- 1. Чек ин в 14:00, чек аут в 10:00. Что можно делать с койкой в хостеле 4 часа??? 2. На 24 чел. 1 холодильник!!! Не 4, не 2. Один холодильник. Забитый напрочь, в котором тухляк и воруют продукты. 3. При выселении нам не выдали полотенца, когда мы их попросили, на нас посмотрели с таким видом, что просим отдать нам 1 милион долларов. 4. В комнате стояла вонь. 5. Лестница на верхнюю койку из металла, супер неудобная об которую можно убиться. 6. Нет никаких полочек чтоб положить телефон рядом с кроватью, только под подушку или на кровать, спать так неудобно. 7. Подушка падала с верхней койки, т.к. нет упора.
+ Had mixed experiences at Karandi. The hostel itself is clean and has a nice common area. The time I was there there was not much social vibe cause there were lots of groups, families and couples. For me it wasn’t a big deal cause I was busy doing tours anyways what leads me to the next topic.
- Be careful with the services the hostel offers. I booked a full day tour to cocovado Nationalpark going there by boat from sierpe through the mangroves and doing a guided hike in the jungle and returning back in the evening. What I actually got was not what I booked. I got a tour which went through the open sea (so no mangroves) and the “hike” was a small walk (approx. 800meters into the forest and back) with snorkeling on the way back at Caño Island and returning back on the afternoon. I do like snorkeling but first of all in the morning when I asked if I should bring my swimsuit they said no so I couldn’t even go into the water and do the snorkeling and second I already went Scuba Diving the days before so I wouldn’t have signed up for snorkeling, I’d rather go on a proper hike. Long story short in the end I paid 150 USD for a tour I actually didn’t book. Second unhappy experience is that I forgot my water bottle at the hostel when I checked out and had to go to a different hostel cause they were fully booked. In the evening I was walking back to Karandi (40 mins each way) to get my water bottle which I left at the kitchen. Unfortunately there was only a security guy who wouldn’t let me into the property cause I wasn’t staying there anymore I even tho I told him about the situation and showed him the booking I had at the hostel till the morning of the same day. So I asked him kindly if he could go and have a look for my bottle at the kitchen if he refuses me to get into the property. He refused to do so and said the bottle is gonna be at the lost and found at the office which is looked in the nighttime. Completely okay they have their rules and safety standards but in the morning when I called the reception to ask for my bottle once again they sent me a picture to confirm if it’s my bottle or not FROM THE KITCHEN! So they just let me walk in the night for 1 1/2h for nothing. Well at least in the next morning when I picket up my bottle they did the bare...
A very nice hostel BUT they have a bug problem. Not bedbugs, but others. They were in pillowcases, and eggs and bug wings were on the beds and pillows. The staff at reception tried to help us out, but almost every room had this problem. It seemed from their reactions they've known about it already, so why doesn't the owner do something about it? Honestly sad, because it's a really nice hostel apart from the bugs. The beds, kitchen and bathrooms werd good enough. But PLEASE do something about it...
J’ai tres mal dormis pour plusieurs raisons : 1) le lit est plus petit que moi et je fais 1.77 et j’ai été obligé d’avoir le lit en hauteur mais il est super dangereux car il le vide tout au tour du lit… 2) entre les chambres c’est pas des murs mais des fines planches en bois, ON ENTEND TOUT à cause de ça je me suis réveillée plusieurs fois à 4h du matin, 5het 6h… 3) le frigo est trop petit pour tous le monde. C’est horrible. Je le recommande pas. Y a que de l’eau fro...
I slept very poorly for several reasons: 1) the bed is smaller than me and I'm 1.77m and I was forced to have the bed in the height but it's super dangerous because it empties the whole around the bed... 2) between the bedrooms there are not walls but thin wooden planks, ONLY GOOD for EVERYTHING because of that I woke up several times at 4am, 5am and 6am... 3) the fridge is too small for everyone. It's horrible. I don't recommend it. There's only cold water.

- Il a fait très très chaud dans la chambre, et ce malgré le ventilateur et alors qu’il faisait frais dehors ! Les équipements sont également assez limités : petit filet sous la douche, pas de lampe individuelle pour lire le soir dans le dortoir, ni même de dossier pour s’assoir dans son lit. Les espaces extérieurs ne sont pas des plus confortables non plus.
+ La ubicación es muy accesible, tiene estacionamiento y lugar para hacer ejercicio. La cocina está bien equipada. La decoración del lugar es muy bonita.
- La cocina es abierta y los bichos se acercan demasiado a la comida. Las camas y almohadas no son cómodas. El ventilador de la habitación estaba suelto y sonó toda la noche. Deberían ponerle luces a las camas inferiores.

Ich hatte vier Nächte im 4er-Frauen-Dorm (je 21$) gebucht, bin aber nach einer Nacht gegangen. Es war sehr heiß, viele Mücken, kleine Spinde, keine Ablagen (und nein nicht für nasse Sachen! Sondern einfach persönliche Gegenstände). Die Küche war schmutzig und überlastet, insgesamt wirkt das Hostel nicht für so viele Gäste ausgelegt. Kaum socialarea TopLage 12 min vom Strand, freundliches Personal und faire Stornierung (eine Nacht). Die sehr guten Bewertungen kann ich leider nicht nac...
I had booked four nights in the 4er-Women-Dorm (it's $21), but left after one night. It was very hot, lots of mosquitoes, small lockers, no Ablagen (and no not for wet stuff! but just personal items). The kitchen was dirty and overloaded, overall the hostel doesn't seem designed for so many guests. Kaumrea sociala TopLage 12 min vom Strand, freundliches Personal und faire Cannierung (e Nachtine). The very good reviews I can't understand unfortunately.
Super nice people and nice facilities. However, mosquitos got in our room at night which was uncomfortable and the birds get noisy very early! But overall, it is a unique hostel and a good value stay!

+ Excellent rapport qualité prix ! Propreté impeccable, espace commun complet y compris une petite salle de sport et un beau jardin, chambre très confortable avec rangement et salle de bain commune propre. Situé à 10 min à pied de l’entrée du parc, mini supermarket à côté ainsi que restaurants/cafe de toutes sortes. Le personnel était correct mais mention spéciale à une jeune réception de l’après midi soir (céleste je crois) qui a été très professionnelle et solaire !

+ This was such a great space and I had a few more days to book an Uvita and re-booked here. Awesome atmosphere, fair price, quiet, and all the workers and people there were super kind. Great space ! Loved that each room had a back patio and only 4 to a room was really nice too. Thank you!

I loved my stay in Karandi Hostel. The rooms were nice and clean. There were some tiny ants in the rooms, but I guess you can’t avoid that here. It didn’t really bother me and they cleaned the room every day so…. The hostel has a nice area to chill and a beautiful garden.

En general, la hostal es cómoda y bien ubicada, aunque las habitaciones son un poco estrechas y podrian agregar un mosquitero individual a las camas. Tiene un jardin precioso donde se pueden ver diferentes aves. Es limpio y agradable, cerca de todo. Recomendado.
Overall, the hostel is comfortable and well located, although the rooms are a bit narrow and you could add an individual mosquito net to the beds. it has a beautiful garden where you can see different birds. it is clean and pleasant, close to everything. recommended.
