The Market Hostel Alicante

Das Hostel ist sehr schlecht ausgestattet. In unserem 4er Zimmer waren kein Möglichkeit unser Gepäck einzuschließen, da die vorgesehenen Möglichkeiten sehr klein waren. Die Dusche musste alle 2-4 Sekunden erneut gedrückt werden. Es gibt eine Küche ohne Kochfeld. Die Fenster sind klein und man darf sie nicht öffnen, teilweise gab es keine Fenster in den Räumen.

J'avais tenté 2 fois dans les 72h avant mon arrivée prévue de les prévenir que je souhaitais annuler la première nuit sur 4 en raison de mon vol. Mais au lieu d'ajuster la réservation ils ont tout annulé. J'ai donc dû me trouver un autre lieu la veille, dans la période la plus achalandée de l'année à Alicante (San Juan). Je n'ai pas trouvé ça très chic.

This one is expensive and kept my money when they cancelled my booking. Not reasonable when it comes to solve problems. Don't waste your time here, Alicante has much better and Cheaper places than this one.

O quarto cheirava muito mal, deveria existir um armário ou algo para que as pessoas pudessem colocar o calçado. O staff nem o vemos. Se não fosse uma outra hóspede a ajudar me ainda agora estaria à procura do cartão para o quarto

No tengo mucha opinión salvo que tuve un inconveniente con la reserva de fuerza mayor y no me lo pudieron resolver de ninguna forma , así que bueno eso … a veces está bueno dar opciones en este caso particular . Gracias de todas formas . Saludos

Advertised as having a 24 hour "reception" however it is a whatsapp number on a piece of paper. There is practically zero staff presence except when the owners (I'm assuming) come in and clean the bathrooms. There is practically no natural light in the place whether its the dorms or the communal space and no where you can sit and relax. We really felt the lack of staff presence when realising someone in our dorm was clearly living in the hostel and present almost 24/7, so while we wanted to spea...

Fande es bisschen gruselig, in meinem Zimmer waren drei Männer mittleren Alters. Konnte niemanden kennenlernen weil es keinerlei Veranstaltungen gab. Würde es nicht empfehlen.

Room lockers are just MDF boxes with hook and eye attached, easy to break if you wanted to. I didn't see a member of staff the whole time I was there, only saw reception open once, and I wasn't coming and going at crazy hours. Some of the showers are almost impossible to use, the timed water flow doesn't work right. The atmosphere was literally nothing, it was completely silent and empty. The motion detection lights are also blinding, there's no low lighting during the night. Super meh.

J’ai bien aimé l’emplacement en général. Les chambres sont petites, c’est difficiles de circuler si nous sommes 2 personnes. La salle commune n’a pas d’ambiance malheureusement (absence de musique et de fenêtre). Rien n’est mis en place pour créer des liens entre voyageurs. J’ai beaucoup aimé la personne qui m’a accueillie, j’aurais été heureuse de la croiser davantage. Gros point faible : la douche. On dois constamment appuyer sur un bouton pour l’eau. Pros: - cleanest hostel I have ever been in my life, it was absolutely spotless - amazing location, next to train station, incredible organic supermarket, 10 mins from beach Cons: - zero ventilation in rooms so incredibly musty - AC did not distribute in room so it's stifling hot - staff move all your possessions, my bikini disappeared from the hook in the dorm. I was looking for it everywhere and it was in the laundry room? - zero reception desk? No atmosphere - showers 10 seconds long

Ya me había hospedado antes. Es un hostel casi de autogestión, sin necesidad de staff.

Une excellente adresse à Alicante ! Très bien situé, chambres propres et accueil très chaleureux. Le rapport qualité-prix est imbattable pour être en plein centre. Merci pour tout ! C'est vrai que l'ambiance est plutôt calme, mais c'est parfait pour bien se reposer après une journée de visite.

Total schönes Hostel in einer guten Lage. Das Personal ist sehr nett. Einziger negativer Punkt ist, dass die Küche nur aus einer Mikrowelle und einem Wasserkocher besteht.

So perfect !! Everyone there was sorry friendly and respectful of shared spaces. The cleanest hostel I've ever visited. The location is a dream - so central, right opposite the castle!! Thank you everyone there! :))

The hostel’s location is fantastic - however if you’re a young solo female traveler wanting a social hostel experience, this may not be the one. there were more older gentlemen staying than young folk and difficult to meet new people. PSA- the curtains are see-through when the personal light is on and the lights in the room are off. all that said, it was a clean hostel in a great location. comfortable beds and clean bathrooms (which aren’t gendered btw). overall it was just fine!

Very good hostel, centrally located and 100 metres from the airport bus stop at Mercado. Nice modern facilities. Showers and toilets all in good working order. Getting door codes for arriving after midnight was excellent and getting the door keycard for the room aswell. I didn't actually meet any staff as I arrived late and left in the morning.

Great hostel and super friendly staff. The room and bathroom toilets are super clear and I can tell they have been cleaned a few times a day. Thanks for the host who kindly let me in after I checked out due to not feeling well. Really appreciate it.

I really liked my stay at The Market Hostel. The hostel is new, super clean and it has everything you could need. Alejandra is super friendly, very helpful and makes sure that everything is immaculate.

Es un lugar destacable, excelente localización, estaría genial de tener una estufa oo algo de verdad con lo que poder cocinar

This was my first stay in a hostel and it was amazing!! I was on a top bunk and it was all enclosed with a thick curtain, felt very private and comfortable. Clean bathrooms and showers. Lockers were a bit small, but I managed. Great space in the bunk to charge devices, with a little shelf above the pillow. Didn't seem to have much of a social atmosphere, but there was a decent space with couches and tables in the common area. Awesome, very helpful staff and great location!

Very clean and accessible hostel. However, the rooms severely lack ventilation, and it is quite an anonimous hostel. This was okay for transit, but not if you are looking for something sociable.

Great basic place to stay, very central and good for public transport. Clean and secure. However no hob in the kitchen and there was strange noises from the pipes. I could sleep through it but something to keep in mind if a light sleeper!

La ubicación es perfecta , en el centro y cerca de todo. Me ha encantado el staff y súper súper limpio , volveré sin ninguna duda.

Esta muy bien ubicado, llegue despues de las 14 hs y pude hacer el auto checking super bien. Es cierto que se podría mejorar un poco la ventilación en las habitaciones (aunque había un aire acondicionado, no se como lo gestionan). La cama bien y las sabanas limpias, los baños limpios en todo momento, la cocina no la he usado porque solamente estuve 1 noche.

It’s in a very nice location. The room was amazing very clean and organised. Also the staff were extremely kind and welcoming.
