Yasi Hostel

The worst hostel I’ve ever stayed, some of the girl staff or staff’s friends are very unfriendly. They kick everyone out of the kitchen and have the party for themselves, even though it’s Christmas Eve!! And the bathroom is ridiculous, dirty and uncomfortable.

Auberge de jeunesse pratique et c’est chouet te d’avoir le petit dejeuner mais les dortoirs sont froids et les douches egalement, le jet d’eau n’est pas du tout pratique car il eclabousse partout et est situé tres en hauteur

The “superior” room I booked was the size of a shoebox but it had nice bed. I wouldn’t stay here again because of the bathrooms/showers

The hostel is very cute and the staff was really nice and friendly. The kitchen is good, has everything you need. The breakfast was nice, bread, jam, fruit, coffee etc. my one big problem was the location, it was quite far from the city center (>25mins walk), and the bus stopwas not in operation when I was there. Dorms themselves were quite small, not much room to move around. The public areas of the hostel were really nice, and the WiFi worked well so I could do work and such.

Despite the good reviews I didn’t really like it here. The staff were nice but it felt quite isolating, as a solo traveler it was hard to meet people (the bar was open to the public and full every night with families). The bathroom situation was not good at all. The rooms are dark and people lock themselves away. Location was too far from town, I’d recommend booking something closer.

N'étant pas fan de ce format d'hébergement, je ne peux pas dire que j'ai apprécié le séjour. Mais c'est aussi propre à ma façon de voyager. Les chambres sont très petites. Compliqué pour faire sa valise .. sans déranger autour.. Dans le cadre d'un déplacement pour le travail, l'auberge de jeunesse n'est peut-être pas le plus adaptée. Le matin tôt, les personnes dorment et compliqué de se préparer sans les déranger..

This hostel had free breakfast included in the price which was very nice! However, there isa public bar in the hostel and it used the same kitchen as the guests, which made it pretty cramped to cook. Bathrooms were not the cleanest an were gender-neutral. We had to make our own beds and undo them, which wasn't so bad but arriving after a day of travel, it caught me off guard. Beds were comfy with curtains.

Excelente Hostal. Muy recomendable. Queda a pie algo lejos del centro histórico de Lyon, de todas formas caminable. El personal es increíble y el bar adjunto al hostal es buenísimo. Muy buenos desayunos igualmente.

Agréable séjour, j'y retournerai sûrement

Had a great time! Met many people, good beds, good breakfast and also close to the trainstation, but it was quite a walk to the old town and other attractions.

Auberge bien située à une dizaine de minutes de la gare Part Dieu à pied, propre et personnel super sympa.

J’ai extrêmement bien dormi ! Tout était parfait. Parfait pour prendre le train tôt à Part Dieu.

I had a great stay at Yasi. I was intentionally looking for a place that was not in the middle of all the touristy stuff and close to the train station I needed to get back to Paris so this was perfect for me but I see how some might like to be closer in. This was my first time booking a private room in a hostel and I may never do communal again because the setup at Yasi spoiled me! I had everything I needed in my room and the staff was very kind and helpful. I would love to stay here again.

Top, le personnel est très accueillant et agréable, les dortoirs, espaces communs et sanitaires sont propres. On se sent tout de suite à l'aise et en sécurité. J'étais dans un dortoir de 10 personnes, et malgré ça j'avais un espace personnel grâce au rideau et aux rangements de mon lit. Le petit déjeuner était très agréable. C'était ma première expérience seul et en auberge et je reviendrai les yeux fermés !

a 10/10 stay. loved everything about Yasi Hostel.

Quiet, clean, relatively easy to walk to and from the train station. Comfortable seating area along the outside of the building. Showers are a bit cramped, very little space to keep change of clothes dry while showering. The breakfast situation was very confusing. Easy to find the kitchen area, but very disorganized. I walked away hungry without eating because I wasn't sure what was available to eat, what was provided by the hostel and what belonged to other guests.

Overall solid hostel. My room smelled but not sure there’s anything the hostel can do abt that. Nothing overly amazing, but good hostel for a good nights sleep. free breakfast was very good and helpful! location was also great

Ik heb een goed verblijf gehad maar ik vond dat vooral het ontbijt wat schoner kon. Ook was er wel een gemeenschappelijke keuken maar ik had het idee dat die vaak werd gebruikt door de staff zelf ipv de gasten. Had niet het idee dat er veel ruimte was om te koken. Verder niks mis met de kamers en de douches/toiletten.
