- I reserved a female only room and was given a mix gender room so I didn’t go.

- The owner cancelled at 8 pm right before I should check in. I still have not had the $300 prepayment refunded.
- O local não fica com funcionários durante 24h, então os hóspedes não cumprem as regras quando os proprietários do Hostel não estão. Eu nunca fiquei em um hostel que não houvesse funcionários o tempo todo. Eu não me senti segura com isso. O barulho a noite dos hóspedes foi horrível, eu praticamente não dormi mais do que 2horas direto em nenhuma noite, e não tinha nenhum funcionário no local para limitar regras aos hóspedes. Eu estou exausta por não ter dormido nenhuma noite bem. E, também embaixo da cama tinha muita poeira e sujeira, isso me deixou em uma crise alérgica.

- the staff were extremely rude.After briefly leaving and returning to sit on the sofa, I was addressed over the video camera in a manner that felt unnecessarily harsh, before there was a clear understanding of the situation. The behavior is unprofessional and disrespectful, and made me very uncomfortable.

- Weird people. I heard a couple doing their things in the our shared room… No indication about the breakfast…

Highly recommend. Clean, comfy and the hosts are really lovely and understanding. As a woman travelling alone, I felt really safe in the property and in the surrounding area. Lots of eateries nearby and not far from the metro and from bus stops. If I ever come back to Houston I'll be staying here again. 10/10.
Had a great experience, staff are very caring and interested in the things you do. The amenities are awesome and being in the middle of the city is great. I have had an awesome time here and will definitely book again if I get the opportunity. Thanks guys!

+ Es muy céntrico, hay buenos restaurantes alrededor, café, al downtown y a las estaciones del Metrobus, se puede llegar caminando.
- No limpiaban diario el piso o los baños. No permiten entrar con zapatos pero tampoco limpian. Parece que se quedan muchos locales por lo que no hay una cultura real de gente que se queda en hostels alrededor del mundo: cultura, respeto, aseo. De 12mn a 4am una pareja hablando en el patio, no se podía dormir.

This was a very nice place to stay. Good value, good location. The food assortment for the gratis breakfast was an added bonus. After staying here I cancelled another location and rebooked at this location .
+ Friendly staff
It was a nice hostel if you just want to have a place to crash and chill on the couch. It was a little strange having 2 parents and a kid operating the hostel it kind of felt like you were walking into their house it was strange at first but i believe they depart in the evenings so you have more time to relax and not feel like you’re in their space.
+ Loved the location. It's a hidden gem. Staff is welcoming and accommodating. Very pleasant atmosphere. Enjoyed my stay. I rebooked several times over the span of a week.
The hostel strikes a nice balance between affordability and comfort, making it a solid choice for budget travelers who still want a welcoming and clean environment. Harold and Cathy were friendly, approachable, and always willing to help with recommendations or questions. Check-in was smooth, and I felt well taken care of from the start. The hostel also offers great value for the price, with a friendly atmosphere and solid amenities. I’d definitely consider staying here again on a future trip.

I had a great stay at MyCrib Houston Hostel. The location is excellent, everything you need is within walking distance, which made getting around really easy. The space was very clean and well-maintained, and the host was incredibly kind and attentive. He went out of his way to make sure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this place and would happily come back again.
