old building. The owners are absolutely delightful folks and the staff is super helpful. There were a couple of dipping pools, very important in the Merida heat, terraces, nice little places where you could be outdoors. Unfortunately, it was as cold as I've ever felt it in Merida at the time (very unusual), so I didn't get to really take advantage.
- Okay, super minor detail, but the latches on the coed bathroom stalls are either not properly installed or are of poor quality and I found myself locked in to toilet stalls and shower stalls on multiple occasions. This would not stop me from staying there but it does need to be addressed.
Beautiful Place! Very nice rooms, bathrooms and a lot areas to hang out. It doesn‘t feel like a hostel, it‘s more like a Hotel with Dormrooms. Big Breakfast :)
