Only comforter was provided for bed (no sheet but that might have been a mistake). Bed not clean (hair and dirt on the mattress). Most people working at reception were quite unfriendly. There were only 3 washrooms which were sink/toilet/shower so in use for a long time when people were showering.

Horrible hostel in a very dirty neighborhood. 8 beds in a small room measuring 3 by 5 meters, nothing more uncomfortable and inhumane. It is not possible to cook, in the reception a water leak that formed a puddle. Expensive breakfast and generally horrible quality. Very expensive for the low quality. I don't recommend it to anyone

Ich hatte Bettwanzen und hab das Geld zwar zurückerstattet bekommen, aber musste erst diskutieren und mir anhören, dass es vielleicht nur ne Allergie ist und ich nicht alles glauben soll, was im Internet steht, obwohl ich eindeutige Bisse hatte und auch Blut auf der Bettwäsche. Ich hab dann das Zimmer gewechselt, aber das Bett wurde am selben Abend weitervermietet, also bewusst in Kauf genommen, dass noch mehr Leute Bettwanzen bekommen könnten. Geht leider wirklich gar nicht.

As a solo female traveller I did not feel safe in the area and got cat called. I did not feel safe and booked a room in another hostel and booked non refundable so I couldn’t get a refund. Make sure you book a refundable room so you can get a refund. I would not recommend for solo female traveller due to the area it’s located

Les salles de bain sont sales, sentent l'urine, il y a des cheveux et poils partout dans les lavabos et les douches. Dans les chambres, le sol est sale, les lumières pourraient être optimisées pour ne pas qu'une des lampes "perso" illumine toute la pièce. Isolation à revoir, il y faisait froid malgré la couette et tous les bruits de pas autour de la chambre se font entendre Dommage parce qu'il y a du potentiel, rien à voir avec les photos qui pour le coup vendent du reve

Stuff are very nice, open for talks! There are a lot of books and games that can be played. Everything is very clean. However, sometimes you have to wait for a bathroom and lockers are pretty small. Also, beds and pillows are not really comfortable.

Il n’y avait pas de dejeuner le matin. On a demander pour la nourriture. Dans les douche il y avait beaucoup de moisisure sur les murs (trop humide et pas de ventilation). Emplacement proche du vieux lyon mais quartier laisse à désirer.

No pase una buena noche, el calor en la habitacion es insoportable, te rentan un ventilador a un precio alto que no sirve de nada ya que no hay ventilacion, no pude dormir nada, los bbaños estan sucios, un aire acondicionado marcaria mucho la diferencia.

I was really disappointed with this hostel. At the price I paid I had basic expectations for the hostel that weren't met -- There were hairs and dirt on the bed sheets, the room was boiling hot with no fan, you had to buy a lock in order to lock the locker, and the bunk beds didn't have any privacy curtain. The neighbourhood and location wasn't great either. Definitely would not stay again.

Door lock didn’t work, so no safety. And during november it was really cold to have to use a shower and toilet outside. Staff was very friendly though.

The hostel itself was fine. I would have preferred to be able to book a female-only dorm without it being a surcharge. The courtyard was nice, and free coffee after breakfast hours. The security lockers in the dorm were not large enough to fit my suitcase, towels were not included and there were no bathmats in the shower stalls. As for the neighborhood, I didn't feel safe after dark on some of the intersections getting to and from, I saw fights and there were crowds of loitering men.

Dans la globalité, tout est bien il y a une bonne ambiance le lit est confortable on se sent bien . Le seul petit point pourrait être la chaleur . Il fait beaucoup trop chaud dans les chambres mais sinon tout est parfait.

I enjoyed my stay at Slo Lyon Saxe. Really chill and cozy place with nice staff available 24/7. I totally recommend!

Hostel an sich voll okay und das Personal sehr nett, man zahlt weder für Gepäckaufbewahrung noch für die Lockers. Es gab ein Behinderten WC was die Frauen benutzen durften sonst gibt es das gemischte WC. Viele sagen die Umgebung war für eine Frau unangenehm, was ich verstehen kann weil viele Männer auf der Straße waren, aber ich persönlich hatte kein Problem damit und wurde auch nicht gecatfisht oder angestarrt. Vielleicht ist es im Sommer aber anders wenn man kürzere Sachen anhat.

Friendly staff, ok beds. Some of the guests weren’t following hostel etiquette (leaving the lights on, talking at 4 am etc). Sleeping area is cramped. Not a social hostel but fine for a couple nights. Bathroom are not well maintained or very clean. Better to avoid walking around the neighbourhood at night if you’re alone. During the day it’s fine. Close to the river and easy to get everywhere.

De lejos el mejor hostal donde me he quedado, la organización es bien hecha y las instalaciones son limpias y suficientes, el precio imbatible por lo que ofrecen, lo recomiendo ampliamente

No social atmosphere at all. Dorm was fine. Kitchen had everything you need but was small. Free tea/coffee was nice :)

I stayed there for two nights. I was in the common area with the girls. It was noisy both nights. Your shared bed and the entire room are completely unprotected from otherworldly noise. On the first night, when I fell asleep after midnight, someone kept slamming the door in the hallway, and the sound woke up our entire room. It was very unpleasant because you'd fall asleep and then wake up again. On the second night, one of the guests was talking loudly on the phone in the hallway after midnight

My two night stay went without any hitches. My only criticism would be the kitchen is tiny, there's only room for one person at a time to use it. When you are in there though it's equipped enough to prepare a basic meal. The 6 bed mixed dorm that I was in was comfortable enough. Regarding the neighbourhood which seems to get a lot of comments. Personally I can't see a problem Lyon like most other European cities is a multi racial city, accept that and you'll be fine.

It’s an ok place if you are passing by Lyon for a few nights, the rooms are a bit small and the bathrooms and showers are okeyish. If you plan to work online or you have a meeting or something like that the common area is too small, better go to the other one in Les Pentecost, great coworking space. They also have this hilarious rule of not alcoholic drinks from outside, however, if you buy theirs is ok. This is something that it’s ridiculous in a hostel setting. Definitely 6/10

Très agréable et excellente expérience

I dont usually leave reviews, but having read some of the others I felt compelled to pint out: I think many of the comments about this being in a 'bad' or 'dangerous ' area are pretty racially motivated. While I absolutely wouldn't discredit the women saying they'd experienced cat calling etc, I suspect the several middle aged men making such complaints are simply prejudiced against a predominately north african neighbourhood, where you can find great affordable food and a nice community feel.

Tener un lavabo para dos habitaciones de 8 personas cada una puede ser un caos muchas veces. El personal muy amable.
