Leuk hostel, vooral mega lieve en behulpzame host!!

Simply the best Nuan was amazing and Cheetah the dog slept in my bed I cried when I left this place. Unbelievable and lovely and quiet with the ocean at the bottom of the garden

Le personnel était très accueillant et aux petits soins. Les lits étaient confortables et le déjeuner délicieux! Je recommande sans hésiter si vous voulez un hostel tranquille

Wonderful stay !! Thank you to Nuwan for being so open and friendly - a great person and amazing host :) good luck with everything! Rooms and facilities were very clean and comfortable. The practically private beach is seconds away and the garden is a beautiful place to chill. The Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious, and Hikkaduwa is a short bus ride away. Overall we had the perfect stay at Tipsy Ceylon.

Our stay at Tipsy Ceylon was very nice. We had a good time. I would like to mention that especially Nuwan's hospitality made the stay amazing. He is a very kind, gentle and caring host. We even had the chance to see the release of some baby turtles. What ever we needed, Nuwan took care of it. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. For the price - it was a no brainer. Only thing you have to consider is, that if you have a light sleep, this place might be a bit tough, as it is located...

Excellent property very close to the sea. Nuwan & Michael take excellent care of you! The breakfast is lovely and Sheeta is the best!! Highly recommend

Really nice hostel! It is a bit outside of Hikkaduwa but for us that was perfect, just a 5-10 min tuktuk ride to the beach and really nice to be in a less touristy place. The room was really nice, super friendly staff and really close to the beach. Would reccomend if you want to get abit out of the most tourity area:))

Such a cool small hostel! Great breakfast and feels like a private beach :)

Very nice hostel and budget friendly.. NUWAN who works there is so friendly and talkative.. we had all sorts of interesting conversations.. I arrived in the evening and nothing was open for food nearby and I was super hungry so he walked with me to a restaurant further away from the hostel! Breakfast was lovely too had eggs and fruit with jam, salt, pepper on the side! Only negative would be the location as it’s very far out of the city.

Perfect place, people, vibe, well deserved feels like home. 🤙 Buses to the center every 5 minutes, little market 20m from the spot private acess to the beach would come again for sure!!

Best hostel for chilling and Nuwan is the best guy Felt like home

Ich fühlte mich im Hostel sehr wohl. Nuwan war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Zentrum von Hikkaduwa und der Badestrand sind mit TukTuk und Bus in 10 Minuten erreichbar. Da Off-Season ist, war ich alleine im Hostel. War für mich gut um anzukommen die ersten Tage nach dem Flug und ruhe zu haben. Kann das Hostel in der Off-Season also weiter empfehln, für diejenigen, welche spannende Gespräche mit Nuwan führen möchten und ein bisschen ruhe brauchen.

Fijn Hostel! Af en toe wel lastig met het hek dat met een slot afgesloten is. Lieve honden. Erg aardige mensen. Denk dat als het hostel vol zit het er erg gezellig kan zijn!

One of the nicest hostels I have stayed in! Very peaceful place with a big garden and a beach just past it! Really enjoyed my stay here the hosts are so lovely and caring always making sure you’re having a great experience! The dogs are also wonderful and really make the place feel super cozy. There’s bus stops just outside with buses running every 5mins into town. There’s not a lot to do in the area but with the right people it has an amazing atmosphere! Will definitely be returning!

Stayed here for a few nights and I didn’t regret it,the place is still just starting up so bare that in mind however I had no issues at all. Beautiful spot,close to the beach and at the back of the property has a huge open space to relax in which I loved. The decorating of the place is very beautiful and the staff went above and beyond Nuwan was one of my favourite people I’ve met on my travels yet,nothing is too much to ask and he wants to make your stay enjoyable and he really cares.

Great hostel, lovely host! It’s a bit out of Hikkaduwa, but a bus stops right in front so you can easily take the bus that literally goes every two minutes. There is a huge garden that borders a very peaceful beach with almost no one there! Great place to relax and have good conversations.

Hostel génial avec une cool ambiance ! C’est un peu en dehors de Hikkaduwa donc super calme avec une plage presque déserte au bout de l’immense jardin. Et il est aussi relativement facile de rejoindre Hikkaduwa qui est à 10 minutes de bus. Super expérience !
