Après avoir été validée il y a eu une annulation de la part de l établissement me mettant dans l embarras pour trouver une autre lieu pour dormir
After I was validated there was a cancellation from the establishment putting me in the embarrassment of finding another place to sleep
Nice Hostel but expensive. TV not really in use (old)
Expensive but I think that’s all options in Skye. There aren’t lockers so you either gotta take your stuff with you or be trusting. The kitchen is big and nice, bed was comfy and staff was nice. Overall it was a nice stay!
There was an Italian woman at the reception who was superb, unfortunately I do not know her name. She made us feel welcome even if we come with kids (aligned before with skye basecamp, thanks for it) and was super helpful in general. The hostel is great, price was a bit high but maybe it was because of short notice e booking 10 days before. I would come back in general but I recommend to state it more clear that it is an 16+ hostel
Preis-Leistung eher teuer, sehr hellhörige Zimmer und kein persönlicher Kontakt zum Staff (bei Ankunft gegen 20 Uhr hing ein für jeden einsehbarer Zettel mit dem Türcode unseres Zimmers an der Rezeption), ansonsten aber sehr gut ausgestattete Küche und gute Lage mit eigenen Parkmöglichkeiten. Insgesamt aber empfehlenswert :)
Price-performance rather expensive, very hot room and no personal contact with the staff (on arrival around 20h there was a note for each visitor with the Türcode of our room at the reception), otherwise but very well equipped kitchen and good location with private parking facilities.
Very nice vibe at this hostel. Staff was very helpful and the common area is nice. Cleanliness is also great

Heel goed verblijf in een bijzonder aangenaam hostal. Wij zijn 65+ en het was al een heel aantal jaren geleden dat we nog eens in een hostal geweest waren, dit was een goede nieuwe kennismaking. Skye Basecamp is gelegen in Broadford enkele kilometer na de brug naar Skye, er is parkeerplaats, openbaar vervoer , een supermarkt en enkele restaurants vlakbij. Het is een goede uitvalsbasis voor hiking of voor uitstappen over gans Skye. Vriendelijke en correcte ontvangst, goede rondleiding en uitle...
We are 65+ and it has been quite a number of years since we had been to a hostel again, this was a good new acquaintance. skye basecamp is located in broadford a few kilometres from the bridge to skye, there are parking spaces, public transport, a supermarket and some restaurants nearby. it is a good base for hiking or for outings over all skye. friendly and correct reception, good round-trip and explanation.
great view, feel homy, and great equipments. The only less great thing is the isolation (you can hear the room next yours)

Simply put the most amazing Hostel I've ever stayed at! Booked the private deluxe for me and a group of friends and we couldn't have asked for anything more, our stay on Skye was absolutely perfect, from the facilities to the staff, location and everything in between. Highly recommend and will most certainly come back here!

A great place to stay for many days as a base to explore Skye. Cat had great tips on places that were not flooded with other tourists. The kitchen is big and homely, as well as the common living room with pool table. Summary: would recommend!
Très belle vue depuis notre chambre. Magnifique organisation des parties communes dans la cuisine. Espace commun convivial avec le billard et la vue sur mer. On se sent comme à la maison. Lave linge et sèche linge disponible pour quelques livres. Supermarché est juste à côté. Le Staff dynamique et très sympathique (Big UP Mike)
Very nice view from our bedroom. wonderful organization of common parties in the kitchen. friendly common area with pool and sea view. we feel at home. laundry and dry cleaning available for a few pounds. supermarket is right next door. the dynamic and very friendly staff (big up mike)
This was the most wonderful accommodation with sea views. All the staff were so lovely and every room was well maintained. I cannot recommend this location enough and will definitely be returning at a later date. :)
What a beautiful spot, this place looks out over the sea in a little town called Broadford. It is homely and cozy, with lots of little touches to make it feel so welcoming. A pool table, loads of books, guitars, games, great drying room, large kitchen, friendly staff. Our room overlooked the sea, which was such a beutiful view. We walked down to the fish n chips shop and sat looking at the sunset whilst eating them. I could have stayed a week here. A great base to explore, about an hour from Old...

Absolutely wonderful hostel. Especially surprised by the big and fully equipped kitchen and sweet staff. The beds were comfortable too. Would definetely come back.
Truly wonderful experience. The hostel is really clean, has a great kitchen with everything you need, and the atmosphere was also great. The people who worked there were really friendly and helped me with planning what to see on the island. Would definitely stay there again if I have the chance!

This place is absolutely 10/10. The common rooms are amazing and feel so welcoming. The owner was so lovely. He was so welcoming and was great to chat to, he’d even bought pizzas for the communal fridge for everyone to have. I would definitely recommend!!

Wonderful place to stay on skye! The common areas are large and very confortable
this is hands down the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The staff was beyond nice - family run place. The facilities were clean. There were always people milling about and going on adventures and wanting to talk. The dining and common areas were a place of camaraderie. I would absolutely go back and stay here again!! They have a drying room too that was a game changer so nice.
Wonderful place to stay, highly recommend. Homely vibe with great views and facilities, including a drying room after a rainy hike. As the name says, an excellent base camp for exploring Skye, will happily stay again in the future.

The staff was super nice to us and very helpful! made sure we knew what we were doing and Cait was always there to give good advice! they also were super understanding and helpful when we messed up our reservations and fixed it for us for free
