Only hotel in Mexico where they told me I couldn’t stay after check out, otherwise i would have to pay 90 pesos or 50 pesos for just leaving my bags. I didn’t find that very nice, neither the staff.
Unfortunately, they can't get their hands full at the hostel and will try to charge you whatever they can. If you leave later on the day of departure and stay there, it costs 90 pesos. It's a nice hostel but unfortunately one of the bosses is too greedy and ruins the atmosphere. I would watch out for the food, I had food poisoning after the beef.
Profit is their number one priority. A friend got bad food poisoning and wanted to lay down and check out later just to recover. This would easily have been possible since the place was more than half empty. But they wanted him to pay another 440 pesos and extend. Also you have to pay if you want to use the wifu after checking out. It's a joke
Very strict. Not ideal for backpackers
Très reposant, mais l’ambiance y est bien plus commerciale (restaurants, tours etc.) que perdue au millieu de la jungle
Lots of hidden costs eg bag storage, using the pool after checkout and cost for drinking water. Feels more like a hotel. Unhelpful with emails prior about arrivals and tours on offer. Huts made if mosquito net but has huge holes. Really nice where it’s in the jungle and laid out nicely
Overall the hostel was good, the location is Nice, the pool is good and the rooms are fine. However you have to pay for literally everything that you want: water refills, lockers on the day you leave and even if you want them to call a taxi for you they let you pay for it. Moreover they “ forgot” that we had paid a deposit and had to argue for 10 minutes with them to get the deposit back.
Nice hostel, but the kitchen was dirty and the food was expensive and bland

Very relaxing place, in walking distance to the ruins, loved it!
I loved my stay, the staff are great. Pool is good. A nice place in the jungle I wish the kitchen was a little better and the rooms are pretty cramped
Next to temple area but still a hefty walk up. Showers were warm but slightly grotty but for 2 nights in the middle of the jungle was good.
Nice hostel, but the kitchen was dirty and the food was expensive and bland
Such a great time, beautiful location! Romeo the tour guide is great 😃 I think the kitchen could do with some more utensils though, only 1 knife and chopping board for all the guests. Overall great :)
I stayed in a shared Cabaña with four beds. It's tiny and with no cirtains but there are lockers provided. You will hear everything, the birds, monkeys and people talking cause the windows have no glas. It's a great location. You can walk in 20 minutes to the ruins. You can take a colectivo from the ADO station to the Cabañas. There are only few restaurants and no mercados in walking distance.
Loved the location in the middle of the rainforest, 30 min walk to the ruins. The pool was nice and there were iguanas everywhere!
The sheets are VERY DIRTY. Covered in blood; on our pillows, sheets, towels. Got "new ones" from reception, but these were also stained. Food in the restaurant overpriced and bad service
More like a hotel than a hostel! The room layout was a bit weird - basically a family room with double beds (not a dorm). However, beds were comfy and daily housekeeping is a nice treat! Great pool and location close to ruins. Definitely worth staying if in Palenque but don’t expect a typical hostel experience :)
Beautiful hostel that felt like a luxury treat in between other places. The location is great for visiting the ruins and if you need to go anywhere else you can catch a collectivo for a small price. The kitchen was small but enough to make brekky. Relaxing by the pool was quite nice. Just note that there is no cheap places to eat around, better do your grocerie shopping in the city
Good hostel but not very social. Very close to the ruins and they have a variety of tours (try the jungle walk, it was amazing!!) The kitchen was basic but functional, bathrooms were clean but quite old (at least in the house I was in). Beds were comfortable, rooms quite small.
This was one of the most beautiful places I have been on all my travels, with a lovely big park and garden
Lovely place. I loved the location. The kitchen wasn’t the best for cooking and also it didn’t feel really social at the hostel - maybe it’s just palenque in general.
I had a very nice time at Kin Balam cabañas, eventhough it’s a bit from the city it’s very easy to reach trough Collectivo. I would recommend it.
This is a beautiful hostel in the jungle. It's always clean, the facilities are good and the staff are all really friendly and helpful. The location is perfect as it's literally a 5/10min colectivo ride from the ruins. The only downside is that I booked a dorm room, but when I walked in it was two double beds and a singlesingle bed (mine) in one room. This felt really weird because I was put with two other couples who were sleeping in the same bed which was just really weird.
great stay in the jungle. you can heat howling monkeys. however it lacks the hostel vibe. there are no good common areas to meet other solo travelers
This was absolutely amazing! You are 10 min from the ADO terminal by colectivo! You are right in the jungle, 15-20 min walk from the ruins entrance, great big place, more like a fancy hotel not a camping place, yes you have big space also to put your tent! They game a room for only 4/6 people with a single bed and 2 big beds that could be shared (of course if you were booking for two not with a stanger!) They gave me also a big bed! Lovely view, super quiet, private bathroom in the room too but ...
The kitchen was pretty slow, but the hammocks and swimming pool was a good vibe to unwind. Also wish the beds had better setups for power outlets, had to charge in the bedroom locker. Showers were alright though, took like 3 minutes to get hot water but hot water was there
really nice cabanas in the middle of the jungle.
