The location is amazing. Close enough of everything (grocery, beach, restaurants, bars, etc) but not on la Quinta. When I was there, there weren't that many people which is nice for a relax atmosphere. This is not the place if you want to party. The staff are all so helpful and fun!

I've stayed in 30+ hostels and this is the best one I've ever stayed in. Suited my vibe as solo traveller 25+, the staff are friendly, nice breakfast, good location, and the hostel is set up very well. rooftop area is nice, and small things such as how the rooms are set up made a difference (floor level lighting, good air con, shelf/light by beds, good showers). 10/10

- La propreté n’était pas tellement au rendez-vous. Pleins de cheveux dans l’écoulement de la douche lors de notre arrivé. Nous avons du déboucher nous même … la Clim ultra bruyante ! Et chambre pas hyper insonorisée. Mais sinon le reste OK !

+ Super hotel, très bien placé à quelques pas de la 5eme avenue. Parking couvert surveillé c’est un plus. Chouette piscine en rooftop. La chambre est très spacieuse, propre. Idéal pour passer plusieurs jours sur Playa au vu de son emplacement !!
SUUT hostel was really amazing. Clean, amenities were great and I felt super safe as a solo female traveller. The dorms were super nice and the setup very functional- I liked that the bathrooms were separate from the showers, and having two of each for one female dorm was great. I’d say the downside for SUUT is that the atmosphere/social activities and community could be better.

Amazing facilities in the room. I was very happy with the quality of the building for a hostel. Breakfast is made hot and is great - not the usual "here's some cereal" you can get at hostels. Very nice staff and all around a great stay! It's wasn't very social when I visited, but I didn't mind. I got the shared room to myself!
SUUT was very nice! The rooftop space is lovely and breakfast was delicious (FYI cooks seem to have Wednesdays off...the cold breakfast option was not great). The dorm was clean and had decent privacy - one weird thing is that the lights are all automatic/motion-activated and take at least 10 minutes to turn off, which is annoying if anyone gets up at night. 1 block from 5th ave, the main tourist street. ~30 min walk from the bus stop/collectivo/main beach and pier. - There is a problem with the hot water pressure in the building so sometimes you only have cold water in the bathroom.
Overall I had an enjoyable stay here! Its very clean and the beds are super comfy. Plus the breakfast was nice. Things to know: SUUT operates more like a hotel than a hostel. And they do not offer daily excursions or activities for travelers to get to know each other. If you are light sensitive I wouldn't recommend staying here as the bathrooms have automatic lights so whenever anyone comes in the room, the lights go on. An improvement would be putting a curtain between the bathrooms and the sle...
Rooftop has a nice pool area / social area and found it easy enough to meet other travellers, whether it was while hanging out on the roof or while enjoying the delicious breakfast! On my last night (a Saturday) there was a small live jazz/blues event on the rooftop which was nice. They also had a movie night (thursday maybe?) although I didn’t attend.
