Kokos Hostel Padang City

Good hostel. Stayed here twice (before and after a tour). Comfy beds, great air conditioning, towel + soap/shampoo provided in the showers. Chill bar area on the rooftop with games. Jet is a legend and really wants to help you out! Good location near the river. Only thing was the hostel wasn’t particularly social.

Likes: Staff were super friendly and helpful and were the best part of my stay. Nice roof top with pool table and free tea/coffee. Free drinking water. Dorm was very cozy with comfortable beds. Good air conditioner in dorm. Concerns: No lockers. Only one bathroom for all dorms.

Stayed here before the mentawi tour, the owner made sure everything was perfect for me. I even had a dorm to myself on the first night. He let me swap one of my books for one in the bookshelf. Wish I had more days in Padang but I had to leave. Would recommend this hostel if you are in Padang.

Mega chill hostel met een warm ontvangst. De meeste mensen gebruiken het wel om door te reizen. Zwembad was alleen niet mega schoon om in te zwemmen. Hostel was verder wel heel schoon!

My first-ever hostel experience — and WOW! I instantly had one of the best times. This hostel is incredibly cozy, with friendly people, a great lounge area, and clean showers and beds. The staff were a solid 10/10 — always enthusiastic and super helpful with everything.

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. Bathrooms and bedrooms are clean and tidy. Easy access to the fast ferry, and they have a great selection of boards if you are looking to hire. Surya and Jett are absolute legends

Amazing vibes and really nice people there, would recommend to everyone to stay longer than just doing a stop over on the way to Mentawai islands! The beds were so comfy and big, the only thing missing is a reading light and shelf and than it would be perfect :)

These guys really are the best around. Travelling for 15yrs and using hostels across the world, this one is certainly up there. The staff are beyond helpful, they have created that perfect hostel ambience- cosy relaxed and homely. I had some self inflicted trouble and caused some unintentional chaos, not only were they understanding they were extremely helpful. If your staying in Padang there really is no one else

We had a super nice stay at Kokos Hostel. The boys are very helpful and gave us a lot of recommendations and organised our trip to the next city! The chill out area on the top is very cool to relax. We came there during the rainy season so it was calm, what we really enjoyed ☺️ 10/10

Fijn hostel, leuk dakterras, vriendelijke staff. Ze hebben heel goed voor mij gezorgd toen ik ziek was, dat hoor je ook niet altijd! (Niet ziek geworden door voedsel hier in de buurt btw maar van net voordat ik hier aankwam).

Lovely hostel. Huge comfy beds, rooms have AC, nice rooftop area to hang out, free tea/coffee/water, and amazing hot showers as well. Quite a noisy location as on a main road, but well located for getting around or getting to the port - 10 min walk. Staff were lovely and helpful!

I was the only one staying at the hostel, but I felt very welcome. There is a nice bar area with a fridge filled with drinks.

Very nice hostel. Got greeted very friendly and the room and facilities were nice and clean👍. Would definitely go there again.
