Wild Monkeys Hostel

Told staff I had food poisoning and wanted something easy to eat like just bread. They decided to charge me full price of a meal. Beds are also not very comfortable and had loud works going on at 10am.

Really great hostel. Comfortable dorms. Unfortunately, they lost two of my t shirts when I turned in laundry. I didn’t realize it until my next stop. Otherwise, it would be nearly perfect other than the steep price and too many people having sex in the dorms during my stay.

Really fancy and expensive hostel zero vibe though. If you’re a solo traveler I recommend you to go somewhere else. For the rest all the extras are to be paid for. Laundry is 300 pesos per kilo. Which means if you wash 10kgs it’s going to set you back over 50 dollars. WILD😂

Hostel is niet heel sociaal. Kamers zijn wel luxe en netjes. Enige nadeel is dat als het regent je nat wordt wanneer je op de wc zit.

Lovely hostel and lovely staff. Only criticisms I would have - the hostel is ‘off the main road’ down an alley , not far from the strip but never less as a solo female traveller I was not keen on that. Also in the deluxe dorm, you have to walk past the common room to use the toilet etc where as the bigger dorm had their own door to bathroom etc. just a little awkward if you want an early night but they are playing games in the main room. Otherwise all very nice !

Beautiful place with a great location to stay in Malboal! Be aware it’s not really a social hostel… There are not many activities provided by the hostel.

Really comfortable stay, dorms and bathrooms were always very clean. Comfy beds with light, wall plug and curtains. Good AC. Outdoor showers were really nice although the water wasn’t often warm. I kept my belongings in my bed because the lockers were outside instead of the room- otherwise would have been a bit annoying going back and forth. Staff are really kind, booked Canyoneering through the hostel as well as airport transfer. Not social at all though.

Really enjoyed my stay here. So clean and boujee more like a hotel with two pillows !!! Hooks in your bed and a lot of space for stuff. Outdoor ish showers were lovely, great location too. More on the expensive side but worth the money for sure.

Nice little hostel, staff are so lovely and one guy even got up at 3am to make sure my driver came for the Whale Shark excursion! It’s the quietest hostel I’ve stayed in, I saw about 2 people the whole time I was there (3 nights) but I met up with people from other hostels. It’s located down one of the side roads, which when it has rained turns into a mud slide so it was a mission coming back and forth. Really good hostel with fantastic facilities but I didn’t find it too social, maybe if they did more activities or pre drinks at the bar in the evening it would be good

Beautiful, perfect location, comfortable beds with storage space and cool lights, lots of privacy, beautiful bathrooms with rain showers, super easy to socialize and make friends and the most awesome staff!! Jane, Kyle, Carlo and Alliah were all sooo friendly, funny and helpful! I’ve been booking top rated hostels and being so disappointed, but this one has been probably the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at!

Enjoyed my stay at Wild Monkey. It is a 16 bed hostel,small enough to meet everyone staying there. Has a nice socializing area. The staff are wonderful. The bunks are very comfortable and rooms spacious. Close to the main road where all the restaurants are located and near the Sardine run. The only negative is the unpaved road outside the hostel which gets extremly muddy when it rains.

The hostel was lovely, very clean and tidy. There is a cover for the walkway to the toilets / showers and lockers. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. It’s not a social hotel as such. But would absolutely recommended to anyone travelling to Moalboal. The hostel is just down a side street and about a 3-5 min walk away from the sardine run. Close enough to everything but also far enough not to be disturbed. Only side note is there’s not a lot of floor space in 4 bed dorm, perfect other...

Loved the beds. So comfy and luxurious. Big bathroom space. Best hostel in south east Asia!

I really enjoyed my stay here! The staff was very nice and helpful. Everything was super clean as well. Great hostel for socializing but also for staying more reserved!

Sehr nah am Strand und alles gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Trotz der Partymeile um die Ecke, war es immer angenehm ruhig wenn man zum Schlafen zurück kam. Personal war immer superlieb, hilfsbereit und konnte immer gute Tips für die Umgebung geben. Aufenthalt hat sehr Spaß gemacht, gerne wieder!!

Erg goed hostel, bed was top (twee kussens) mooie verlichting in het bed. Het was erg schoon. De buitendouches waren erg cool, alleen wees er bewust van dat er een heleboel spinnen zitten. Personeel was super aardig. Enige minpuntjes zijn dus dat er veel spinnen en kakkerlakken zitten (dat is wel ook beetje de vibe van het buiten douchen) en de handdoek die je krijgt droogt totaal niet. Verder zou ik het zeker aanraden!

Amazing hostal! By far the cleanest I been in The Philippines and also for their laundry service, was top quality, the best I have in south east Asia. Is low season so don’t expect a party hostal, but still is a social hostal, so you won’t trouble making friends. WiFi works pretty good, they rent snorkel mask, the ac is quite new so no noise at all, and beds really comfortable, even two proper pillows. And personal is super friendly, they care about whatever you need, very polite and profess...
