Einfach nur ekelhaft! Die Küche ist komplett versifft, die Kühlschranke wurde mit Sicherheit noch nie gereinigt, Badezimmer auch extrem dreckig. Zimmer sind extrem stickig und die Türen knallen super laut. Matratze war auch komplett durch gelegen. Das einzige positive ist, dass die Bettwäsche sauber war. Es gibt 3 Waschmaschinen und 3 Trockner, jeweils eine Maschine war kaputt. Super bei ca 200 Leuten. Wenn man sein Gepäck einlagern möchte, soll man auch noch zahlen - einfach nur frech! 0/...

One of the worst hostels I’ve stayed at in NZ. The communal bathrooms were out of toilet paper and soap, had to go into the men’s bathroom to get tp from there.

There is major construction work happening on the ground floor, Despite this, rooms are still being offered at full price. The noise is extreme — drilling and hammering throughout the day. It’s incredibly loud, making it nearly impossible to sleep, relax, or even have a peaceful meal. In its current state, I absolutely cannot recommend this place. Bed bugs!! I came away after 2 nights covered in bed bug bites. I’ve had to hot wash and freeze all my stuff, and hopefully won’t have brought them with me. Stayed in a dorm room, but they’ll spread easily. I emailed the hostel to notify them (and asked for a refund) - I got no response which is disappointing. The staff are very helpful, friendly, and seam to enjoy being there. My grievances are mostly minor issues. There were only around a half dozen parking spaces if you drive. The elevator made more noises than I was comfortable with and seamed like it was nearing the end of its useful life. There aren’t enough shower stalls for all the people staying on the floor. The location isn’t in the middle of downtown, but it’s a moderate walk to main strip. Not horrible, but not great either.

Was in room 810. Very loud, couldn't get a full night sleep. 810 is next to the toilet, every time the toilet door was used it slammed waking me up. Mold on bedroom walls. Showers and toilets discussing.

The atmosphere in this hostel was awful. It felt like I was in a homeless shelter. The room was fine but the rest of the spaces were definitely not. The bathroom was really dirty and had a gross smell. The kitchen was really poorly equipped and filthy as well. Would definitely not recommend staying here.

Incredibly untidy and dirty facilities, especially the bathrooms and showers. Kitchen not well equipped at all, dirty dishes and pans as well as a complete lack of forks and spoons. Staff seemed either stressed out because of a supposed shortage of staff or just didn’t really seem to care in the first place. In terms of value even for dorm prices not recommendable whatsoever.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOSTEL ON HOSTELWORLD. It's almost guaranteed that they will double book you. We were told we'd be refunded because they cancelled our booking on the day, but they quietly decided to charge us for the room they eventually managed to find for us despite not communicating having to pay anything after the amount they had messed us around. We also didn't get any opportunity to mention that we are YHA members.

verblijf hier net als het warm is. Super benauwd en warm (tot 30 graden) op de kamer. De ramen konden niet ver open en er was geen ventilatie. Het was benauwd, warm, muf en stonk op de kamer. Na vragen kregen we een ventilator (die aangaf dat t 30 graden op de kamer was), die ook niks deed voor ventilatie. ik ben een nacht eerder weggegaan en kon geen geld terugkrijgen of de datum verplaatsen. Ook locatie zit aan een enigszin onveilige straat (veel zwervers en rumoer(was bij mij een steekpartij)

Das Doppelbett war super bequem und die Einrichtung schön! Der Mann an der Rezeption war nett und der Check-in unkompliziert. Das Fenster ließ sich nicht schließen und der Raum mit Gerätschaften nebenan war recht laut.

Good place to stay, but a hostel is always a hostel. We had a private room and it was very small, but worked. The toilets were good and mostly clean but nothing fancy. Crowded at certain times of the day.

Would recommend to anyone travelling to NZ

I found the hostel very good, everything was very well organized, the service was very good, however I thought the cleaning could be a little more attentive.

Haka house is located in a convenient place to explore the city. Good facilities and staff were helpful. Very accommodating when I had to cancel a night's stay.

Good place to stay. Price are ok. Just some problems with the windows that do not close well or curtain that let the light pass but nothing very big

Good location. Rooms are very small with minimal floor space or locker space for rucksacks. All beds have lights, plug sockets and curtains which was great. Bathroom and kitchen were clean, good facilities.

Overall a good hostel

Had a good stay over at Haka House in Auckland for one night. The female dorm was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was a bit messy and not much of social vibe. Definitely does the job for a short stay!

This is a decent hostel in the city, beds are comfy and bathrooms are plentiful. No AC and tiny windows makes the rooms very hot in summer, no towels provided and the bedrooms are very small making it hard to fit bags in the room and still have floorspace.

Good property, nice staff. Just super super tight and cramped rooms.. enough space for one, maybe 2 people to be standing up out of their beds at once. Showers were decent and bathrooms were clean.

Great hostel

good location to walk to everything but very noisy at night because it's close to a main street. other than that, very clean and nice kitchen and rooms and bathrooms.

The hostel has a well-equipped, clean kitchen and soap in the showers, which are great perks. Common bathrooms are small and not very clean. My 6-person room felt cramped, and while the sheets were spotless, the room itself wasn’t very clean. No way to air out the room, and it was very hot, making the stay less comfortable overall.

Great hostel, 6 person room, little small with bags etc but very comfortable.
