Bahaus Guesthouse Hostel

Not sure from where it has so many good reviews, it’s feel like this type of places that everything it’s dirty even when you’ve cleaned. Maybe it has it’s glory days like the Ottoman Empire once but definitely not now, I wouldn’t recommend. Some of the staff safe the place!

The only positive thing about this hostel is the staff, who were very nice and friendly. Unfortunately, that’s where the good ends. I rented a private room and it was absolutely disgusting: loose cables hanging from the door, a bad smell in the room, a depressing view from the balcony to an abandoned backyard, and a bathroom completely covered in mold. Sérieux problèmes de moisissure et d’humidité

Toilet was bad and dirty. Hot water tho. We booked the room for 2, they had to move the bed together, but underneath was filth (socks, dust, bugs and others spread all over the floor) The little wardrobe had no door, curtains were super dirty. Bed sheets full of holes and pillow smelled weird.

Came back on my 2nd night to find someone else in my bed, staff had apparently put him there and my stuff was moved. No real apology, and the same happened to two others that day. I’ve never experienced such a joke. On arrival told cash only, then later card was fine. Bathrooms filthy, showers blocked, haven’t been cleaned in years. C’était très sale, la douche était bouchée, il y avait des puces de lit. On avait réservé un dortoir de 4 personnes il n’était plus disponible. Tout était de ce tenant. Côté activité un pub crawl c’est 20€. On voulait aller ailleurs mais c’était plein.

La pire auberge de ma vie. Tout est délabré, cassé. Les douches sont bouchées, les lumières ne fonctionnent pas, c’est sale, il y a des coupures d’électricité, les gens sont extrêmement bizarres dans cette auberge et j’ai meme été confrontée à une personne dangereuse qui dormait dans ma chambre (le personnel a dû l’expulser en plein milieu de la nuit). We had the most disappointing stay due to poor room conditions and the abhorrent lack of general cleanliness. This place was a massive letdown, because on this site it seemed to have mainly very positive reviews.  My boyfriend and I had booked the Deluxe Double Bed Private Bedroom with Bathroom / WC. The hostel itself is okay- there is a beautiful terrace, and the included breakfast was nice. There are some really kind volunteers especially at the bar. A staff member was really fun, extremely welcoming and made me feel safe/comfortable as well as answering all of my questions. However, the other staff were VERY creepy (other female guests said the same)- they made crude comments and suggestions, especially one staff member at the front desk. Hiii .... overall it was good but not excellent. Location is ideal. Lockers are not provided. Atmosphere of bar is nice but it's quite expensive. Good for short stay 1-2 days max. Cheers ......!!!!

I really loved this hostel , staying here made me feel right at home. Thank you so much to everyone for your hard work, especially the staff for their help, responsiveness, and kindness. I’ll definitely be back!

OfLocation is good. Staff fine they did not have recommendations other than the expensive pamphlets. I can’t believe some people rate this 5 stars and say it’s the best hostel they’ve stayed at. The rooms smell musky and old. The bathrooms are dirty with mildew and smell. They don’t restock the toilet paper as often as they should. Es un increíble lugar aquí en la zona turística de Estambul, ya que se encuentra muy cerca de la mezquita de Sultanahmet y Ayasofya, todo esta muy céntrico. El lugar es adecuado para una estancia corta a media. El Hostest Mesut es muy cordial y amable con los huéspedes ya que siempre estuvo atento a todo y recomienda muchos lugares que visitar, con buena vibra. Recomiendo el lugar si quieren estar cerca de todas las zonas turísticas y en general si quieren hacer nuevas amistades. (:

Nice hostel with a calm vibe and good facilities. The receptionist guys, Ruslan and Eziz, are super nice and made me feel at home. They helped me get back some stuff I lost. Easy to connect to other travelers over breakfast. Would come back next time!

Ingesamt hat es uns sehr gut gefallen, das Personal ist wirklich sehr nett, die Lage ist Top und konnten auch noch gut Abends ohne Angst in der Gegend uns aufhalten. Jedoch war die Tür von unserem Zimmer kaputt, weshalb jeder einfach hätte reinkommen können und es gab auch keine Schloss an den Spinden. Es ist nichts passiert, aber man weiß ja nie. Das Bad war auch bisschen heruntergekommen und es gab nur nach Nachfrage Klopapier.

Top notch hostel. Clean beds, perfect location, and a very social atmosphere. Eziz and Ruslan were fantastic hosts super helpful and friendly. I’ll definitely be staying here again next time I'm in town

Great stay! The hostel has a really nice rooftop terrace and organizes different activities every day, which makes it fun and social. Breakfast is included, which is a big plus. Highly recommend!
